I agreed but also disagree, I am a young successful dressage rider and I’m not rich at all, I have had to train my small thoroughbred mare to become a dressage horse. You would never expect her to be one 😂
Cam Rockwell wow that’s actually great, I’m happy for you! But it’s very rare that people become successful (successful meaning that you can make a living by horse riding) who didn‘t come from rich families or were born into a horse riding family. And it also requires money to even be able to buy and care for a horse, and if you can’t afford that you have even smaller chances
mvx thank you!! And I know!! Sometimes I feel like the industry, especially the dressage community, is rigged. There are so many talented riders out there that are stuck doing basic things because they can’t afford all of these expensive horses and can’t go to expensive shows. I get annoyed seeing people who have money but barely know how to ride buy these amazing high level horses and than go kinda of far because their horse and trainer are amazing. Or you see those fancy horses start to loose their talent because they aren’t being worked to their potential.
