I love the E Ward system - can kit up by the amount of diamonds into the correct size of container and then sort all within the ordering system you prefer. Very versatile system. Thanks for all the videos - your joy and energy is very contagious.
Hi Kathy, I’m enjoying trying something new and the kitting up was sooooo quick 😁 thanks for commenting and have to say that working with such beautiful kits you can’t help but feel joy and I feel very fortunate to be able to share that with like minded people as yourself so thank you.
Hi Kimberly, thanks for letting me know how you kit up, I really am interested how others do as i can’t help symbol sorting as you will have seen 😁 the ABs say thank you for the compliment 😂
Hi Ditsy, it was super quick to kit up so big difference - might not be so easy if diamonds not in weight order when buying elsewhere. Will keep safe as I can seeing as though I work at a safety company 😂 Hope you can find some respite over the next couple of days 😎
Such fun, playing guess that colour along with you. I picked lemon, feeling very clever 🤣🤣 The ABs look fabulous, looking forward to the WIP and chat. Hugs 🤗
I diamond painted along with you. I never have to kit up or kit down as I have permanent storage for all my diamonds. I just work with the actual dmc numbers. Hope you have a great weekend 💙
Hi Zoe, that’s interesting - so you just add the new diamonds to your storage rather than set up a new kit? How does that work with the slight colour differences from each company? 💎
@@stonemagpie I only use Diamond Art Club so it's easiest for me to keep the diamonds in the same shade box. Even if the colours are a tiny little bit different, I just think it gives you a little more shading & dimension. I know not everyone would like doing it like that. But I've found it's the easiest and understandable way to go from one painting to the next & those older diamonds get used up before the newer ones.
@@zoea2812 ahhh yes I did that with the DPD Josephine Wall and just had to swap out the numbers not used and add in the new. It did take a while but if i’d have continued with them then it would have got easier in time. Do you not feel that you’re missing out on other glorious designs from other manufacturers though?
@@stonemagpie no because diamond art club has such a variety in their designs, that there's something there for me no matter what kind of mood I'm in to diamond paint.
I tend to go small to large. I only open one big packet at a time because there have been times when I don’t even need to use one of the big packets when there are multiples of the same color.
Hi Hobbies, ahhhh small to large is interesting. I might try that next time and usually I only open one pack at a time but with the mahooosive pots I wanted to get all the diamonds in for the first time 😁
@@stonemagpie makes sense. If you look at my ig, I just kitted up in the screw top pots and a single packet those giant packs overflowed, so I had to use 2 pots for one pack. I had 2 colors with 4 packets, 3 with 3, and 8 with 2. 51 colors, 4 abs.
New to your channel, I enjoyed your video. You believe in sharing your knowledge, so do I so here goes. Regarding the Elizabeth Ward type storage, I absolutely love them, I have five. First tip, use the flat end of your tweezers ( not the pointy end😊) to open your tubs, your nails will appreciate it. When kitting up, I recommend starting with the smallest amount of diamonds, you’ll be surprised how much the smallest tubs hold. One of the great things about this system is they are modular. Arrange them exactly the way you want them, size doesn’t matter, they will probably fit, if not stand one or two of the larger ones vertically. Should make room for others. If you enjoy them I recommend getting two more, one just like what you have and a second with with all small tub’s, I think it’s a 78 count. I mix and match sizes accordingly to the canvas I’m doing. Any empties that don’t fit back in the trays I put them in a big baggie. I have five sets. I have other types of storage but these are my faves. Blessings, Debra
Hi Debra, welcome to my channel, so pleased you found us. Thank you for sharing such great advice in detail, I love that and will definitely try the tweezer trick 😀 I also have the set with the smaller tubs - I didn't use it for this kit as I had different plans for that set - so I will see about starting smallest amount first next time and see if it works better for me. I love to know what others are working on so what is your WIP at the moment?
IMO I wouldn’t say that there is a right or wrong way of kitting up. It’s all in what you prefer to do, do what makes you happy. I’ve just bought this canvas, it arrived this morning :)
Hi Bella - ahhh I get by symbol but colour 😏 how do you know whether a orangey-red is orange or red oooorrrrrr a blue green is blue or green? I think it would make me completely second guess myself 🤣
@@stonemagpie I do without blue-green or these intermediate tones. either it is blue and there is light and dark blue, or it is green. I have the tictac cans and that in excess.

Those AB’s are gorgeous. Yes, I knitt up like you but I don’t put my drills in order like that, however they are is how I use them. TFS!!

You can also pull off the lids if they annoy you when filling up.
Hi, thanks. I found this storage so much quicker to kit up anyway but may well try that next time 😀

Do you know where I can find a color chart very similar to that one?
Hi Bella - I found this free online a couple of years ago, not sure which site now. Good luck finding it if you have a search 🍀
