TBH: I missed a lot of Batista’s promos, so, I could be mistaken, but I def saw Nigel in the past year and he just sounds maniacal when calling Bryan a clam digger and here he just sounds obsessed to me. Just my observation… Whatever!!!

Nigel is a legend, for me he was a hero in his ROH days. I feel he should have full run in AEW. Finally getting his flowers and showing his full potential on a major Wrstling promotion. This promo was emotional.

Nigel has done a great job at perpetuating this vindication story on commentary and has delivered with his recent promos. This takes long term storytelling to another level. They had some fantastic matches in ROH and there’s a nice compilation on the ROH app.

There was, Taker had seemingly rode off into the sunset the previous year. Cena just wanted to poke and prod someone he knew wasn't going to answer him. But hey, when a punk calls you out, you eventually come to whoop that ass when everyone can see. Should be the same between Nigel and Bryan on Wednesday.

@@TriViuM2k22 Danielson’s run is destined to be short. Nigel’s challenge ISN’T for the title, it’s just a grudge match. Thus, the best result IMO would be Nigel winning (but he doesn’t get the belt) and then Christian cashes in his contract and beats Danielson for the title after all of Nigel’s hard work.
All "jokes" aside... i don't think many realize how undertalented Nigel McGuinness was, or is.... The fact he did what he was able to do that on All-IN after that many years of NOT wrestling. Truly impressive. If this guy can still go at it again, especially again D Bryan, i am ALL FOR IT!

Dude is a really solid promo
For those saying Danielson should’ve cut a promo, the whole intrigue is “will he show up at Arthur Ashe to wrestle Nigel”, why would he cut a promo and confirm he’s coming? It ruins the return at Grand Slam and ruins Mox vs Darby. I see this match being the opener with Danielson coming back with a vengeance and Danielson confronting Moxley after the main event.
