I wish Giants would model break downs that makes the equipment unusable until repaired and, of course, it happens Saturday evening when you can’t get parts till Monday morning. UGH!! (Evil grin)
True, but for me rocks are just too much of a tedium from real farming life that I don't want in my game. Possibly because there is no really good way to dispose of them in game.
At the point your using the stone picker no the tractor wont damage the field as you would not be collecting stones after seeding/planting so there would be no crop growth.
I love the rocks (once they get the implements / field mask issues sorted at least). It adds a nice bit of work and planning variety when you swap between cultivation and periodic plowing.
So if I have a stone picker that’s full is there a conveyor or belt I can just dump them onto that will go into a trailer, instead of using a bucket to load a trailer?
To be honest I turned off stones a long time ago as they updated the game and from that point I felt stones spawned to frequently on the fields making the process unenjoyable.
@@FarmerKlein I might ditch the idea just never used conveyors was trying to get into it and stones seemed a possible option to use kinda quickly and occasionally. I got a small field that I picked up rocks on and then I used a roller like in this video. However, when I look at the map it still says my field needs rolling. Is it bugged? I think I used the cultivator and then the roller, after that I fertilized and planted grass there.
My rock collector and my roller won’t get rid of the rocks.. I tried rolling and I tried the most expensive rock collector and they still wouldn’t work. The field said it needed rolling but the rocks wouldn’t disappear. Any ideas why?
Did you try before seeding/planting? I no longer do rock collection as I feel there are way to many that spawn but I think that rock collection only works if the field is in a plowed or cultivated state
I have a question It shows that there is a limit between makes total rations hey and grass what would be a reasonable amount so it is level out between those three
If your talking about cows you feed the best food source you can. Cows will only eat one of the sources. IF you add grass they will eat grass till you add hay. If you add hay they will no longer eat grass until the hay is empty. If you feed TMR they will only eat TMR until it is empty.
I can't understand the difference of calcuvate vs seedbed. Seedbed I think is the best but if use for example plow - roller I take seedbed , if use plow - roller - stone picker I take cultivating. What is the fastest way for seedbed with stone picker ???
My question is: is there a finite amount of stone in a field(ie: after several seasons of picking stone you remove all of the stones for ever), or does a new crop of stones grow every season (ie: you will never get rid of all the stones)?
@@jackofall2305 IRL frost and thaw is roughly to the same depth in an area, so I would think that eventually all the stones it can affect would come to the surface to be removed. But I'm sure to a farmer it seems there is no end to the cycle. In game, I would assume an infinite supply.

@@Derethevil bonus money is related to enviormental score which has nothing to do with seedbed state. shallow cultivator or power harrow no stones to collect then seed or direct seed/plant post harvest to max out the tillage score.
