Escaflowne is truly timeless... whenever I find myself listening to the full ost, I just end up overwhelmed with so much feelings to the point that I could even cry. Thank you for this masterpiece Yoko Kanno and everyone involved in this project 💝

I'm almost done watching this anime, but goddamn this ost is fucking perfection. One of the best anime has to offer in not only surround sound, but in its orchestrated soundtrack.

Definitely Lion King, for sure, but I actually thought of Tarzan first. Strange, given how mellow this song is.
I keep listening to this song before.. I thought I had a bad copy, back then... Now I realize that they deliberately made the sound mixing kinda drown out the vocals. You can barely hear it over the rest of the instruments. And you would never get the lyrics/stanzas if you don't have the lyric sheet with you.
I think it’s fine for the chorus, but yes, the mixing and Engrish doesn't help understanding it.
