Thanks for posting this! I've thought I have heard it all so this is a gem! Tony was/is a genius. My trio, which is a revolving door of players, always plays Sister Cheryl and no matter who plays it with me they are always in love with the song. I often wondered how other players like, Ron Carter, played with him when those cymbals were just washing out all over the place. Play or Die is one of my favorite Tony albums. So quirky and fun.

You and Mulgrew were eating breakfast while me and Pura Fe ( singer) were as well. I was on tour with the Pura Fe Trio. I didn't recognize you or Mulgrew at all and struck up a conversation with you two about who you were and where you were playing. You said " Well, my name is Ron Carter" and I felt like a knucklehead! Mulgrew also introduced himself and I was floored. You graciously answered some questions I had even though you were trying to eat. I'll never forget that. Thank you for your amazing music and your kindness!

Wow. I didn't know this existed. I was Drum Dept Manager at Wurlitzer when we hosted Tony in Oct of 1982.
