Outro - Infinity by LEMMiNO
It has been pointed out that at 3:37 i mistakenly wrote "f-15 phantom" instead of "f-15 eagle".
I do not know how i let such an egregious mistake slip by. I will pray on this, and atone.
*_Having an infinitly dense fuel would be very convenient!_*
NEW! The Singularity Engine!
we could use an infinite rocket to simulate a second sun, that moves from east to west, so Jake doesn't have to use the moon for navigation anymore.
Dude that's a fucking reference and a half lol
goated response
I love obscure stupid aerospace facts and this series, so this episode was an instant click for me
you forgot the nuclear powered rocket that was supposed to power an icbm infinitely. I think it was called project Pluto.
It’s the nuclear ramjet I believe, and it would’ve been able to circumnavigate the globe while dropping bombs and radiation everywhere since it was open cycle.
See, if my lessons at university had been like this, I would have scored full marks
I feel like I should at least once thank you for using Lemmino's Infinity as your outro because it introduced me to the fact that Lemmino makes music and it fucking rules
Why wings when engine goes brrrrrr?
If there was unlimited rocket fuel then my marriage wouldn’t have failed❤️
Exactly, if my addiction didn't bankrupt us, she wouldn't have left me
3:37 you're killing me brah
IM SO SORRY
now make a "theoretically what countries will use a specific titanfall titan" video :)
we gotta know what titan Venezuela uses
i dream of the day metallic hydrogen might be confirmed and made in industrial quantities so we can finally see if there is actually is such a thing as enough thrust.
I thought tim is the data analyst, he's also an aerospace engineer??
Jake is the analyst, Tim is the nerd. Actually, they're both nerds.
Highly recommend the live shows, this one was very fun. No idea how I got closest, total guess
based, phantom.
Comment is a sacrifice to the algorithm gods. Awesome video!
Isn’t the F-15 also undefeated in combat?
swaggy ahh
*The F-15 Phantom*
I am triggered
Sorry I'll kill myself it's fine
Wait what the fuck we got presented with so many questions but no answers
Tarkov welder goggles in the thumbnail, nice.
Thats what she pondered...
Okay, angry plane nerd here.
Just so you know, the story about the F4 Phantom being garbage max because no gun is kind of bullshit (and not only because the F4 did often carry pod mounted guns). For multiple reasons. The actual story behind why it initially underperformed was a combination of maintenance, training, and - most of all - doctrine.
First off, early F4's had smoky engines. This made them easy to spot and allowed their enemy to see them coming and warn other forces of their direction, leading to interceptions.
Second, missile training and maintenance was poor. Very poor. Pilots weren't skilled in using them, and ground crews were shit at fixing and keeping them secure, hence 7% success rate.
Third, and most importantly, doctrine. For whatever reason, I forget why, the squadron formation of groups of four as opposed to the pairs of wingmen we have now just didn't work. It bogged down communication, and just made pilots uncoordinated. But probably the most damning failure was the banning of beyond visual range strikes. Phantoms could lock on and target from distance, where missiles could maneuver and score a hit properly, but weren't allowed to, which gave MiGs the opportunity to close in and dogfight like they'd been designed. Try using a missile on an enemy already in your face, it just doesn't work.
Fixing all of this was the actual Top Gun program, along with better ground crew training, which made the initial 1:1 K/D ratio skyrocket in favour of the F4, all the way up to 20:1- which included the Navy variant, which was never given a gun.
So yeah, missiles rule, guns drool.
Mamma mia, la libreria Switch è a dir poco gigantesca, e questi sono soprattutto non di terze parti
How do I hear a longer version of all these goobers
