Great to see the 170 working. I am close to putting the motor back in my 170. I am glad you did your series of videos on your 170. They have been helpful to me in my repairs.
Pete, that was some excellent video editing Of you laying those round bells out in 2 rows side by side. Exceedingly, well done, my friend. I hope you and your wife enjoy your vacation. Come back safe. God bless the two of you. 🙂🙏🙂
Thanks for the update Pete, looks like the 170 is doing a great job. I hope you guys have a great vacation and hopefully wherever you are going it won’t be too hot 🥵
Have fun on your vacation Pete, You guys deserve it ! Sunday I helped Jacob bale some hay, No rain they say till after 6pm and at 3pm we got soaked ! LOL Never fails ! Bandit
What on earth did you use to cut this patch ???? Two foot long stems in the field after cutting it ???? Might consider taking the bales off.........the recutting it again ! Not joking !
@@farmerpete As an old dairy farmer... milked cows for 45 years......Im familiar with most crops of hay ..oats.....sorghum sedan grass ..switch grass.......and any other things a farm can grow. Sickle mower ( with the wind row bars/ cradle ) ..hay bine (New Holland 489.. 90% of the farmers forgot to take the shims out of between the rolls........making it a sickle mower " yet " ) and a disc bine. Wind and hail tattered hay...... but it is true.....sometimes double cutting is warranted .

I'm glad you found the videos helpful. The 170 is a mighty handy tractor.

Thanks Bandit! I did watch a shower slide off just to the west of me while baling one day. My luck held though.
Looks good - have a great vacation…👍
Thank you!
Thanks Pete. Have a good time on your vacation.
Thank you!
At first I thought you were putting bales side by side so you could pick up two- I was waiting for a wheelie LOL Have a good vacation!!
That would have produced a wheelie all right! Thanks Chris!
The IH weight looks just like the one I had on the front of my 180, worked fine.
Enjoy your vacation 👍
Thanks! The 170 is a little light in the front for this job without it.
Love the 170 working. The elevator weight was a good solution. Look forward to your combining oats video.
Thanks! She's a bit light in front for this job without the extra weight.

It's one of those things you can do after you quit milking cows :)
