Ocelot is such a champ. Son of The Boss, double (triple?) agent, worked with Big Boss and Liquid. Played the Patriots, and sacrificed himself to save the world.
The fact that Raiden stuck around after his wife lied about cheating on him and miscarrying their baby in the middle of his PTSD attacks really speaks a lot about how good of a person he is, honestly.
Oh no, you know he's calling his son every single day to tell him all the cool ninja stuff he's doing. A child telling his Dad he's cool is stronger than any influence The Patriots could hope to have.

Watching anyone go through this story in general is fun, its the last bit of joy I have left for the metal gear franchise ever since it was ended by its creators, always interesting to see the different thoughts and emotions running through their mind as they experience this one of a kind gem, it really makes me feel that the game is always new, although to be fair now that I think I about it Im probably just breathing an unhealthy amount of copium
i really like otacons almost-eulogy. honestly i hadnt thought too deeply about how rough it would be for him to watch his unstoppable, reliable hero and basically bestie who could take a tank on by himself get super old and fragile and have a really sad death wish. real good counterpoint to when he reminisces at shadow moses.

Thank you, Kojima, for making such an incredible franchise for people like her to enjoy, and for giving us all these memories to share.
Man, when Otacon said "Snake..had a hard life" with his voice quivering, that got me all teared up. I love how much Pomu loves the Metal Gear Solid games
Love how Pomu was joking about deleting memes until she saw the gun, then it turned to serious for her. Her reactions through the series brought me part of the joy I felt when I played the games for the 1st time years ago.
It’s remarkable how many awful, _awful_ things she was either directly responsible for or an enabler of/accomplice to...and how little she ever even tried to atone for her worst mistakes.
MGS4 is a game that has grown on me more and more as time goes on. Not as much as MGS2, but in the same ballpark. The themes of the world being tired, only able to churn out degraded copies of original legends doing the same tired schemes and double crosses really comes through so well in hindsight.

The first time I play this, I didn't really understand what Otacon said about "Snake, had a hard life." And why so many people so broken by that. A decade later, here in this video, I finally realized he spoke in past tense knowing what Snake would do... There's nothing like MGS I'll tell you that.
Watching this makes me wonder if Pomu would like they Yakuza series. It also has moments of goofy ass whimsy sprinkled between serious, heart wrenching drama
I just noticed that when the stages change in the fight between snake and liquid. Not only does the music change but the camera angle goes to a different view like how it was in those games. I love this game
There were 3 parts of MGS4 that actually made me cry, unironically. Going back to Shadow Moses (mostly the start of the area + the music), the microwave tunnel, and the ending + Big Boss scene. The fight with Ocelot was honestly pretty difficult and I was just in the zone the entire time, but it's great going back to it. Watching Pomu experience the series has been amazing.
As much as I love Snake Eater and Debriefing, I have to stand by the fact that Old Snake was the most fitting theme thematically in the entire series. That Guitar man, it gets me every time.
I’d consider myself not a super emotional person but dang this whole ending cutscene got me. Especially with Sunny asking about Snake with Otacon’s response and especially Ocelot, Big Boss and even Zero dying.
