Oh my gosh. It’s so beautiful. I absolutely LOVE this fragrance!! Such a creamy sweet slightly nutty rosy sandalwood. So beautiful. Toooooo many sprays lol. Get compliments EVERY TIME I wear it!! A complete masterpiece. Revisit it in the spring summer.

I recently purchased a sample of this and I AM IN LOVE! I couldnt stop smelling myself. It smells soo good and my partner said I smelled good in it. I didn’t pair it with anything else.
I do not smell any moth-ball or bus seats.

Honestly, if you put it in a gorgeous blush pink luxury bottle and charge $300-400 for it, fragcomm is going to lose their minds trying to love it, regardless of the scent. (Looking at you, Delina.) It’s perfectly engineered for hype. Expecting a massive Guidance declutter in 3 months.

I liked it, it was okay for me, I didn’t love it, and wasn’t interested in purchasing it. But then, I received compliments like crazy about how good I smelled when I tested it and went to meet some people after. The scent rubbed off from my arm (where I sprayed the tester), to the sleeve of my blouse. And I wore the same blouse a few days later to a casual family gathering, and again, received compliments! A male cousin asked me what it was so he could get it for his wife. He almost didn’t believe me when I told him I wasn’t actually wearing perfume that day, it was a perfume I was testing days earlier that accidentally got on my blouse. Such a longevity and sillage beast. It’s making me consider getting a 50ml bottle. I have never gotten so many enthusiastic compliments over a perfume in my life. It’s crazy. I wish I could smell what they were smelling. To me it’s a pleasant sandalwood-pudding creamy-powdery scent with the tiniest pinch of salt from the ambergris.
Girl you tripping, guidance is phenomenal. It smells like heaven when it dries down, it's just beautiful. I would be intrigued to know if you changed your mind later.

I’m only in the first 10 seconds of your video and I wish I saw your video BEFORE I blind bought the 100ml. I learned my lesson. This ends my blind buy experience. That opening note is sooooo funky and the way you described it is exactly what I smelled. Especially, the scent of the wash rag & moth balls. I feel so much better that someone else feels the same because as you said there were no negative reviews.

Guidance is polarising but it’s my biggest obsession, it doesn’t seem as strong to me now I’m used to it, the opening is quite sour but after 20mins people think it’s quite sweet and powdery. I hardly venture out of the house as I work from home but 3 weeks ago I went shopping and while I left a shop these 2 ladies where saying “excuse me, excuse me” literally out of breath 😂 they said we’ve been chasing you “ you smell absolutely unreal, we need to know what it is”.
I guess it’s like catnip for some and kryptonite for others.
I put a little in a decant on my side table when I first had, then I got obsessed I had to spray everyday. Hopefully you may grow to love if not send it my way lol

It's the Hazelnut note in Guidance that I find off-putting and it's too strong.. but besides that it's a beautiful fragrance. Amouage is one of the highest quality fragrance houses around today. Try some of their other fragrances.. they are divine 💓 Happy New Year 🌠🎄🌸

I love your description and I completely agree that there is something offputting in the fragrance. I’m laughing at the moldy wash rag. Luckily I didn’t get that. I get a creamy , salty nutty floral but there was a pencil shaving note in it for me that I couldn’t get out of my
Nose. I don’t personally think it smells dirty. Sometimes people say sandalwood can smell like pickles or vinegar so maybe that’s what threw you off??? 😢sorry it didn’t work out.

Yes. I smell the pickle juice vinegar note as well and it doesn’t go away…I still like it though 😂
Thank you for the Honest video. I feel the same. I wanted to love this fragrance. It's weird. I liked the scent that lingered in the envelope that my sample came in (mixed with Bianco Latte). But this on my skin is not right. Those that say this needs to be layered....why would I spend $360 for a grafrance that MUST be layered. No thanks.

I so wish I had seen this video before I bought it. I paid full price for it (which I'm unable to return) and this scent is definitely NOT for me 😔 I tried to like it....I just can't do it.

@CoffeePlease. I'd say definitely a coin toss. This is one that you need to sample first. It's a beast mode smell too...does not take much at all!
Thanks for being honest. I have literally seen influencers first call it out for its funkiness and then retract it from pressure or whatever and say….oh I didn’t understand it at first but it actually nice. Whatevs. I don’t want to work hard to like something, you know? The full bottle is almost $400 with taxes and the smaller one isn’t chump change either. There are a lot of pretty and gorgeous perfumes out there. Even other pink ones😂 ( not just Delina). Can you believe they now have a $520 dollar Extrait of this and influencers already hyping it up saying it “fixes“ whatever was giving the funk in the OG. No thanks and why were they hyping it before about all the compliments with no mention that some people may find it funky. I unsubscribed from so many after that. I don’t need random compliments. I need to love it first. To think I thought something was wrong with my nose when everyone else singing high praise. Sheesh. It was obviously enough people that they decided to make a whole new version just 1 year after launching.
😂$250 for stAnk in a pretty bottle makes a great vanity table dust catcher. That coat is gonna need an old-fashioned waRshing. I bought it today because of so many recommendations here on RUclips. I went to Neiman’s, I smelled it and I thought it was sweet and good. The sales lady sold me the big bottle. When I got home my husband told me he doesn’t like it at all and to return it before I open it. I will do that tomorrow for sure. I keep smelling it on my hand even though I sprayed it 8 hours ago. It’s just a sweet powdery old grandma smell but that’s it. It didn’t get any better since I sprayed it.

Girl let me tell you. I went to Paris 7 months ago. I sprayed a sample of this on a paper and put in in my purse. I did not like the way it smelled at all. Like I hated it, made me sick. Well , my purse STILL smells like it. I can’t stop smelling it and for some reason I want to buy it now. My purse smells so good now 😂

It’s best to layer it with either clean reserve sparkling sugar or Kayali Vanilla.. you definitely need to layer it for sure.

Sooo damn funny! Had me BTFU! The coochie comment! 💀 I am a guy and I wear this and it's a crowd pleaser on me. Men and Women compliment me on it every single time. It's a creamy vanilla sandalwood on me. But I can totally see it being different and not good on some. On paper I didn't like it. I'm curious if you ever gave it another chance or got rid of it. Update us 😂😂

Amouage is so expensive, it is soooooo important to test on the skin many days before you take the decision to buy it. I remember the first time I tried this fragrance on my skin, I didn`t enjoy it at all, and it is so long lasting…… After some months I tried again on my skin ( due to the hype… ) and I enjoyed, but not enough for me to purchased it, gave me a little bit of main stream sweet nutty scent like Girl Of Now edp from Elie Saab. They do not smell the same at all, I meant that nutty sweetness that lingers, the same vibe.

Amouage to me as a whole is a big no 😂. I had the same experience you did! Im mad you wore it out lmaoo for me it was a SCRUBBER! It actually made me nauseous🤷🏻♀️. I really believe its the olibanum note that ruins it. Ive tried other fragrances with that note & have had the same experience. It gives stuff that been put away in a dusty basement for a while😂😂

I was a no at first, second and third sniff on guidance. I would not write off the whole house though. Amouage under Chris Chong as creative director had some legendary gorgeously girly scents. Try samples or decants of Amouage Lilac Love, Honor Woman, or Love Tuberose. These are great entry levels to niche. Beautiful florals and gourmands interesting enough to appreciate non-linear perfumes but also subtle enough for work and daily stuff! I also like their diva ones like Epic, Memoir or Interlude woman but I can see those being a challenge for some people unless you’ve trained your nose a bit and go to BIG diva events on the regular.
Edit: the opening was ick for Guidance but the mid was nicer and more floral. The dry down was ok but some of the funk came back periodically as a subtle underbelly like I’ve been sitting on a wet towel and just got up.

I’m always hesitant about blind buy with fragrances. Because some perfumes perform differently on everyone. I always like to go and test a fragrance on my skin first before I buy it online. That happens to me once. And also, everyone is different when it comes to scents notes in perfumes. It’s a risk when you blind buy.
The opening is so strong and sour. That rancid sour note is present before contact with the skin. It makes me mad because I also wanted to love it based on the reviews and Quentin Bisch being the perfumer. Thankful I only got the sample from Scentbird, when they had it.

See I just found out about those two over the summer…I was all the was out of the loop…I like Delina & 540 but one time I sprayed on 540 I felt like I smelled like a kid that spilt her juice box all over her…that was the one time I wasn’t feeling it 😂

Don't buy if you are obsessed with attention from people. I hot a sample and it is great. People may not compliment you because they may think you are out of their league. It depends on where you go and the mental state of the people at the time.

Look i got it and returned next day, its really different fragrance but it's really weird smell that you don't know what this is lol... I almost shook with this smell in my skin. Butttttttt for sure this is a strong fragrance more that 24 hours, I wash my arms with like 5 time with soap and it doesn't go away lol... my husband was laughing 😃 telling me is inside your skin that is not going away for nothing.

Amouage Honor woman is a lot better and love tuberous. I would definitely say get the samples from the site. That’s what I did. Buy samples first before you blind buy again 😂

I’m not really into Oud at all but it was blind buy because RUclips kept saying how good and sweet it was. To me it’s not sweet but when I layer it with Fancy.. now we talking.. 😂 😂 no more Oud for me though.. first and last Oud purchase 😂

I got a sample of Guidance based on the hype and absolutely hated it. Wayyy too strong. Can’t even describe the smell. Nothing was as I expected. Couldn’t scrub it off fast enough. Glad I only paid for a sample.

Fragcomm isn’t going to be honest. I mean some are more honest than others but overall they just want to sell perfume. Another perfume that is being hyped is the new Kayali rock candy and that one is a stinky patchouli bomb. But no one will say it out loud 😂
