- Today I'm in Peterborough, ON taking on Marty Moo's '20 Minute Challenge' in an attempt to win my fourth t-shirt of the trip! I'm joined by a good friend and Canada's #1 ranked Major League Eater; Darrien Thomas.
This challenge costs around $20 and although it's not free if you finish inside the allotted twenty minute time limit, you do get a snap on the wall of fame and most importantly; a snazzy t-shirt!

Q: How come you don’t get fat?
A: I eat like this for 1 hour of a 168 hour long week. In simple terms, I eat at caloric maintenance over the course of time, meaning I don’t gain weight. If you're interested in learning more, see the ‘But How Come You're Not Fat' and 'It Was Just A Normal Day...' videos available on my channel.
Q: Don’t you worry about your health?
A: Not in particular. I’m active. I eat nutrient dense foods five days a week. And, I get quarterly bloods done, amongst other health checks.

NB: I'm a bit bored of a small minority of people whining about the fact that not every challenge is 'hard enough'. I'm here to do every food challenge I can. My content is episodic, twice weekly and for me the entertainment comes from showing all the food challenges that exist, the story, the engagement with the staff. If I only did 'tough challenges' I'd have 8 videos on my channel, not 500+. If you want to see people eat until they almost pop and that alone, then this isn't the channel for you.

Over my years of RUclips I’ve noticed so many times Canadians are very similar to us Brits in terms of dry humour/sarcasm

I could do it. But, not 20 minutes. Maybe 30 minutes or so.
Yeah, I might have a shot, but I’d need more than 20mins. Doesn’t seem completely impossible though.
Yeah I mean, The look on Adam's face was like.... Just an average meal out with his buddy lol He still cleared it in just over 8 mins eating at a snails pace, His buddy was a little faster but you could see they were both like yeah just a casual meal. Easiest challenge I've seen by far that's for sure!

I hope you someday consider a German tour, with all sorts of regional traditional foodchallenges. The time september-october is best for that since both the north (kale and sausage) and the south (octoberfest) have their traditional events going :D
Personally i would love to travel to germany sometime, not only for the food but also the castles and nature just seems beautiful, love form sweden :D

My only point is The Beard didn’t look like was trying, he looked like he was enjoying a nice lunch. “Hmmm is this real poutine? (the question of the trip).” Darrien was funny (the asmr bit, lol) and had a pretty good appetite. I’m glad he was paced to a nice record time by his friend and colleague.
