Hello from the UK. I just came across your channel yesterday. I love how your children are unfazed with the different environment and culture and also your sense of adventure as a family. Many of our kids who are second or third generation living in western countries are left traumatised after a visit to our motherland lols. We usually take them back home to toughen them up and also to help them develop a better character. Thanks for sharing your experience but it's really making me feel homesick. Anyway stay safe and enjoy the rest of the trip.
Greetings from Germany! I am quite surprised and pleased to see how you guys are exploring the local by being a local. And you brought your whole family with you! What an amazing experience your kids are having. Looking forward to seeing more videos from you, exploring another country, another culture!
Already I have seen your all videos in 1 day... And i am gona big big big fan of you...if afsent any member of your family then i can't feed gool of your video...your big fan from Dhaka,Faridpur..🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩
@@AwaywiththeSteiners This is not the Ship Breaking yards. The Ship Breaking yards are in Chittagong .. this is where the small ferries or the boats like the ones you were boarded on your way to Barisal been built for the domestic consumption.
0:55 correction Its not Supreme Court! Its a local court for Dhaka metropolitan Area.there is two court building ib there. One is called Dhaka Chief metropolitan magistrate court and other is Dhaka chief Judicial Magistrate Court.
I'm watching your videos for a week and gradually I'm falling love to your videos. Really love how a family is enjoying the taste of Bangladesh 🇧🇩. Harry and Oscar are very lovely. Mr. Jafor is very kind. Hoping to see you again in Bangladesh with another amazing contents. Love❤💚
In 1974 I was a student at Dhaka college near NewMarket. Only once visited even that time the Sadarghat. Later 2 years lived in Bangladesh, but never visited old Dhaka anymore due to dirty and chaotic transport. Only one time visited a relative's house, but not deep in the old Dhaka. but I see many foreigners visits to see how the people there living and passing their whole lives there.
This is amazing . you know this area i more then 400 years old . lots lots history here . People from all over came for trade . if you can explore bravely this area ur champ .
You're the best traveler I've ever met. Harry and Oscar mingled with the people of our country. I didn't think you were anyone else. Hopefully you will come to Bangladesh again. And you will travel to North Bengal of Bangladesh. There are many beautiful places here too.
Please wait for a week more we have Eid ul Azha comming up , 15/17 days later . one of our largest festival .... there will be cattels market so hue and cry there so eating all a round. To get idea about Eid Ul Azha in Bangladesh you can search in RUclips.
I'm watching your video for the first time and I'm amazed. Warm greetings to you all from Rampura Banasree, Dhaka. Assalamu alaikum owa rahmatullahi owa barkatuh ❤️🇧🇩
Old Dhaka is like Calcutta! It's very vintage and everything is more traditional. It's so old that even people from the modern side of Dhaka avoid going there! It's like visiting South Auckland LOL
I’m loving your vlogs a lot 👍🏽 I have to say unfortunately there is a stereotype from South Asians of Europeans or Westerners only visiting and filming the run down, underdeveloped and poor parts of a developing country whilst not paying much attention to the developed and more modernised parts of that country and it’s cities. I believe you are in Old Dhaka which is the old Mughal & cultural part of the city but please do feel free to check out New Dhaka where there are certain urban & suburban areas that has beautiful views, parks, restaurants, shopping malls, street foods, architecture like in Gulshan 1 & 2, Banani, Baridhara, Uttara, Hatirjheel, Eskaton, Dhanmondi, Wari, Baily Road etc.. Much love from Sylhet ❤️
In those modern parts what are they supposed to visit? Buildings, fancy restaurants, and what else? I bet they have seen even better ones in other countries. But the culture, food and those insane activities happening in the older parts of Dhaka is unique and more fascinating. Even as a Bangladeshi Old Dhaka is 1000 times more interesting to me than the places you mentioned. Of-course they might go there to have a feel of the modern parts of Dhaka city, but its the older parts that actually offers a traveler intense, raw and authentic experience that one usually craves for.
Mate I didn’t say they can’t visit Old Dhaka infact they are visiting different parts of Bangladesh which is why I said I’m loving their vlogs. They are entitled to visit whatever side they want and I am entitled to share my views, my view wasn’t anything negative towards them I just said that there is a view from some South Asians people of a stereotypical western traveller ONLY filming the run down areas and not showing a balanced view of the country which others who don’t know much about that particular could see both sides. I was merely just recommending those areas for them to consider as those areas are also have culture and beautiful views and great for vlogging, now wether they visit those areas or not is completely upto them, no one is forcing them it’s just a suggestion from my side as I like to travel around Old Dhaka aswell as New Dhaka I like both. I’m from Sylhet which is a city more close to me obviously but I’m open minded and I travel to different parts of the country aswell as outside of the country.
We visited Dhaka 4 times and stayed in Old Dhaka and Gulshan. We preferred Old Dhaka. There are modern malls anywhere in the world. We don’t need to film that. But there isn’t the Bangladeshi hospitality like there is in Rural Bangladesh 🇧🇩
This is a special necklace made of greenstone (we call it ‘pounamu’) from New Zealand that is very common for New Zealanders to wear all over the world 😊
I think you are enjoying our country, hope to your journey will be safe. I have a question both of you, where are you from ? Do you have any relative in Bangladesh?
Why don't you guys visit modern Dhaka? I will suggest you guys to visit Bangabandhu novotheater, Gulshan 2to 1, Dhanmondi lake,Mirpur, Bashundhara shopping complex, Jamuna future park which is the largest shopping complex in Asia. Parliament house which is in the world top 10beautiful Parliament list. And there bangladesh rank is 6th. Maybe you need a travel guide because it's bangladesh and impossible to explore without living here at least a one year
