They are using the wrist blades, it was part of a mechanic introduced in reach, if you played as elites and performed assassinations without a sword it would use these wrist blades instead, whereas spartans used their combat knives for their animations
Bro, you’re talking to us. You alive lol. Must be the ONI spooks that put you up to this. Can’t say as though I blame them though. Better off for covenant splinter cells to think that they’re seeing a ghost of a deadly spartan while on an op, basically make them hyperventilate and go into denial lol
There’s a weird fanfiction where after Noble 6 dies he wakes up in the Star Fox setting and starts a relationship with Krystal. Honestly, if it were up to me I’d canonize that because it would be the funniest thing in the world.
2:42 a point you missed how come we have not heard of this elite? After this cutscene Is it because he's dead? BY NOBLE 6???? You would think since he " killed " 6 he would be important but he's just gone Noble 6 is alive
It's an energy dagger and it deploys from their wrist gauntlet, from the wiki it says that usually zelots carry it but was really only seen in multiplayer for player controlled elites. in terms of lore, they're not mentioned much but in the bungie era of games, the games trumped all other forms of media in cannonicity so while not mentioned anywhere else they are no doubt canon and that the elites that 6 is fighting would have them in their arsenal
I do think there’s a small chance 6 is somehow alive, I’m holding out hope. However, when the silver elite is kicked back you see a frame at 0:51 where it looks like he has a mini energy sword coming from his wrist armor. That might be what the other elite stabbed him with. It could’ve been fatal, but some characters in the books have survived worse if I remember.
Good points, at first I THought too it came from the wrist/forearm. But when watching it frame by frame. His hand curls into it as if he was holding it. I researched every sword type and it doesn’t match any in the books or wikis
Dude… six is dead lol the Elite flat out used a Wrist blade to kill him. Even if he survived the onslaught of Elites how the living hell is he getting out alive of a Glassed planet lol
@@IvanicohG 27, don't give a shit, it's still true. The game did so, so, so much wrong. And it's not even just a "oh no mechanics were added" thing because as far as I'm concerned Infinite took a second look and mostly fixed it's issues. Can't fix Bungie's intentional snubbing of Eric Nylund's novels, though.
He deployed an energy dagger from his wrist not a sword. 6 is ded

Wrong you seem to forget Spartans don’t die

I never had the skill necessary to assassinate.
Lore wise there’s no pocket swords so I treat this as a RANT video
@IvanicohG it's like a knife that's attached to the wrist, you cam see it on the elites wrist in the cutscene
It is a wrist plasma blade. It was quite literally introduced in Reach.
@DocLeQuack show me the lore
@@IvanicohG it is in front of your face
Noble 6 is actually just chilling on a beach somewhere with a 30 rack of Busch and a burger

Even if Noble Six did survive the encounter. He still wouldve died of the orbital glassing of reach

Or the canon version of 6 marries Chief and they have little Spartan Vs (III+IIs)
The wrist gauntlet wasn't what killed him, they glassed his corpses.
The canon way for a super soldier to die
I just released I said corpses, which is my headcannon now, noble 6 committed the action of mitosis before his death, what we saw was just one of 15.
It’s an energy dagger, not a sword
My rant video to make me look insane 😏
I like to think the mini blade is the covenant equivalent of a hidden blade
Assassins creed, Reach
@@IvanicohG just give us an elite assassins creed game

Noble 6 is alive
Also how did his helmet move from where he put it?. Because he is alive that's how
If he really died the elites would have taken it
You have any idea how many Spartans they killed that day? To the Covenant Noble 6 was just another Spartan
He may be dead in lore. But not in my heart
