Thank you for bringing this up; we hardly thought that our little videos would reach a worldwide audience but of course they do. It's very important to research the qualities of any plant for your garden and pond, for example Lythrum salicaria (Purple Loosestrife) is an excellent native plant in the UK but an aggressive neophyte in the USA. We only sell to UK residents but please do source your plants responsibly. It's fascinating that the same plant can behave completely differently in different environments where their natural pests and predators, which exert control after evolving together for millennia, do not exist, allowing them to reproduce exponentially.
As a pond builder, we only use plants that are relatively well-behaved and easy to maintain. We see many pond keepers with out-of-control lilies / iris / rushes etc.
North American pond owners should note these are mostly species native to the UK. Many of them are noxious weeds in the Americas. Of course many of our native species are weeds in the UK
