Excellent, excellent summary! Did the research, found the footage and the newspaper headlines, awesome job. The only two details I miss (especially in the context of 'not being a man for the big games') are two of his most beautiful goals: the solo at the World Cup vs Spain in 2014 where he out sprints everyone and the game winning goal at RB Leipzig in 16-17 in an absolute cracker of a game (Bayern won 5-4 having trailed 4-2 until the 83rd minute, Robben assisted on 4-3 with a shot that hit the crossbar and was tapped in, then scored a spectacular solo goal from the right wing in the 95th minute to win a critical game). Those and the volley vs ManUtd are goals I'll never forget ArjenRobben #AbsoluteLegend
I'm glad Robben its being discussed nowadays, He always played for a good team but the difference was that he made that team good and not vice versa. Such an impactful player that he could have won the Balon D'or but you just couldn't compete with Messi and Ronaldo...
Ah Robben, always sad to think about how good he wouldve been with less injuries. Still a legend. As a dutchie i know he started leftwing, and had way more then 1 move. His right foot wasnt even that bad. Its just the usual move he did was undefendable and he kept scoring cus his left shot was amazing, so why even bother doing anything else. Undefendable winger
To say everyone, everybody including the coaches, the reff and other officials, the spectators on stand, the TV viewers , both opposing players on pitch, and of course the goalkeeper and even fifa, eufa and FA'S all knew he's going to only do just that move all to his retirement and no one can stop the move plus all those mesmerising goalsssssss
Robben would have been the GOAT if it wasn't for all his injuries. In the Netherlands we called him "De man van glas" (translated to the man from glass, as he was always injured).
He actually was also a talented tennis player. When we trained together in regional practise we often would also play some soccer. (Us being 10 years old). After some time we found out it was most fair if we made 2 teams: 1 of Arjen alone vs 7 others + the trainer. And even then he often managed to win. He had massive feeling for the ball. I remember the coach telling him that eventhough he could have been a decent Dutch tennis player (he was probably the best player in the group), he should follow his football career.
You know what's crazy? My mom knows Robben because they both grew up in the same village called Bedum. Robben's father was my mom's gym teacher, and my mom used to babysit Robben's little sister. He once made an appearance at my local football club VV Omlandia, and Robben instantly recognized my mom. That moment really hit as a core memory, and instantly made my mom 100x times cooler to me xD. I was 11 at the time, about 12 years ago.
My favourite player ever. I watched him smoke my team and before kickoff uou already knew he would cut in and score outside the box and despite knowing that, he still did it. Twice! Bayern changed their entire formation just to accomodate for him. I’m not sure if you guys knew this but he changed his running form to prevent injury which is his signature stutter stepping but this made his laterally quick which is how he became so damn deadly at Bayern
Come let’s take this guy to 1k subs, for his channel to be monetise so he can start eating the fruit of his labour. Great content, Robben is one of my favourite players from the last 15 years
The fc Groningen pictures of 16 year old Robben looks allot like a 36 year old Wayne Rooney. And Rooney didnt exactly age well. Jokes aside the raw quality of this guy is amazing! Such a good career, ill never understand why Chelsea let him leave in his prime ... Or even madrid for that matter. His Bayern Munich time was just unbelievable to watch
He made me love football from a really really young age and was the reason why i always wanted to play football. Especially since i’m left footed as well
It is hard to describe how impactful Robben was without actual footage of his actions from right wing. Bayern's wing were crazy dangerous. He was starting rather slow around the mid line, and then boom, supersonic, turn, 3/4 steps and another boom from left foot. There is no exaggeration in saying anyone knew what he was about to do, but no one could stop it". I always imagined that when Robbery were attacking from wings the defenders must have felt like that camera from FIFA game (be a pro mode), where it start shaking when player is gaining speed. It was not the matter of speed, it was a mater of reaction and Robbery had that absolutely on master class level. I have never seen better wings in one team than what Robbery did.
To come back from all those injuries shows dedication and mental strength. If only his body would be as strong as his will. Also a great guy, down to earth and approachable. You'll often see him in Groningen or his birthplace Bedum on a bike going to Fc Groningen, his childhood football club Bedum and even sometimes at his old elementary school were my son now goes to school with a wall with signed shirts of all the teams he played for.

Robbin was crazy he could with the line and no one would get to him. I saw him when i was very young and i was so astonished with his moves
Was also a great diver i think that should be mentioned too!
this vid was awesome! robben has always been one of my fav players. i rarely see football vids that track entire career progress of a single player. your retelling play-by-play made it 10x more interesting too
I remember being proud of some talented players like him representing the Netherlands back then. These days i feel like we lack a lot when it comes to good players. 😢
Those and the volley vs ManUtd are goals I'll never forget
ArjenRobben #AbsoluteLegend
This is a world class recap, I wish robben can watch this. Good work bros
Mentaliity of Robben is amazing, so many injuries and preforms on the field 💪
Robben Forever Legend
Majority of His Goals are World Class
In his prime, easily one of the top 3 best players in the world
Once robben cut in from the rw you know the goal was coming next 🔥👌🏾 Long live the Dutch legend
Great video!! Robben is such an underrated player and its great that he is finally getting the recognition he deserves!
He is not underrated by football fans, only by youtube sheep like you
He recently ran a full marathon, cause he just loves running! The man is and always will be a true sportsman.
Fantastic tribute for one of the game's greatest ever wingers
My classmate now delivers pizzas to the guy, since he lives in his city. Great guy seemingly.
A crime to mention Robben without Ribery
Robbery
Very well edited video! Glad I ran into it! Good luck in the future!
Thanks !
Robben would have been the GOAT if it wasn't for all his injuries. In the Netherlands we called him "De man van glas" (translated to the man from glass, as he was always injured).
Nobody is talking about how good the narration is
The algorithm has chosen you
He should have won the ballon d’or in 2013. He totally deserved it.
they ended up splitting the votes between half the Bayern squad in 2013
Nice video. Appreciate the effort you put into it to admire this hero.
Bro you videos are so well made it’s crazy how you only have 100+ subs
Keep up the good work👏
Robben was a glass statue, absolutely beautiful but oh so fragile.
Robben and Ribery deserved world best title at some point in their careers, if not for the Messi and Ronaldo conspiracy
Saw this man at tennis practice 2 months ago super nice dude
Really well told, gj man you got talent. Everything was on point and well summarized without leaving out crucial things.
He's from my hometown and I kid you not, this guy is a regarded a hero here. FC Groningen is still very close to my heart
A formidable player and a treasured individual here in my hometown of Groningen.
13:57 it was at this moment that Lewa decided he had to join bayern
You know what's crazy? My mom knows Robben because they both grew up in the same village called Bedum. Robben's father was my mom's gym teacher, and my mom used to babysit Robben's little sister. He once made an appearance at my local football club VV Omlandia, and Robben instantly recognized my mom. That moment really hit as a core memory, and instantly made my mom 100x times cooler to me xD. I was 11 at the time, about 12 years ago.
To talk about that Spain team and not mention Iniesta is quite ballsy
My favourite player ever. I watched him smoke my team and before kickoff uou already knew he would cut in and score outside the box and despite knowing that, he still did it. Twice!
Bayern changed their entire formation just to accomodate for him.
I’m not sure if you guys knew this but he changed his running form to prevent injury which is his signature stutter stepping but this made his laterally quick which is how he became so damn deadly at Bayern
Come let’s take this guy to 1k subs, for his channel to be monetise so he can start eating the fruit of his labour.
Great content, Robben is one of my favourite players from the last 15 years
This channel deserves waaaaaaay more subscribers! Great channel.
Was really hoping to see more analysis of play as your title implied to me. Enjoyed the career summary somewhat
I don't usually watch football since it bores the heck outta me but this video is pretty good, you have potential to make it big.
Imagine if Ronaldo and Robben both played together at Man United. Deadly Combo🔥
Only injuries could stop him! Amazingly great, underrated player.
Yeah sadly injuries destroyed his career
Too bad his goal against Spain, WC 2014, isn't in this clip.. 🤤
Nice to know why he was pants at Cheksea. At Bayern he has been fantastic!
Without injuries people would name him among Messi, Ronaldo et Cetera
A defender's nightmare not sure whether to go out to him to block him from shooting or to sit back and let him run at you.
👏👏👏👏👏 That year he was supposed to be player of the year!
He's one of the best right wingers of all time
To come back from all those injuries shows dedication and mental strength. If only his body would be as strong as his will. Also a great guy, down to earth and approachable. You'll often see him in Groningen or his birthplace Bedum on a bike going to Fc Groningen, his childhood football club Bedum and even sometimes at his old elementary school were my son now goes to school with a wall with signed shirts of all the teams he played for.
ribery, tony, robben... most underrated trio ever
We can’t forget tha greats. Keep these videos going
I really love this boy 😢he was underrated 😢
Th3 facts that he recovered from cancer to play at the highest level amazed me more
He the hero of my home town, and I am very proud of that ❤
Kezmet and Robben.... man miss those days...
In 2009/10 we faced Fiorentina in the round of 16. Manchester United was in the quarter finals. We faced LYON in the semis.
