I know this is old - but it is quite helpful! Might want to mention that this should only be done with stock points and not electronic (like pertronix) distributors.
Sorry but Im using an Ignitor electronic points set up (Pertronix) in a Rover P5 on a 25D6 distributor and the Tacho works fine.
interesting videos....but annoyng camera out of focus and messy workbench, not sure why you wouldn't use a clean bench for your videos?

Watch out...indexing should be done from the outset. Good luck.
why not just reverse the wires on the outside of tach
