@Because Stuff Breaks with Justin Peters don't know if you ever figured out how to get back panel off but if not, once you get to the step to take back rollers off go to back of dryer it's like 5 screws take out come back to front that whole panel lifts up and out super easy to remove with impact drill and crescent. Those things are in super tight. Also this is the BEST VIDEO for this repair I found thanks man

Thank you very much! After a frantic call from my daughter telling me her 2nd floor washers was flooding, I found small piece of tubing attached to the tub had slipped off. That’s when I learned of her EXTREMELY noisy dryer. I found your video, got same day delivery of parts from Amazon and within 24 hours completed the repair. Your video was excellent. I plan to add your suggested links to my regular devotional time, Brother. 👍

What are 2nd set of 3 screws behind door exactly for. My dryer does not have them. You took 2 out near lint trap and 1 from the top. Mine had no screws. And do screws go thru part of lint trap plastic because I used my own screws. (Slightly longer) 😬

I watched your video several times before starting. Thanks to your warning about the sharp edges, I had my gloves on and prepared. I did price the repair kit on Amazon but I chose to buy local from a small parts store even though it cost more. I try to support small businesses when I can. Your instructions were simple but specific where I did not have to question each step. I did have to get my son to get the wheels off for me, they were really stuck on. With our team effort, our dryer is up and running and not making any squeaky noise. And it got a good cleaning out. Thank you for taking the time to shoot this video. SLS Tue Aug 2, 2022

Comments are 2yrs old but I have this exact dryer and this video tutorial was, step by step, spot on. Used Amazon replacement parts and I was done in a little over an hour since I also cleaned as I went along. The only small difference was that, the replacement bolts that came with the new rollers were slightly smaller on the wrench side. Thanks for the video!

I watched so many videos where the
creator blocked, didnt show, showed an awful or dangerous example of how to get the belt onto the tensioner. I didn’t think it was possible from the front because I couldn’t see it. But I didn’t need to see it after I saw you do it. Thank you, Justin!
After I got my dryer put back together - I replaced the belt, the idler pulley, all four rollers, the fuses, and the heating elements - I remembered to sweep my dryer vent before putting it back in its home.
HOLY CROW! (Love Norm MacDonald) I thought I was going to need to replace my sweeper with a weed eater or a chainsaw. As the lint was flying past me, clouds of it hanging in the air, I realized that I had forgotten to do this for 10 years! It was so compacted, it took me over an hour and 20 trips up and down from the roof with different tools to clear it out.

So happy I found your video. I knew something was up with my noisy Samsung dryer that would sometimes make a buzzing/humming noise when I started it without the drum spinning. I would open the door and manually spin it a bit and it would work again for a few days to weeks. Yesterday was it though and I searched the RUclips for videos. I have already changed the heating element so was hopeful I'd find easy to follow instructions for whatever was wrong this time. So grateful for this video...clear and easy to follow instructions given during your video made this a breeze! I even ordered the part you listed from Amazon yesterday, received it this afternoon and my dryer is working again!! THANK YOU!

THANK YOU! My husband and I tag teamed this project and got it done in no time! We are by no means newbies to DIY projects but this had a lot of steps that seem daunting to the unaware. You broken it down simply and easily! 3 of 4 bearings were worn and burnt. 😬 strap was wearing thin too so it was just a matter of time before the whole thing kicked the bucket. Cut the side of my hand just barely (you werent lying about the sharp parts) but, otherwise, we kicked ass! There was a tiny, slight buzzy noise when it FIRST started that slowly dissipated after about 10 min of running. Thanks to you, my house wont catch fire because of my janky dryer. 😂

Very well done video! I used it to access and troubleshoot my dryer, then used your parts link to get the parts needed for repair. To lube the shafts of the new roller wheels and idler pully, I used a very thin film of high temp resistant grease for brake caliper pins to make them spin more smoothly. To help keep all of the similar but not identical screws straight, used a strip of refrigerator seal magnet material & lined 'em up left to rt as I took them off. This made re-assembly 2 days later very easy with no guessing about which fastener went where.

This video saved me the cost of a new dryer - thanks very much. Surprisingly, the hardest part was step 1: open Lid. I needed to putty knife it open. Outside that the rear wheel rollers came out ok without much force or needing to pull off the back panel. My far right back wheel had the bearing melted into (completely gone) and the wear was so bad it most likely would’ve snapped off soon. Pully was also half missing, but somehow belt was working still. Unfortunately I have to take another step and replace the felt on my drum(it’s torn). Repair guys will charge you for a new drum at $500. The price of felt and glue is $60. I assume the heater will go next on me - but one step at a time.
    Thanks very much !!

I have also replaced the heating element in the same drier. Three appliance companies worked on my dryer for over a year and replaced every working part. Started with having to manually spin it to start on heavy loads. Then all loads, then started grinding and eventually locked up last time they worked on it. Helped me troubleshoot to learn my door front is now binding the drum when reattached so guessing it has to be a balance issue. Still haven't been able to correct it so lesson learned is stay away from Samsung.

Thanks for the thorough instructions. It is easier to remove the back panel to replace the back rollers. There are five screws on the back of the dryer. And then you unscrew the heating element.

Very helpful video. If you follow this video, you can do this in less than 90 min (including vacuuming out all the lint and dust). For mine, the nuts on the rollers in the back were very loose and the ones in the front were so tight they were hard to remove (Samsung should consider threadlocker and using a standard torque). You may have trouble tightening the ones in the back without removing the back (consider threadlocker, which helps prevent loosening caused by stress and vibration, if you aren't able to tighten the nuts fully).

Excellent job. The back section with the two rollers can be taken out of the unit by removing seven screws in the back plus the exhaust port screw and then carefully lifting it up as you separate it from the stove unit at the bottom right -- it's tight but can be done. (The stove is attached to the bottom only at the front so you can move the rear of it a bit.) Then you can much more easily access the rollers, which were greatly overtightened at the factory -- I used a short water pipe on my 3/8" breaker bar to break the nuts loose as I had no luck simply tapping with a hammer. As soon as they are broken free the nuts easily spin off by hand. The socket size is 17 mm not 5/8" (too small). The tightness seems due to the distortion of the washers on both sides of the flimsy frame. The frame bent slightly at one roller location as I was forcing the nut loose and needed to be flexed back into its original position. I believe this is not a big problem because the drum should keep the rollers in proper orientation. The aluminum unit in the front at the bottom that joins the screen filter to the blower needs to be inside the frame at the bottom; the frame is actually bent outward a bit at that point. The only way it can be secured to the blower is to attach this unit before completing the installation of the front frame piece with its four screws because it needs to be raised up onto the rectangular port at the filter side and the frame gets in the way at the blower side.

Thank you so much for your 'exacting' video. I know how to do 'stuff', and this is perfect for those giving themselves a try. (Just got this machine today from Craigslist free (broken belt I'm sure, but they wanted a 'spankin' new one). Ordered your kit as well, thanks for that...too.
