looks like you need stradella bass for irish on 48 bass to get bminor, so is the 8x6 hohner layout?

Hi there i have a 48 bass very nice made at paulo suprino factory in italy, i've been learning on my 72 bass, now i'd like to start using my 48 bass i'm finding it's a little bit limited, for instance you mentioned that there is a E natural on the bass side on the last row, but no B so how can i play in the key of E on the bass side and play a B7 with my left hand what do i do instead? thanks. Can a 48 bass accordian be ok to play standards such as italian songs, irish tunes roll out the barrel etc etc please advise thanks.

I've put this question out to a few people.no Bm and i've got a ton of scottish tunes with the Bm chord in it.I've only being playing accordion for a month.
