- Altered Beast is a beat'em up game released by Sega in 1988 for the Mega Drive console. Is also known as Juuouki.
It is the time of gods, myths and legends. When men were warriors and courageously fought unnatural enemies in the endless battle of good against evil.
The goddess Athena has been abducted by Neff, the Lord of the Underworld. Her father, the great god Zeus, searched for a brave warrior strong enough to save her.
Zeus chooses a centurion who died with honour and courage on the battlefield, raising the warrior from the grave and granted him the power to morph into a powerful, holy beast in order to do battle against the unspeakable horrors of the underworld.

The conversion of Altered Beast is very similar to the arcade one both in terms of graphics and sound, although it does have some differences in the behavior of the final bosses and in difficulty, since it is easier. As extra content we show all the 2 player beast transformations, and all the attacks of the enemies of the game.
La conversión de Altered Beast es muy similar a la recreativa tanto en el aspecto gráfico como en el sonoro, si bien jugablemente tiene algunas diferencias en el comportamiento de los jefes finales y en dificultad, ya que es mas fácil. Como contenido extra mostramos todas las transformaciones en bestia del jugador 2, y todos los ataques de los enemigos del juego.
Vaya partidazo a este gran clásico, ademas hay que tener algo de memoria a la hora de los poder ups. Nunca me lo he acabado pero apuntado en mi lista esta.

Na, te lo pasas fácil, es mucho mas asequible que el arcade, sobretodo si vas al grano y no pierdes el tiempo al conseguir las bolas.
The music is significantly slower than it should be. Is that because it's running at 50Hz?
Yes, this is the PAL version.
@@RetroDanuart Funny, I had the PAL version back then but don't remember this. I guess I got used to the 60Hz version later on.
@@zabustifu Yes, people prefer the 60Hz, but in games like Sonic the music is too fast for me :)
