    I made this pattern pretty much in the same yarn color in #6 Barnat yarn as shown in the picture and it turned out perfect. I did a bit different on the border I used a cream. My niece absolutely loves it and said Her baby boy Jackson won't sleep as good if he doesn't have it.

    +This is beautiful, I did a sample following Mikey and it was OK. I went back and did another one using the written pattern and for me that was easier. It did help to have the video to go back to.

      Written pattern is much easier to follow. The tutorial is just intended to lend a hand when necessary. most people don't use the tutorial for more than just a few minutes. :D

    There are mistakes on the written pattern: row 7- should be asterisk just before *1 double in next skipped sc 3 rows below. Next is row 8:1sc in each of next 5 sts. Rep from. Row 9: 1sc in ea of next 5 sts. End with 4 sc. The chart is correct

    • @hmeirify
      @hmeirify Год назад

    Mikey or anyone else with experience, wondering what you think about this type of mosaic work vs the other method of only working on right side and yarn is cut at the end of every row and I don’t believe there are any chain spaces either. Pros? Cons? Thanks for your thoughts. 😀

    • @AnonymousAmyMakes
      @AnonymousAmyMakes 4 года назад +2

      I've never tried this method but I really like the other method a lot! And with the special border that can enclose all of the yarn tails....its so simple!! I would like to try this way just to see how I like it.

  • @michellemunn7959

    Would love this but would it be possible to use a regular four weight as I find velvet so hard to work with! Or a size four baby yarn

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  4 года назад +8

      Yes... you can sub really easily to a 4 ply worsted #4 using 5 mm / H Hook. :D

    Love this pattern ! I think row 5 of the mosaic repeat is not correct in the written pattern. I watched here and it matches up but the written is unclear that there are 3 dcs across with only 2 on each end....anyone else find this to be true ?

  • @vickyfereza7385

    With these mosaic patterns, can you use a pattern that has a teddy bear or something like that an still use two colors. I was hoping to be able to kinda put a image on a blanket instead of a mosaic pattern.

    I crochet really tight. I’m using Caron One Pound and a 5mm hook, but at ch 200 I’m still not at 38”. Any suggestions? Should I use a larger hook? If so, what do you recommend? Thank you!!

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  2 года назад +1

      If you are a tight crocheter and know it. Increase your hook size.

    I've never seen where you don't do the chains on the end of the row, and then turn...looks like you end the row and turn then do the chain at beginning of the next row? why is that> thanks.

    I want to incorporate this pattern in a blanket I'm making. How do I do that? My blanket has 200 stitches in a row

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  3 года назад +1

      You will have to match the stitch multiple of the existing blanket. So you may need to have buffer stitches if the stitch multiple isn't exact. It's how people are doing that with mosaic with mix and matching the designs. The stitch multiple I believe is mentioned in this tutorial but also I believe on the pattern itself that's linked to the video description and video comments.

    • @rm3222
      @rm3222 3 года назад

      Thank you for your reply. I started with 194 stitches and 3 extra single crochets on either ends as buffer. Hope it will work 😊

    It looks like the pattern is only in one side. Is that how it is?

    • @vickilee2461
      @vickilee2461 3 года назад +1

      Yes. There is a right and wrong side.
      I am just now trying this pattern, he says that one side makes the drop down look. Every "even" row is just matching stitch for stitch and chain for chain meaning you're not doing any fancy work because you're on the back. 😃 I hope that helps.
