43:39 it makes me wonder if God waiting until David and Bathsheba were qualified in repentance before sending Solomon to them. We all know what a milestone that first big repentance is after adult baptism and how it humbles us as Christians. I imagine that for David and Bathsheba it would have been similar because they were so devoted to God.... He wastes nothing. Everything will be for His Glory.

🤦♀️😩😩😩😩😩😩This was for me. Stop calling myself what I did, this last thing I did wrecked me to the core!! I felt that everything was stripped from me as punishment so didn’t feel like I should ask God for anything because I deserved it. Thank you for this word. He still calls me DAUGHTER😭😭😭 Help me to remove the shackles of guilt and shame and everything else in this black trash bag, give it to Him and receive His love for me. I’ve walked with my head down for over a year. I want to be free!

I enjoyed this study. However, there is something I need to point out. Bathsheba was not on her roof. David was. She was in a the place woman go to purify themselves after they menstrate or give birth. This was not out in the open. Also, it has been taught that Bathsheba was a willing participant. But think about it. The King sends his men to come fetch you. Can you say no? No! They bring you to the King's bedroom. Is there ANYONE you can cry out to for help? No! One more reason for Ahithophel to be angry at David. He raped her. She had no choice but to cooperate with him because there was no one for she to cry out to.
