The Mk11 gun is what you see on USN BBs with the 14"/50 guns. The North Carolina--our Florida--with 14" guns was to have a gun only known as 14"/50 MkB. The gun was designed, but never fully developed since the WNT escalation clause was invoked and then it was 16" or bust. This gun would have been more powerful than the Mk11 gun, but there are no numbers since it was never built. What WG has put in the game is anyone's guess, but the Florida hits hard, no question. The stat page shows the Mk11 gun and that gun throws a 1500lbs AP shell at 2700fps with 20.1" of penetration at 10k yards.

In wows PC, she is a very very very good ship, kite away and those guns does have a good angle while running and firing 27 knots speed 1.70 sigma with 205 vertical dispersion max dispersion with 18.56km and can set it to 21.55km using altillery plotting mod 1 and with 230 maximum vertical dispersion 51800 hp but still good ship with her tier Has dfda and this ship is no fly zone even for tier 8 cvs 12.5km concealment, park this in the middle and shotgun any broadsiding cruiser and they are gone Can carry, can print credit, good for training captain. Forget the shiny shiny shiny citadel that can delete you if receiving a full broadside 406mm but still a very good ship and thanks to WG they didn't make this as a heavy cruiser like Illinois "You see a carrier, shoot a carrier" very true lmao no matter what is in your front pray to RNG gods those last salvo before you go down will dev strike the carrier 😂
I am sure WeeGee did not want Florida to be more powerful than North Carolina; that's why they gave her a low maximum ap she'll damage. If the premium was more powerful than the tech tree version, no one would have grinded the line to get Carolina.
@spartan I'm curious on your thoughts with the t7 American bbs. Do you think the Iowa is still worth playing, or is it dead when compared to the Alabama/Massachusetts/Georgia/Missouri(i believe thats a t7)?
Mass is a good American brawler with its secondaries. The Iowa is still accuracy king. I just got the Bama and it’s fun. You can def see a difference in accuracy between it and Iowa. The Kansas should be interesting. I have yet to see anyone run a Missouri.

Overmatching is when you have a big enough gun to ignore the angle of the Armor and you punch right through. To find out how much armor your guns Overmatch you take the size of the gun in mm and divide it by 14.3 the resulting number is the thickness of armor your guns overmatch. You can also see what size guns overmatch your armor by taking the armor thickness in mm and multiplying it by 14.3 You can use this information to better your foes!
I'm sure it's probably a bug and not listed because the other 127mm are listed as AA on pc. Which ik your aware of. Lol. This ship has great guns. But absolutely no armor. To me seems like a decent ship. Also HE has a faster velocity than AP by 40 m/s. Tbh I would love to see use more HE switching between your rounds more often because both are fairly good.

Can someone explain why overmatching 33mm armour is so good? I here people talking about the Georgia not being able to overmatch what Yamato can, but what if you use Robert jaujaurd as an inspiration? Will that make Georgia wreck everything?
32mm is what most of the tier 7/legendary ships bow armor is. Which means even if they bow tank you, you can put a hurting on them. Doesn’t always but I had a Sinop try to Ram me in my New Mexico near the end of a game. He had at least 80% health and I was down to 20%. His shells ricocheted so I waited for the right angle as he turned into me and sent 6 AP round straight through the side of his bow into his citadel earning a Dev strike and winning the game. I surprise people all the time in my West Virginia since most dont realize it’s a Tier V with 16” guns so it will shred everything if bow tanking.
It’s due to the size of the guns and how the overmatching mechanic works. The Georgia has 18inch guns, Yamato has 18.1inch guns. Not a big difference but big enough lol.

I still don't understand overmatching armour. If I can penetrate 26mm armour how can that shell continue onwards and then penetrate 300mm citadels ? It doesn't make sense
Spartan idk if you know so I'll just throw it out there the Florida has battle cruiser dispersion with 1.7 sigma and the way dispersion works is that the farther you are from what your shooting the getting the dispersion
@@Vampy_VV haha, while i do have shit RNG in general in all video games (I hate games that are heavily reliant on RNG) i have played about 15 games in the florida and had 1 game where I was happy with the performance..... i still prefer my Nelson, Hood, Duke of York, KGV, N. Carolina over it any day of the week

Will WG put out a destroyer commander with a base trait “reduce torpedo reload”? Perhaps at 8% max....
Believe one of the Halloween commanders had such a skill but cut the torpedo damage in half in exchange.

What you have to is muiltiply the armor thickness by 14.4 and what ever answer you get shows you what caliber can penetrate it

Alaska is armed with 9 12 (305mm) inch guns. Florida is armed with 12 14 (356mm) inch guns.
