This is my first time here and Im honestly so confused as to what goes on here. I mean the channel's name is "No Bars Off" and yet to hear you say you don't care about bars etc., has me scratching my head. Im on older woman that grew up during the inception of rap/hip-hop so the love in my heart for it will never grow cold. However, Im definitely more selective about what I lend an ear/energy to. That said, COAST CONTRA's body of work is dense and never disappoints so I hope to see you gentlemen give these younger brother's more attention and love, as they are not on BS! You can tell they respect and appreciate the craft and responsibility to the culture/community. 🤎
Thank you for watching and giving us a shot. We care about bars for sure. We may have confused you with the mention of not being attached to “hip-hop” with that said, Coast Contra absolutely can switch anyone’s mindset. We were blown away. Thank you again!!
Update: Many thanks to Sha Stimuli, Boardwalk Brown, NBO, and Respected Roots!! 🫡🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 My RR beard grooming kit officially came in today 😁🧔🏾💪🏾💯💪🏾 #menoftheirword
New viewer...npew subscriber...all because coast contra......I luv you dudes and the way you break it down and I am coast fanatic...confirms everything I say about these cats....check out coast contra on kosmic kev and you will be assured real hip hop is in good hands...salute to you 2!
Sha is making me die laughing The consensus people are falling all out on Eric's verse which is impressive but I'm glad you guys highlighted Ras verse which to me is amazing.
Ras is the best rapper I've ever heard to spit God/innnerself/metaphysical bars. I go listen to THE Realist and Dead hommies freestyles just to here the spiritual message that Ras drops on their. Taj.. is close to. Btw... EJ in early 30s.. The other 3 are late 20s. Y'all go to do more of their stuff.
Love the intro and conversation before the reaction. First timer here! Also, Great reaction. Sub! I listen to all Coast CONTRA reactors but rarely go back and listen to their other stuff. But I will be tapping in to y'all.
Was worried this was gonna be curmudgeon(y) LoL...but hard to be down about Hip-hop when listening to Coast Contra...Salute to you to for sharing that LOVE of what these Brothers are doing...#WhyILoveHipHop is it FEEDS us...sadly we don't always know or get to choose the ingredients, but at this age and maturity I love being able to find gems like Coast Contra as I have abstained from "radio" for almost 15 years (if it isn't Sway or Rock the Bells I go find artist and people like them to build my playlist)....this was dope.
Dope reaction Big Dogs. I feel yall on these 🌽 lyrical miracle rappers. Peep Symba, Vince Staples, Westside Boogie, Snow tha Product. One time for a new fan lol . Real life rappers from the West Coast. Would love to see a reaction Fam🫡
I nearly switched until you started to break down Es bars, these bros are deep. This is not a group to be overlooked, like you said, open your mind, hear it feel it, be amazed. Coast Contra.
Both of your reflections are refreshing but I’m curious why Taj and Rio’s verse didn’t see time? They contribute equally to the personality of the group and the message is coherent between them. Fate is in Gods hands and music should be a reflection upon the divine. This is their message. It is so clear and so rare to see hip Hop portraying anything of this sort . I can see why Eric and Ras’s verses stuck out. Ras was my personal favorite. I appreciate both of your inputs, we are all desperately looking to relate to something real. If I relate to something only by myself it becomes lost in a loop of my own self reference. Which is doomed to self deception. To see someone feel similarly about something reminds me that I am not alone. I can understand why the genre itself has lost value. Based on the things in the song you both reacted to, it’s easy to see why cynicism and a skepticism of the genre would be warranted. it’s unfortunate because it can be a beautiful art form. It’s a death of beauty in the culture though. Not in the art.
It was more of a time restraint thing. We picked a verse each that spoke to us. We love what they do and they’ll be back on the show. More importantly, thank you for giving us some time.
The name of the show is what ? For you to say you don't care about hip hop is crazy . Perhaps you don't care for the current state of hip hop and you don't listen much ..but you are eating your words after coast contra
The other two versus went well with the song as they all had different jewels in them. Coast is the truth!

I surprised you haven't had a Ras Kass song on here. I nominate write where I left off. I think yall would appreciate the simple but complex word play

We do. I’ll send it.
No bars off? But want less bars? Weird
Nobody said less bars.
Aye y’all need to do a reaction to the rapper j1hunnit, a solid lyricist for my generation ‼️

@@nobarsoffshow4533I could say the same. Thank you for taking the time to respond.
