- When we remove God from the center of our life, we all fill the void with a lesser thing in our search for meaning. As we continue in our new series, Pastor Ben Stuart looks at Paul's letter to the Thessalonians and explores what it means for us to turn away from the idols we have constructed in our our lives and fix our gaze on Jesus.

This is so intense! Thank You. I need this sermon daily!
"Good gifts, bad gods".... profound
Praise be to God!!! The Lord is my portion, my cup of blessing, He is enough!! God bless you Pastor Ben
Amen! So we’ll put! It easy to start adoring other things when Our eyes and Hope need to be on our Creator! When We keep our eyes. On Jesus , we will be able to have a great life , our wealth won’t go to the next fast car We can find, but rather a car for Single Mom or Dad who needs to get to work. There is so much good We can do, let’s keep our eyes on Jesus and see Jesus start to change the World!
Thank you, Ben, for your solid teaching. It has helped me grow and I am passing that on to those in my sphere. God bless and protect you!
I never thought I would hear an Eminem song quoted in a sermon, but it was so powerful. This sermon is making me think and I thank God for using Ben. ❤

AMEN TO THIS.
So so so so good! ❤🙏🏼
Why do you blaspheme Ben? Very clear in the word not to do so. Should really be more careful what you say as a leader.
Can you share the statement you are referencing?
@@kinghoover9672 oh my god
That isn't blaspheming His name because it's not His name but a title. Some say to use His name in vain is to bring it to not. But really to profane, use in vain, or blasphem is to misrepresent the God you claim to serve. By saying, "I'm a Christian" and then living a life that contradicts His character. Or "I serve God" and then live a life for self. To misrepresent the King is to blasphem His name, because His Name is His reputation.
@Christ.in.me.1john4 This is why studying the scripture is so vital. My people die for lack of knowle. Using God's name in vain by saying Oh my God.. is blasphemy! You cannot say you did not know when you stand before Him one day.
@@lislevollgraaff1236 God is not His name. His name is יהוה. Depending on whether you have found different vowel points in the manuscripts you could say YeHoWaH, YaHuWeH, YeHuWaH, but like I said the name of God is not God. If someone says I believe in god.. this is a very vague thing to say. Maybe someone says OMG, but the Hindu man means Krishna. Or the Muslim means Allah. Perhaps the pagan means Balal. All of these are god's but they all have names. Not to say, these are the true God!
I agree that, "His people perish for lack of knowledge". I have read my Bible and I do believe we should. However, blasphem is defined in the Bible, not from the pulpit. No were in the Bible did the Israelites struggle with saying OMG its so hot in this wilderness. OMG like did you hear what Jesus said to the pharisees, who does he think he is.
But we see in Ezekiel 36:16-28 that the (people of God profaned His Holy name BY SAYING ⚠️ WE ARE THE PEOPLE OF GOD ⚠️ And then continue to misrepresent Him by sacrificing there children contrary to God's covenant. Leaving the land in which they were given to serve Him in. And not for our sake did He give us His Holy Spirit but because he had pity on His Name/reputation which we slandered wherever we went. When we receive His Spirit then we shall serve Him with a pure heart.
In the hebraic meaning of what a name is, it's the character of a person. כלב is dog in hebrew but it is translated to Caleb in English and it means "loyal", as a dog. When Jacob came to wrestle with the angel of the Lord, God changed his name to fit his character. Jesus/Yeshua means salvation He is salvation that is who He is. This is the character of Yeshua, SALVATION. יהוה, is "I AM", He is, He was, and He will be. In Him is no shadow of turning. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We are His ambassadors, that represents His nature. When we are born again, (of His Spirit) we may NOW walk just as Jesus walked.
