Pretty reasonable that the PGA TOUR knows this but were and are still too greedy with their media licensing rights. If they simply loosen their restrictions on players they would only benefit themselves and bring more eyeballs. But instead they continue to be greedy and too stubborn to evolve with the times. His new change in personality stems from the desperation for world ranking points, and his fandom puts pressure on the committee to grant the LIV tour these points. I'm not a Rory fan, but he is right to complain about the split in golf. Viewership of the majors has been down since LIV started and the PGA tour has had to boost purses to compete. Where did the PGA tour get all this money from? They had to pull from initiatives that help grow the game outside of those tour events. Philanthropy has been put on hold due to having to pay Justin Thomas a million dollars every week to finish 20th. So yeah its frustrating when these MULTIMILLIONAIRE athletes complain about not having enough money.
