Still remember the days I played trumpet at our brass band when I was only 10 or 11. This was really hard for me in the beginning, but I still love this piece until today lol.
I’m playing this now my freshman year (1st trombone) and it’s my favorite song out of all the ones I’ve ever played like wow it’s just so good and amazing and cool and fun plus 12/8 is the best time signature

I played first flute part but I wasn't first chair but playing this was great fun for my section we practiced this song all class period and we could nail it very well, our problem was getting everyone to that point and that to us, it never sounded perfect, there was always something more we could do

@VictorSchmits Ieder heeft zo zijn versie, dat snap ik (aangezien iedere dirigent zelf kan bepalen hóé het stuk wordt gespeeld). Vandaar dat ik kloppen ook tussen aanhalingstekens heb gezet! Heb dit stuk namelijk zelf met Carl Wittrock gespeeld en toen klonk het gewoon anders.
Ik heb het gespeeld met vorige fanfare. Soeel normaal bugel, maar door omstandigheden heb ik in die periode het slagwerk ondersteund op de concert bas trom. Vind het en pracht stuk.
Ik kan het alleen maar met je eens zijn. 6.20 bezorgt me ook altijd kippevel. Hoewel het niet al te uitdagend is voor slagwerk, slaagt onze drummer er toch in om het op minuut 1:44 enorm te vertragen. Ik speel basklarinet en dan wordt het vrij moeilijk om de basritmes te spelen ;-)
@@chanceferrell3139 nice, I play trumpet too. My orchestra played this like a year ago, when I mainly played 3rd trumpet, but now I primarily play the 2nd and sometimes 1st trumpet. I hope we will play this again one time so I can play a lead part.
Sorry dat ik het zeg, voor jou jammer voor mij een geluk. Ik vind dit persoonlijk meer een brassband stuk. Voor harmonie zijn er eigenstukken die daar veel beter bij passen. Een groot voorbeeld, het thema van de Avatar film(blauwe figuren) kan niet door een brassband worden gespeeld maar een harmonie is hier prachtig bij. Gelukkig geen hobo hier dus
