i loved when anakin walks in and says " i killed a million people in the death star"
LMAO 😂
Well to be fair, Anakin did have the chance to shoot Luke down before he destroyed the Death Star. However, he failed to do so, leading to its destruction. So what he told us is true… from a certain point of view. :P

I still can't get over how the twins who grew up separately from each other somehow have the exact same hairstyle. Even the Lindsey Lohan Parent trap knew to give the twins different hairstyles
They were too cheap to change her hair although if her hair was different then it would lose the plot of them mistaking her for her sister being the killer
It's honestly unacceptable how careless they are with these high budget projects
In Parent Trap they were seperated at birth and were raised in two completely different countries so of course their hair was different. In this show the twins were raised together until they were 8. So their parents most likely gave them the same hairstyle for those 8 years and they both kept it afterwords because that is all they knew. Also it’s most likely a cultural hairstyle from where they are from. The "Evil" twin has longer hair when she is older. Does this explanation help you get over it?
@@jonathanwilkerson4592 180 million dollar budget and they can't use two different hairstyles, golly gee

Quigon- death by saber stab.
Reva- stabbed 2X lives.
Sabeen- stabbed by saber, lived.
Jedi Master Trinity- knife….
It was Sabine not Shin, but yes it's outrageous and unfair! Also don't forget Kylo, Rey using her healing powers out of nowhere.
The knife was thrown via the force and literally stabbed her in the heart. Lightsabers also cauterize wounds because they literally burn flesh. Knives don't. Reva and Shin are also irrelevant because they used their hate to survive
@@seanc4501 sabers emit temperatures hotter than the surface level of the sun. Your blood would eviscerate within milliseconds and your organs would be atoms.
To be fair, the things with Reva and Sabine were garbage.
@@seanc4501you do realise if a lightsaber was real and someone was stabbed it would cauterize a huge amount of veins inside their body/intestines/organs destroying them completely and stopping blood flow to that part of their body, no way in hell would anybody ever survive being stabbed in the stomach with a lightsaber, this sh*t is ridiculous
Honestly it’s pretty nice to have all new characters so that they can’t ruin any more characters (other than potentially yoda).
Yoda won't be in it or probably anything Star Wars related ever again. Frank Oz is too old and Tom Kane had a stroke rendering him mute.
@@ZoomerUnion you do realize they can recast him. Or just use AI
Don't worry, Disney is trolling so hard at this point they are going to bring in Daddy Skywalker who created an elaborate plan to father "the one who brings balance to the force" using his transgender breeding program involving non-binary midichlorians who couldn't identify themselves as midichlorians and decided to perform an intersexual force orgy in order to create Anakin Skywalker.
Maybe they'll show Yoda speaking normally before he had a stroke.
I hope they make yoda gay
Much respect to Lee Jung-jae. When he first started in Squid games he couldnt speak english now he is playing a leading role speaking completly in english. WTF ? This dude either got great help in learning his lines or he is a prodigy in learning foriegn languages. Master Sol is so far my favorite character though.
I bet he worked on that REAL quick after Squid Game blew up globally, to keep momentum for bigger roles. Seems like it panned out well for him!

sith character "if you attack a jedi with a weapon you will fail, steel or laser are no threat to them." Rewind to opening scene when a jedi master dies by a steel throwing knife...
The threat was from their distraction for caring for others, hence why she killed her while distracted, just like she manipulated the second Jedi she killed through pure guilt, she is using emotion to kill.
she has to kill 4 jedi in total. But at least 1 without weapons, so at first she tries to kill her with no weapons until realising she is outmatched.
You misunderstood. The Sith was telling her to kill the jedi without a weapon because the Jedi are an idea/religion. Palps killed the idea of the Jedi by destroying what they stood for and getting the galaxy to turn on them etc.
I love how he says you don't need a weapon to kill and then immediately ignites his lightsaber! LOL
she was tasked with killing a jedi without a weapon by her master, she resorted to using her knives because she was outmatched and even then she had to distract Indara by threatening the bartender
I can't put my finger on it but theres a vibe of 'wearing a star wars skin suit' about this show. I think it's mainly the dialogue. Felt like a generic space netflix show.

Wait a minute. The good twin is on the other side of the galaxy when the bad twin murders the Jedi. Don't the powerful Jedi know that? All they are going on is the alien bar keep's description of the killer? Good twin was working on the Trade Federation ship with tons of witnesses to support that. I guess the bar and the ship don't have surveillance cameras. Not to mention, couldn't they check the nearest space port log to see what ships have been coming in and out of the planet with the bar on it? ah, forget it.
I realised for a while that I don’t think Star Wars ever had surveillance cameras or proper security systems which is incredibly weird for a galaxy full of advanced civilisations.

So no one is going to talk about how Disney is going to kill off Carrie Ann Moss in the first episode less than 5 minutes? This makes me sick! You make her the face of the new show with the trailers and interviews and boom dead? I’m so disgusted.
Exactly. She could've had more potential to be a liked character. The few seconds she had were interesting. But they killed her off way too soon. And they killed her off in such a lame way. Waste of potential for her character.
The problem is that her skin color is too light. Notice that the first two Jedi to die are both white? Not a coincidence! DEI demands darker skin tones!
@@HyperHawkGTEGod you are such a loser. Nobody cares if she was white. White people have been the head of Star Wars for years nobody cared. This “DEI” thing you and others keep spouting is so sad. If you have real complaints about the series or franchise that use those because believe me there are plenty but this backhanded racism is pointless
bros she gonna be in more scenes, we literally see her in flashbacks in the trailer
You obviously haven't paid attention to the show. The antagonist is getting revenge. What caused the revenge is going to be uncovered via flashbacks and investigations. Carrie's character is one of the 4 main Jedi targets. That means she will have screen time via flashbacks of what happened in the past
It wasn't gay enough
Kylo meme: more..More...MORE!!! 😂
“Her moms” lol😂😂 so glad they threw that in there rlly brings everything together
Yeah then just say her parents, can be 2 moms, 2 dads, but lets make it obvious it's also possible to have 2 moms xD
@Ghannon313 it is, both only one of them will really be the biological mother
@Ghannon313 nope. A stepfather that raises someone since their birth is for all matters that person's actual father, just not biologically. I understand your refusal to understand this concept, but either we want it or not this exists in the real world and there's no reason to think that this doesn't happen at least in some place in that galaxy. Do I like it? No. Do I care about it? Also no. It doesn't matter to the history
@tufab3494 not at all, a father represents a biological relationship to the child. The term dad is used as a more emotional relationship to the child. They are completely different. Also a stepfather is just that a step father. He could never be the child's father (again biological) but he could be the kids dad. So you can't have 2 father's and 2 mother's. You can have 1 father and 1 mother. That makes a baby. Before you go thats not the definition. It was until meriam-webster changed a bunch of word definitions to be more politically correct.
@@Chuberinoi think having strict definitions about a family dynamic is honestly just kinda silly, yes by definition i have a father and a mother but if people asked me about my parents i fit in the camp that say i have a mum and a sperm doner because that man is a usless piece of shit that hasnt been in my life and doesnt deseve the name of father/dad. This isnt an uncommon way of viewing your family when they are shit. I have a step dad as my mum remarried and i dont include him as a family memeber and people actually find that part weird, there is a huge difference between what all these words (mum, mother, parent & dad, father) actually mean and how they are just realistically used by people in everyday life.
Go down to your local pub and have this conversation not online and it will go very differently, people wont even agree on which one is the emotional on like i have heard both the " i have a dad but not a father" and "i have a father but not a dad". Tryjng to strictly define relationship dynamics is just never going to work.

I have a master's degree in space engineering. The "fire in space" is absolutely plaisible. The fire is burning on the outer hull, which is the boundary between a pressurized space and the vacuum. There are also pipes nearby, some of which could contain oxidizing agents or even pure oxygen itself. Finally, some metallic compounds bring their own oxygen to the combustion and basically can't be extinguished until they burn their fuel. So basically all the objections to this are the "middle of the bell curve" position of that meme, where they know enough to find it strange but not enough to know it's not actually strange.
You could give any fan half the budget of this show and end up with something twice as good...
Why don’t you then?
@@DJP1194 "give any fan half the budget" did you not read the comment? The budget for the Acolyte was $180M, give any fan $90M and they would likely produce a show at least twice as good.
I've been thinking the same. Imagine if the Star Wars franchise had been given to people who actually give a f about Star Wars and its lore.

I was still surprised that one fallen Jedi with a legion of clones battered 10,000+ Jedi… Just doesn’t make any sense on how that could’ve happened. It was even more funnier when they ran around like headless chickens getting battered by traitors with no force capabilities (Embarrassing btw)
What was even more atrocious is how most of the galaxy decided to change from their currently working and healthy government to a shit and racist autocracy with no freedom. But it's science fantasy and I can let it go
Cultural hairstyles are easy after that.
Yes and No. This actually happens suprisingly often even with twins separated at birth, a case of "reality being unrealisti"c. My thoughts on the show so far: it's okay, not bad, not great. I give it 6.5/10 so far.
Coming into this show, the trailers and interviews from the creators of the show had my expectations somewhat low but ready to give it a shot.
I think some of the costumes and set design is great and some not so much. The writing so far is okay, but the ending scene to episode 1 felt like something out of a fan film to me. Master Sol is by far my favorite character so far. Most of the other characters are okay, nothing special, but none that are too bad yet.
My main complaint is I don’t like how the lightsabers look. The lightsabers look super big and bulky to me. The hilts just look super big, both when their hanging off a Jedi's belt, and while in hand. I've read that the reason is this is a new prop version which now has the battery inside the hilt but the battery is big. I've heard some people try explain this in universe, as Lightsaber tech just not being as advanced or a different style preference of the age... That explanation doesn't cut it for me. This is less than a century before the phantom menace.
I'm interested to see where this show goes, but my expectations remain the same: meh/mid. Hoping to end up impressed by the end, but I'm also worried some of the fears I have based on stuff the director has said, might ruin the show for me.
I agree, the first 2 episodes were not boring, as SWT says. The character of the characters is clear, they are interesting to watch, especially Sol.
regarding the tech changing over a 100 year time period. we went from flying bicycle style cloth and wood airplanes with the wright brother to actually propeller fighters in 100 years...
@@katanaridingremy yes in real life. Star Wars although in some ways is meant to feel relatable, doesn’t abide by the same rules/laws as reality. I’m not saying that in universe explanation can’t work. I just don’t love accepting explanations for stuff like that just for the sake of covering up behind the scenes stuff that could’ve been avoided.
Couldn't have said it better, I totally agree with how you put it. I'm not against or entirely enthralled by the show right now; just a big feeling of _meh_ .

This is SHOCKING, absolutely SHOCKING, for 180 million? Just embarrassing. If this was like 20 million, i would say ok np, but ffs
Judging a show 2 episodes in is crazy these first 2 episode probably cost like 20 mil and the rest of the budget was probably spent on the later episodes there's 8 episodes of this show
King Tommen hasn’t aged well, but he did jump out of a castle
Im calling my boy Manny as The Sith!
I guess some people don’t get this but…the Jedi thought the Sith were extinct but they were wrong and the Sith were in hiding for all those years. Darkside force user does NOT equal Sith (ie The Inquisitors). Dude at the end of the first episode is probably the Acolyte (or one of them idk yet).
Can we discuss the krispy creme jedi?😂 Jedi the hutt?? There’s no way lmao 🤣 “disciplined” jedi eh? Why did that faction of jedi look homeless?? So many questions!😂

Same here. I fell asleep during both episodes.
Definitely won't be watching anyone.
According to someone who's watched 4 episodes it only gets worse anyway
@@Welsh_Dragon756 according to new Rockstars eric vaus who got to meet with the director he asked her what episode would be the most talked about and she said episode 5 so I'm assuming it'll pick up leading into episode 5
To give credit where it’s due, the rise and the formation of the Empire are not the same. The rise of the Empire was actually before TPM for Sidious intended to rule the galaxy once more as he said in ROTS. Its rise was as soon when he set his plans in motion, so by the earliest we know of TPM.
I sort of fell asleep 5 minutes into the first episode. Never had that happen watching something "Star Wars" before, so I guess that's how invested I am heh.
Episode 3 will destroy any lingering support for Star Wars by "the normies". They literally RETCON the Force! They say it is female and that the twins were "born" from 2 lesbian mothers. The one witch literally summons an essence and puts it into her witch lovers body and thus the twins are "born". You can't make this shit up. 😔
I know, i heard about this too. I am so excited for the downfall of disney star wars. It must get worse before it gets better
Isnt dat similar to how anakin was "created"
Force conception is already established in universe.
And regarding the prophecy.
That seems like it could work, because we only have allusions to the prophecy and if you have other potentials you better be certain you pick the right one or else!
If being conceived by the force is part of the criteria I can see it working, as the council didn't seem super surprised when Qui Gon brings up the possibility
Almost like maybe they've seen it before but not been convinced.
😂
The stupid thing about “the force is female” is just trying to gender a universe force.
Just as dumb as Christians thinking “the force” is male.
My God!!!! It was so terrible! The best scene was “Trinity’s” cameo….and now she’s dead. It was stale, boring, and NOT Star Wars!
The problem was she died in such a LAME way that took away any possible coolness from the scene. Both the Jedi masters this 90 lb girl attacks all outclass her by leagues yet allow themselves to be killed in dumb ways.
It was neither stale nor boring, but it was contrived.

It's going to get much much worse, you'll see. Worst writing since RoP.

If Obi was half this show's budget, why does Obi look so much better?
Exactly 💯
saying kenobi looks better is crazy
At least Acolyte could afford camera stabilizers

Obi wan does not look better at all lmao
Can you guys make Dagan geras saber on ur website with the crystal chamber?
First thing I noticed in Ep 2 was my guy using binoculars while being right next to them practically, you'd at least it would be track body heat so in the force push he would track Mei. But whilst going through watching the break down I couldn't stop laughing for the Big Boy Mall Cop/Guardian looks like the son of Fat Mace
I turned this show on exactly 4 times and couldn't finish it. It didn't keep me invested. Finally on the 5th try when I got home from work and was dead tired I was able to get through the first 2 episodes. I just hope this show gets exciting soon.
The whole "The Jedi live in a dream" monologue was honestly pretty cool to hear. Always been into the darkside mindset, philosophies, etc and how they vary from character to character.
You have victim mentality
I'm interested to see what's going on with that, if this is the Sith or something else?
Or will the council do what they did to Qui Gon,
Qui Gon
So I like definitely fought a Sith on Tatooine,
Council
Eeh did you? Were pretty awesome I don't think we would have missed something like that.
I like how everyone’s haircut is from modern day Earth, and not so much from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. To be quite fair though…the haircuts in the original Star Wars were pretty current-day at that time.
The haircuts were weird as fuck. What are you on about?

I find it very interesting that Leslie Headland last year talked about Rian Johnson and what he was trying to explore and do in his TLJ movie. We all know how we feel about that, but I just find it interesting Leslie never mentions Ron Howard or Gareth Edwards, not even Jon Favreau and his Mandalorian; no she specifically mentions "Ruin Johnson"; this tells me Kathy Kennedy was focused on Leslie and her "Acolyte" story specifically being more subversive and especially "Divisive" starwars material.
"even though portraying the fallibility of the Jedi was met with some serious backlash after "The Last Jedi" debuted, Headland shares that Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy wasn't afraid for the showrunner to tap that theme again for the streaming series.
"I think when you think you're going to tell the story about bad guys, and the Jedi might be the antagonist to those Jedi, I think that makes people nervous. But it didn't make Kathy [Kathleen Kennedy] nervous," Headland added. "And I will say that in that room, when I pitched her, it was probably one of the most exciting things because it felt like a conversation, and less like I was up for a job. It felt much more like, 'Okay, but what are you going to do about this? And what are you going to do about that?' And so I was able to fold in what I know about Star Wars, and what I love about Star Wars, into what she's always pushing for, which is, 'What's the emotional throughline?'"
So here it's obvious Kathy Kennedy definitely wants to keep focus on that samekind of "Divisiveness" that she got Rian to focus on with his movie. Now think back to "Fight Club" when looking at these two characters - Mae & Osha, IF one of them is somekind of made up thing, let's think more interms of Starwars, not so much the idea that one of these characters could be suffering from somekind of mental illness. But what if one of the things Headland has drawn from Rian's own ideas is somekind of - FORCE PROJECTION !?!!?
Leslie seems very interested in ALL-FEMALE "Witch covens". She said she shoved Ursula and Maleficent, all those "Witch" characters she grew up with. It seems obvious Headland is channelling this in her Acolyte show with the witch coven led by that actress - "Jodie Turner-Smith". What's her character's big line in this show? "This is about Power and Who gets to use it." Could this witch coven have the ability or - "power" of their own through the force to conjure up their own kind of "Force Projection" ??
What if it is they who are manipulating not just the Jedi, but Osha/Mae??
Then we have to get into the mysterious Anime mask-wearing, Sith looking figure carrying that red lightsaber; because that villain also factors into this too. Watch the trailer again, look very closely at that clip where the figure catches their red lightsaber. The hand does look quite Feminine. Even the stature of the figure looks rather slim, and Leslie Headland's wife she said has not one but TWO DIFFERENT roles they play here.
One is the green, bald-headed alien woman known as Vernastra Rwoh from the HR books. The other we have yet to see. Could it be that Headland's wife is also playing the villain figure in that mask?
Also take a good look at that metal mask, it seems to have a big smiling mouth, with many patterns of teeth, hence why I said it looked more like something off of a Anime. A interesting figure no doubt, but who or what does that mask remind you of?? A friend of mine on here called Lara, pointed out that mask is very reminiscent of the "Legends" villain - *Abeloth*.
Abeloth would also corrupt figures, turning their eyes black, now although that was only in the legends material. It has been said that Leslie Headland has supposedly been borrowing something from the EU lore. One already evident detail you'll have noticed in clips is the Vernastra woman having a "Lightsaber Whip". Its entirely possibly that shadowy figure could be Abeloth; ofwhich the witch coven could possibly follow or be in league with.
Sorry for my long essay but it's important to try and get into the minds of these showrunners, Not in order to agree with them, but to Learn and understand whatever their stories and ideas may actually be. Leslie Headland says growing up she was always into the "Villains" and saw herself as one of them. Villains in stories don't always see what they do as *Bad*, because of how their mind works, they very often truly believe what they're doing is inherently *Good*, when it reality it's Not.
Perhaps this is how Leslie has approached the witch coven in her Acolyte story, when put in comparison to the JEDI. The Jedi were NOT BAD. They were just "Flawed" there's a difference.
I’m still figuring out why she was trying to swipe Master Indara’s lightsaber multiple times throughout their fight, only to leave it on the floor in that cantina after she defeated the Jedi Master. Kinda surprised she didn’t collect it to prove to her master that she was successful..
could stop a steel dagger, cant sense one behind someones back
within the first 10 minutes i gave up all hope for it
Yeah I saw the dagger behind her back and was like cmon man this jedi master can't sense the other dagger, or does it imply the jedi are so hopelessly altruistic that she decides to stop the dagger from hitting the innocent and sacrifices herself in the process. Still you think a jedi master with a Saber could mop the floor with a half trained kid.
Didn’t the Phantom Menace explain the sith hadn’t been around for years before maul?
The Acolyte takes 100 years before the events of Phantom Menace. I don't know how the series is going to end with the Jedi not knowing who attacked them. This show is clearly a mistake.
@@briansmith2739 I thought the same thing! I personally don’t mind the story so far, but I hate the disregard for canon material.

The story reminds me a lot of KOTOR 2.Primarily, how the plot is centered on tracking down four masters who were all tied to a tragic event on a planet.
Kill a Jedi with a pocket knife😮
She got killed because the jedi showed compassion and saved the bartender. It broke her focus. Its no different than how Darth vader got his red lightsaber by distracting a jedi.

@@The_Reality_Filter I mean Yoda is a literal grandmaster and still got distracted by Dooku when he dropped a pillar on Anakin and Obi Wan. It’s whatever George Lucas or the writers want it to be 😂
@@CaptainRex96 dude who wouldn't be distracted by a full on pillar but a throwing knife? How many times would a Jedi have deflected something as slow(approx 30 mph) as a knife that's been thrown. - Evil Twin kills Jedi
- Jedi council learn of this
- Council send out reps to bar to get description and pick up witness
- Witness describes killer and reps know exactly who it is and where she is
- Reps go to ship and confront "killer" (This presumably all happened in the same neighborhood, cause they move round fast)
- Reps ask "killer" where she was the night before (because night is the same time across the galaxy)
- "killer" has no alibi and witness confirms it was her, so the police, sorry Jedi to take her in
- Reps and Jedi "killer" all go back to the Jedi council but they don't go together because it's best to not keep your eyes on a "killer"
- Prison ship crashes "killer" has vision of lost sister and realizes that she's alive and could totally be the actual killer they're looking for
- With a reason to present potential evidence and free herself, she instead runs away when they arrive
- Master Jedi stated that he saw the evil twin die so the killer must be the one they captured
- Captured "killer" meets Master Jedi after pointless chase and tells her evil twin was actually the killer
- Master Jedi states that he believes her because, um, oh f**k it I give up
