- Ok, to clear up any confusion, this is NOT "Live'r Than You'll Ever Be" recorded from the audience, the late show at The Oakland Coliseum, Nov. 9, 1969 This is a soundboard recording of that same show. This was originally recorded by Bill Graham and his people, although incomplete, it was broadcasted in 1972 on KSAN FM radio.
I usually don't put concerts I didn't attend up on my youtube, but… I haven't seen this 'source' anywhere. Also, considering this is 'soundboard' and not from the MSG shows or Altamont? …hey, it's great to hear. Видеоклипы
Superb.. Greatest thing to ever happen was the Stone getting Mick T and truly defining the way for the modern rock and roll tour …..and they still do!.
So beautiful
That just blew my freakin mind!!! I've heard "Liver than you'll ever be" a million times and this is almost completed new to me. There's so much going on on stage that was never heard on the audience tape. Unbelievable guitar solos,Bills and Charlies riffs I've never noticed! What a treasure! Thanks for posting!!!!!!!'
Agree (je connaissais déjà 😎) mais c'est excellent...
Excellent ONE ‼️☮️✌️🎶
Great to find this recording of this amazing rock concert. This era and this show was when the band were peaking out of control, which defines the very nature of rock music for ages to come.
The Good Old Days With Taylor Thank You For The Upload
Very nice, I like it, The Mick Taylor years were the best in my opinion :)
You are right!
No question. 69-74 were peak years of the Stone. 1969 was peak for live performances. Studio output was excellent till 73 or so. Not saying I didn’t like anything after as Some Girls, Black and Blue, are good records, but nothing like Let it Bleed, Exile, Beggars, etc
Freakin' Taylor in satisfaction....
Some of these performances came out down here in Brazil in a booleg called just "Live", which had a red/black cover. Not sure if it was released elsewhere.
Thank you so much love the stones
the record is pretty distorted probably based on the limits of the recording equipment, mics, etc but still a great testament of the best overall straight-up dead on balls R&R band of the 20thC.
The Rolling Stones 1969-11-09 @ Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Arena, Oakland, California, USA
one of my comments is wrong COMPARE THIS "GIMME SHELTER" to the version on LIVE R THAN YOU LL EVER B.. it has the same intro but YOU ARE RIGHT this is a soundboard here. i guess whomever recorded it off KSAN edited it also
this is great!
Nice gift for we stones fans!
Gold Stones era with Mick Taylor
No doubt the Rolling Stones Best line up with Mick Taylor playing lead. They were a true Rock n Roll Band. Taylor brought out the best of the Stones. After he left the band the Stones only had two really good albums, Some Girls and Tattoo You. cheers TyT PS the Stones even used two old outtakes from Goats Head Soup with Mick Taylor for Tattoo You, "Waiting For A Friend" and "Tops". He sued to get compensation and won.
Good!

Live'r than live'r than you'll ever be
Sounds like Keith playing lead on Gimme Shelter instead of Mick. My original bootleg, the the lead was inaudible,
Yeah that's true, I bought the bootleg in January of 70.
uyes your description is accurate
first or 2nd sshow?
I DONT THink they played the full show
31:00
This bootleg preceded ,inspired or forced, Maybe their best American release Get your YaYa's Out. A friend once pointed out that it was the best versions of their best songs. Also their best lineup. Of course the Brussels 73 boot can't be touched. The venue O-A Arena had been open less than a year eairler made for some of the better acustics at the time. That building has hosted some amazing artist including the NBA Champ GS Warrios P,L,and basketball.
I need glasses. I assumed that live'r was a board copy. I sure miss KSAN
Thanks
Always one of my favorite Arena's. Another landmark concert that happened there was Pink Floyd, May 9th,1977 and as I'm sure you all know, one of the all time greatest "Live" recording's was done that night. I know it's up on RUclips. I would tape them there 10 years later , December 3rd,1987,which is also up on RUclips.
@@kevincogan5174 I was there in 87 Waterless Floyd was fantastic both mights I saw them in 87. Waters played Prod and Cons and Radio KAOS tours 84 & 87. He was equally awesome.
@@chrisames2795 I also caught Water at the '87 Oakland Show. That was a great show. The Best Water's show I saw was at Shoreline Amphitheater,Mt.View,Ca. June 25th,2000 on the "In the Flesh" Tour.
A version of "Dogs" was played at that show that was stunning. Very Similar to the live version's they were doing on the "Animals" '77 Tour.
@@kevincogan5174 I saw him do Darkside at Shoreline ? But I saw Gilmour at the Kabuki nightclub in San Fran in 84 & Paramount in Oakland 05? The Kabuki show had a 2 drink minimum I was 18 Gin & Tonic Its a movie theater i Japan Town. Two comfortably Numbs. That Green laser light show. Bith times
