Hi Sarah i am a beginner and purchased a Innovis 800e in December last year, I have just followed your video and downloaded some free patterns. How do i know if they will fit on my machine is it just download onto a USB and then plug into my machine or do you need a programme i just download and then realised this. Also do you have videos for new beginners on you tube and do you have a facebook page for embroidery beginners? Thank you finally found someone who explains everything

Hi Sarah, you finally persuaded me whilst you were on C&C to purchase the Brother Embroidery machine. Can i please ask, all the demos have been on peices of material, but if i wanted to embroider on i.e. t-shirts, cushion covers ect - what do i have to do so it doesnt embroider through both layers. I know its probably a silly question but i am a new sewist and feel quite lost. Thanks in advance.
Hoop up with your t-shirt etc layer and just tuck the rest of the t-shirt out of the way. Don't put both layers in the hoop together. I use pegs or wonder clips to keep the edges out of the way.

Hi Sarah, when you where on c and c with the brother v7, I asked the question in an email asking if I could download a normal picture like my dog and load it into the v7 I have bought. and I was told by the sales person before I bought it that I could download a picture and make a pes file on the machine. I can not see any where to do this. can you help please. thanks
Hello Sarah, I am having trouble with getting my se625 machine pulling up (reconizing) any of my images that I have saved on the thumb drive. Would you by chance have any suggestions? The service dept. at brothers was not able to figure out the issue.
Darrelllena Payne hi. I am afraid I don't know this machine, and it looks like it is only available in the US. In the UK brother give 3 years support and I'm assuming that it is the same in the US. Therefore I would expect them to be more helpful. Are the files the correct format? I assume they checked that? Are the files actually on the USB? It might seem a silly question but I did have a lady try with an empty usb stick.
Sarah Payne Quilter Thank you Sarah, I was able to get it figured by myself but it took me several hours. My problem now is getting my scan n cut to sync with my embroidery machine. Finding out that I'm going to have to get a pe design software. I greatly appreciate your help.
You should only need PE design if you want to create your own designs. if your chosen design has both cut data for the scan n cut, and pes data for the sewing machine, it should just be a matter of plugging your usb into the machines. Hi Sarah I bought the brother innovis 1250 it's been going ok except I just can't work out the usb. I bought a usb stick with hundreds of patterns on. I know you can't out this nto the machine so I bought a 1 GB new empty memory stick. I have downloaded a pattern onto it off the computer but when I put it nto the machine nothing happens. Do you think you could give me any advice or show what happens when you put the usb into the machine and how you do it please. It's so frustrating I have spent many hours trying to get it to work. sheila danks a USB is simply a separate folder on your PC. Plug it in to the USB slot on your computer (if you have 2 slots you can simply copy from one to the other. If not, create a new folder on your computer and copy from the first USB to the folder and then plug in the new USB and copy from the folder on to the new USB.) To copy, highlight the files and you can the right click and select copy or use the Ctrl + C buttons, then go to the new USB and paste. You could also drag and drop the files. I would just make sure you copy and not move the files just in case. Then you always have the original. Hope that helps.

whenever i click on download my laptop automatically saves it to ms Word, the box that came up on the video doesn`t pop up on my laptop, any idea what i can do as i can`t download any patterns, all i can do is use the pre loaded patterns with my machine, help please
Hi - Brother do an embroidery software package called PE Design to allow you to design your own patterns. I haven't used it but I hear great things about it.
