I am a product manager so I can suggest one thing please take care of it is "Dont make cruise control button touchscreened. It can lead to accidents. One physical button to switch on and off cruise control is must. rest of the features can be touchscreen wont be an issue"

I was going to write the same thing. I am a user experience designer. And the physical button feedback is very necessary for these kind of processes. Don’t go for fancy at the cost of usability.
Use of haptics can be done like to give physical button feel

I think you should be working on OEM type steering mounted controls for cars which have cruise controls in top models. Almost all cars these days have cruise control in their top model.
The dial is even more convenient than the OEM's +/- buttons.

Exactly it is fine even we dont have many features in it.. as long as it saves space and stays more convenient and fall cheap with only cruise feature.. its would be great.. there are some people who enable cruise in 2k to 3k with steering mostly on hyundai cars.. you have to compete with them as well.. so i would say make a basic on which is more pocket friendly cheaper then the current one and pricing at such a price which captures market.. once you make basic cruise available at lower price your sales will be market high..

im a nexcruise user and i feel that manual dial is better for operation but display should be just for showing what we have set for cruise speed, speed limit set and current speed etc
touch display is only required if you are going to add some features which cannot be operated using manual button dial
if we use any touch display to operate cruise then it will be a distraction whereas existing button dial system is easy to operate without looking at the dial

1. I love current dial, i like if you can make it smaller version then it will rock.
2. Can’t you add lights into the dial base. Then we don’t require light panel.

Akash ji, you should develop car Andriod/Apple car play infotmaint system which support your cruise control device and regular infotainment functions...
Secondly you should integrate light display in your current control itself... instead of two different things. It will be one device will look good and reduce cost of overall system.

In my opinion, option 3 is good alongwith a steering mounted control buttons. Long time ago, I already suggested and shared a sample image of steering mounted buttons.
Not bought the next cruise yet but had been in touch with your team and i am planning to buy one
But i believe no need of touch screen
As while driving finding buttons on touch pads are quite troublesome
Dialer is the best option
Rather make a small display for indicators light including speed limit and other feature

Rather if you are launching touch screen i will suggests not to discontinue present version..
Those who don't want touch screen version can go with manual dialer/present version of nex cruise

Till now complete 10k km and it's great to use with dail as it gets set with magnetic behind steering wheel and its easy to use without seeing it
Physical buttons for cruise is very userfrendly and safe.

Some options I think might help make it not look like an aftermarket accessory.
1. We can create a replacement of the existing touch screens available in the after market for cars without touchscreen infotainment systems. Exploring creation of such aftermarket infotainments with nexcruise might help you capture the market of lower variant cars better, depending on how many such variants these days lack cruise control as well as a touch screen. Though the combination might be rare as touch screens start with lower variants than cruise control. Tata Nexon as an exception comes with a cruise control and sunroof without a touch screen.
2. In the future you can probably think of tapping into the wider market which doesnt require a new infotainment to be installed but could be integrated with existing oem or aftermarket touchscreens as a plug-n-play add-on feature to make it even more affordable and decreasing the entry barrier.

2 inch screen is fine. Please make the controller slim and modular, not everyone wants to loose a cupholder, which is a precious real-estate in car. Overall, i think the old controller is good. Since these screens may slowdown after sometime. Its better to have tactile feel of switches when operating a device at high speeds, for important drivers attention and muscle memory. Please always sell manual controller.

Yes physical button for cruise on and off is important, for the rest I think a software application is more convenient than additional device, user can download and operate directly from infotainment system (Touch Screen) (offcourse with activation key) which will communicate with OBD port through Bluetooth.
I have decided to order one but curius about the latest version.. so in dilemma to order now or wait....😅😅

This is a huge step in the wrong direction. Unless the future feature add ons require a touchscreen I don’t see any real reason to remove physical buttons. This just makes operating the device much more difficult and distracting while driving. Even if you need a screen for the future features I hope that you still offer the current model along side the future one. The current controller is very straight forward and easy to use with physical buttons. The only improvement that I can think of is to put lights in the module to indicate whether something is active and if possible, availability of adaptive cruise control with lane centring system through a camera and radar. However I do understand that will require changing the abs modules and the whole steering column. So it won’t be self installable and quite expensive.
Option 3 is better but use option 4 for display placement so no windscreen is blocked
You guys can do one thing, like, touchscreen can be a separate, and a separate physical buttons for cruise at an accessible area.
Hi sir I have already posted in the form few days back not sure if Aha team have checked my suggestion so I would like to share my inputs here as well please come up with the rectangular shape(4.5 inch) that have navigation and music player feature as well most people don't have top model and canvas infotaiment is missing. Aside from nexcruise update, the mentioned feature can be a game changer for nexcruise product. I will definitely buy this product once these featues are unlocked. I have been following Aha since long. Well my opinion would be to stay physical. There is a reason most of the car manufacturers have stayed physical in this regard.
Best UPGRADE would be to work on steering controls only. I know there are n number of versions of car with different steering wheels, thats what needs to be cracked. Either make it car and make specific or universal. That takes more R&D but that is best and ideal. Trust me if thats cracked your sales will shoot up like anything since you already have the technology.
If you still wish to go for any of the described options. Then option 2 is optimum and if things turn around to 3/4 then Include dashcam and ADAS then only extra screen makes sense.

You are sensing speed, RPM from OBD, so by taking care of emergency lights a 5 inch display is sufficient OVER CONSOLE with speed and RPM display.
And you could also use space of rear view mirror spot with wide rear view camera and 10to12inch horizontal display over mirror with informations over there while a rotating knob at handrest or near window buttons.
Really your actions regarding work is matchless, I have tata altroz xms , not in favour of touch screen model.
Manual operating is better than touch screen..sometimes touch screen may respond with delay..it is happening in our android mobiles..
Although I do not own this device, but I strongly feel the touch screen would not be very user friendly. If I ever buy this product I will prefer to choose your 1st generation device, the dial seems very handy than the newer one, you can add light indicators in the existing device. Hope you will keep both the options available for your customers.

But it is like extras that is of no good
In that case an infotainment screen is best option.
I sujest to use a head up display like digital screen on dashboard showing real speed ,cruise control on or off,set speed ,echo on off,sport on off,ect.while driving driver can easely see what is happning.
Good video. I think the third option with a magnetic mount is best. It can work as both status and controlling. I hope it comes with battery. Otherwise, usb 3 connection should be there.

Touch screen is not suggestable... but can think Google assistance control will be good.. you can give instructions and dual function as touch can be good as a combination. But not touch only..
7 inch display is best solution. Integrated with android entertainment system. Controls on voice commands.

The manual model is more practical because after using it for a while one can use it by engaging the cruise control with the fingertips without looking at it. So one won't get distracted while driving. Specially for 50+ years of age when the reflex action starts to decrease. This is my first hand experience while using the device

Make 4.5 screen wireless something mobile type some thing look like iPhone shape iPhone 5 series may be it will be easy to carry in the car and also lot of aftermarket accessories are they for mobile to fix the phone in the car and will enhance the atheistic in the car and will improve your sales too and it will become trending thing
Appreciated. However, I really liked the old dial version until it comes on the stearing mount. Even then Touch screen is bad Idea for cruise control. Sorry don't feel bad.

Touchscreen device near windshield gonna heat up through sunlight, means poor performance in long run plus poor battery life
Touch screens are distracting and can distract while driving....
This is not approved by authories, if you modify ur car u would be driving a unapproved vehicle and in case of any miss happening insurance company can deny ur claim and authories will book u for driving illegal vehicle , not sure why without approval he is selling this, it's not minor thing it major change in the car
Please work on OEM cruise control unit . Do something like OEM like fitting .
Change the steering cover where buttons actually mounted and fit this device under the cover like OEM if possible .
