That senior spending 95% of her money on housing just breaks my heart
sounds like she didn't plan for retirement
Thats a miracle. She should be spending 100%
What breaks my heart is the system that causes ppl to liv eon edge
@@vander9678 So what? Personally, I don't think bad financial planning (could have been a financial emergency too) makes someone deserving of poverty.
@@vander9678 So privileged of you to say that. You don’t know everyone’s story.
This woman is a saint. In a world where people are so greedy this is so refreshing
But she needs to learn dead dead bodies aka meat only keeps you dumbed down and stupid, and sick meaning higher medical bills and poor quality of life.
Not a saint I’m sure like the rest of us but just a genuine kind and thoughtful person
@MadgeMackles talking about taking a comment too literal, they didn't mean an actual Saint
@@Da1n_0nly it takes a real intellect to understand my comment, sorry you didn’t get it.
If she were a saint she wouldn't have the image of a whore in the front of her store.
Galatians 6:7
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Allow farmers to sell directly to the public. Lift the "supply management" laws.
Old people who thinks theyre crazy outlaw gangsters runs the milk and farmers management. They dont got the balls to pull the trigger but they sure act like theyre cartel bosses 😂 theyre just lucky the farmers arent gangsters themselves or theyd take over management like the gangs do
Canadian Dairy Comission
We have that in the US and it don’t help much
that would just make all the major corporate cattle farms etc undercut the mom and pop ranchers and drive them out of business
@@youtubeuser206 Think about your statement for a little while.
This woman gets it. Money and greed isn’t everything. There is no need for fancy cars, house, boats, jewelry, or any more accessories. We need to prioritize our community
Or investors demanding a higher return - which seems to me is what is driving inflation
Put all the big grocers to shame! 👍
They know no shame , they could care less if you starve .
Like Weston...
@@matzrat5006 The sad truth.
They avoid most of the prices in this segment, but the few that I'm seeing are greatly over priced from the 'big box stores'
Notice all her help is volunteer, not paid employees getting a wage, benefits, health insurance, etc.
We need more people like this!
it starts from you!
Or an economy that doesn't cause this...?
She need to make sure one of the bigger box store will not force them or take over her business to protect their business. One can become two can become three and it keeps going unless they control.
It's a nice idea. Note that her help is volunteer, she does't pay them wages or benefits, it's free gratis help, unlike stores where people want a 'living wage' along with paid days off, health care and other benefits.
@@eckankar7756 i hope this is satir 😭😭😭😭
She said it best “ if I can give meat for these prices , why can’t the big box stores”. Support your local Champions!
She does everything in her power to rescue people from sleeping on a concrete street and eating from a garbage. That's pure saint. God bless this lady.
Amen
She is an angel.
I wish all Grocery stores were like this one , This store is a great example of what prices should be.
Note she sells one item and all of her help are volunteers not paid employees getting benefits or health insurance.
@@MrDisneyCollector Not to mention multiple big stores (lower rent, electric and maintenance bills).
but there would be many people unemployed if there were.
@@einat1622yes but the big stores get more costumers and millions of dollars a year.
@@tacobell1299 millions of dollars a year but a million more customers. like a dollar off per customer. hmm don't think that's gonna work.
This lady is a what humanity needs. I wish her and her team all the best!
Brigida is amazing! An absolutely wonderful human being!
People like this give me hope. Pure selfless acts of kindness to her fellow human beings.
Hope begins with you.
"Don't hope for more people like her, be her."
Wow. Shes amazing. No excuse for these big box stores
We need more people like her in the world.
God bless this women and I sincerely mean that. This type of store is desperately needed within the Northern BC area.
And all over Canada.
Thats tge problem with big corporations, they demand annual growth and increase in profits, where your old school mom and pop stores just needed to have a living wage, unlimited growth is insane and is demanded by ALL big corporations
The bigger the store more employees are needed and have to pay employees, more bills etc. My grandma used to run a grocery and my dad says the smaller the store it is easier to run and sell cheap while making a suitable profit.
What a loving, caring woman. We need more people like her who will give so much despite having hard times herself. Thank you Brigida for all that you do.❤
Yes, this is what we need.Hopefully people will donate to her so she can keep doing what shes doing.
What else can I say ...an amazing person with a heart of gold.
If I'm shopping there and saving $50 per visit versus other stores, I'm tipping $5 every visit minimum . Because that's affordable and I hope everyone that can pitch in $1-$20 here and there are to help this running and helping seniors ! Amazing ! This is volunterrwork done right !!
But you're not shopping there
I wish our government can see this and help the bigger stores to follow😢 Feeding the people is more important than sending weapons oversea, times are hard.
@dodobird Compassion isn't a zero-sum game. There are enough resources in Canada to help people buy groceries AND stand by Ukraine against the pitiless madman destroying their entire country. If you want to put it in terms of self-interest, Ukraine is the bread basket of Europe like our prairies are here. Helping Ukraine will prevent famine and hardship in all the places that depend upon them. Weapons now is cheaper than famine aid later.
There is enough to go around. ❤
@@gmkbelanger certainly there is more than enough to go around, but the brass at the top are the most insecure megalomaniacs hoarding it all for themselves while the masses suffer and struggle to survive daily.
America the great enabler.
To the point we are codependent and weak.
America. Played its citizens for the money grab, and now being played by other countries.
And brought to poverty.
America the great set up.
Rest in peace we are done. Over and out.
This a wonderful service to the community. The world needs more people and places like this ❤❤
We need more ppls like her . What a angel ❤
True empathy ❤
🥰 I love this lady and her volunteers...Amazing! Keep at it you're all genuinely kind souls ❤
Bless this woman. Such kindness and heart. ❤️💕
You're a hero, we need more people like you. Thank you.
There needs to be more people like Brigida in this world! 🥺💕
These are the true champions of our society, not these politicians.
This is what it's all about. I love your Model and hope it catches on.
What a wonderful & generous person... I hope she also finds her happiness in life after her hardships....
Brigida and her volunteers are true hero's! So much respect for all you're doing to support the community you live in.
I can't afford meat even at those prices... a package of ground beef is a luxury that I buy once every two weeks - it gets diluted massively into batches of chili and spaghetti sauce - I don't feel that I'm really deprived at all? I'm just mystified and mildly sympathetic cuz obviously these people really appreciate being able to buy and consume meat from this lady, so that is really nice of her.
C.H.A.M.P.I.O.N.
How a majority of us are 'just' hearing about and learning of this dynamic human shows how impossibly horrendous our news has gotten. (Chilliwack, BC is store location located within Fraser Valley of the Lower Mainland ...for those seeing this from elsewhere and want to donate to their seniors care packages)
Even though there's an underlining issue of how so many are struggling, this story made my day to see a community praise a good soul who is there to help them and help one another.
we need more ppl like her serving our communities across canada
Its not cheaper its affordable...... Love it
I am very cynical about human kindness. She is a true rarity. Blessed and blessings
Shame of this government, not giving affordable living for seniors, greate job , we all need to help out her and give support
Hello maam’, you are such an inspiration. Thank you for saving low income family where government cannot reciprocate the things you do. ❤
This is so wonderful, we need more people like her
Fantastic. This store needs more publicity. See what positive change even one person can make.
I love this! This is where it's at. Total boss, total top-G, she got the whole community behind her.
What a wonderful and caring human being! We need more Regina’s in the world! So caring and thoughtful. To bad the government’s of this country could not help out like Regina does. As well as the big grocery stores themselves. We need more kindness and love not division and hate! Maybe this story will give thoughts to other people how to do things differently. Where there is HOPE. ❤️🙏🏼
It's disgusting that the citizens who built this country have to struggle to get by.
We must live well below our means for our whole lives to save for retirement and buy a place to live because rent is a poverty trap
@@happycook6737 absolutely TRUE. I was a single mom hairdresser and I bought a house, saved and invested. I'm retired now and so happy I knocked myself out when I was young working so I could afford a comfortable time in life with work was no longer an option. The story of the Grasshopper and the Ants got me motivated when I was young. My coworkers laughed at me working overtime to buy a house, I wonder where they are now.
@J Vlk No, times have changed, that was my point. We had plenty of opportunity when we were young to get an affordable house yet so many didn't bother. I worked 60 hours a week for 15 years to get my house and make investments. By then the investments were making money for me. The video isn't about today, it's about retirees that never bothered to prepare for their senior years. It's not just about you, you, you, you, you, you.
Brigida is what we say an untold hero, she does what she can whithout making the big buck. She's able to make a living without gouging peoples pockets. I wish Canada had more stores like her. Brava to her and her helpers 💯🖐👌👍👏👏👏👏👏👏🙏💕🌹🌹🌹🌹
What a great warrior who learnt from her experiences and empowered herself using 💓 to help humanity; by doing God's work, blessings to her and her cause
This women is amazing. Share with us how we can donate to her seniors program!
This should be a main story for the media; those big stores have no shame or conscience!
She's a true definition of an amazing person. God bless you and many blessings coming your way. This story made my day! ❤
I think that this is an awesome idea. We need A LOT more of this. That one older woman, tho. The one whose pension goes 95% to rent. I played that part twice to make sure that I heard her correctly. That's insane! 😱
what a generous lady
❤️i respect her so much for what shes doing
this woman is amazing
She's wonderful 😊
The world needs more people like this woman💓
This is community. The world needs more people like this woman.
You know times are rough when even the firefighters are shopping at budget grocery stores
Canadian firefighters make good money.
@Sabrina Belladonna and that's why you'll never get hired as a firefighter lol.
Thank you for giving people a chance to afford the food they deserve! You are an inspiration.
Such a wonderful woman
It would be amazing to have this in the USA as well. She's an incredible woman. When God pulls us down that far, sometimes it's so we can get up and find a solution and help or defend others in the same situation. Thank you, Briggita #Salute! ✨🕊stay blessed ✨
Truly amazing women. This shows us just how much the big box stores gouge us. (Just wish her shoppers would take re usable bags to save her money )
I live with my mother and sister but recently we become renovicted at a trailer park in Surrey; I worry where we will live in the future daily. I try to help my senior mother afew days a week with supper (food) plus my other sister helped with Cloverdale Community Kitchen.
It is too bad there is no Tydel Foods out in Surrey with more affordable meat prices; way out in Chilliwack. I usually goto Canadian Superstore and Dollorama (have sometimes good canned fish at ok price but even that went up abit). Thanks for sharing your story and nice to know to is some love in the world.
There was actually a small building on Broadway that sold affordable for decades. very quietly. wasn't open al the time. those places have been around, they just didn't get noticed outside the comm.
Brigid, you are an angel on earth! Your compassion and love inspire me so much. I am in the U.S.A. and food prices here, as well as the cost of living, have skyrocketed. You know what it's like to go without. So do I. I pray that you and your business and the people you help are blessed beyond measure!
God bless that lady. Inspiring
God bless this woman .
Who made this happen
Bigger box stores hire more people, create jobs, have shareholder return on stocks, pay taxes and pay for staff benefits and above all sponsor ads and media ads, benefitting overall economy. But you are brave enough to help poor people. I admire your help to society.
99% of the jobs the biggest box stores give are terrible min wage jobs and also they waste tremendous amounts of food because are capitalism system is completely broken and it’s considered a liability to give food away that is about to expire so they just throw in trash
This woman is a true hero!
well said.
What a lovely lady, hopefully she influences “influencers” to do the same
I can't stop watching this!!! .God bless ❤❤❤❤❤
She is a hero❤
Come to America there's so many on a budget, children, homeless, elderly I like your store I wish we had that here some one like you that has a heart Thank you for what you do , God Bless
God bless her!
You are a wonderful lady, the world needs more of you.
there is a reason why big box stores charge a lot of money for food. First they have an expensive infrastructure (including logistics/supply chain), for instance Walmart has the 2nd largest data center infrastructure (the Pentagon has the largest), They have executives and legal departments that make huge salaries/bonus compensation, third they have stock holders and they need to drive up profits/cut costs as a duty to their stock holders. Independent shops, don't have all these added operational/salary costs. I say bring back more independent stores, I was sad when a lot of the local shops closed in my town (I tried to support them as much as possible).
Big box stores also have a massive amount of consumers and purchases a day compared to small shops. They would be fine with a similar profit margin.
I just started watching your channel tonight. I'm living in Ohio. There is so much poverty and homelessness surrounding this small town alone. It would be a miracle to see something as beautiful as what your doing in your community to happen here. It's a crying out everyday shame here and all over America. Where does it end? Everything goes up but the income to barely survive.
God Bless You Mam 🙏
Love this!
Brigida, You must be an angel 😇🙏💞
Such an unsung hero, the world needs more people like you …
Thank You 😊 ❤
Well done! Great job!
"cause a heart of gold, no it don't come cheap. And a heart of gold, is what this world will need". -Citizen soldier. Thank you, ma'am, from all those whom you have helped.
this usually never works because all that would happen is well-to-do people would just buy here and pocket their savings
i say it's only a matter of time
This beautiful lady is doing God will. May many blessings pour over her. She have giving me a wonderful thought…
Good job.
Unbelievable, that there are still store owners who can make the sacrifice. Not everyone can, and no negative thoughts for those who have to keep their prices up to maintain their establishment. But it can be so hard for so many to just afford food, and this is so inspiring. Honestly, as we get older, even the thought of growing some of our own food, which we may have done easily years ago, becomes challenging.
Be careful the gov doesn’t shut her down!.
Awesome to be so giving to your community! Many blessings! GO TYDEL FOODS!!
Beautiful
That man saying "I wish there was more Reginas in the world," is spot on. Just by her existing though, she's sharing her soul with the world, and you can guarantee she'll leave a little bit behind with each person she helps! Regina, you're a hero.
Masha Allah
Tell this lady I love her.
Major grocery chains complain their profit margin is razor thin (4%) as it is.
This is an AMZING person!! We need more people like her!!!
That's because big grocery stores are too busy making billions of dollars in profit
Brigida definitely has a heart of gold and a love for her community to be doing this. Nice to see someone give back and helping out others less fortunate than she is, especially after she was helped years ago when she was homeless. I only hope that other like minded people who have the means to open up a store like this take inspiration from this story to do the same in their own communities.
That's what being human is about helping when and where you can selflessness.
Wow compassion out the wazoo. They re fabu
That lady is an hero, I hope she can get the help she need to run the shop
Im gonna say it but you DONT need meat to survive. If youre low income you dont need meat.
