We are surrounded by the beauty here in the Bavarian Alps and are really enjoying spending more time in nature since we moved to Germany. We wanted to share some of that beauty with you. May this video inspire you to also enjoy the beauty that surrounds you in your own life, to take time to stop and let nature speak to you. It can provide such peace, rest, and hope no matter where you live.

This is an exceptionally beautiful video, not just from a camera but from your heart. Prize-worthy! I'm from Nebraska, have lived in Germany over 50 years and have visited Bavaria numerous times. You capture the atmosphere perfectly, not ust with this video but the others as well. I look forward to each of your videos...
Thank you so very much, Mary. I’m glad you could see my heart in this video because that’s exactly where it came from. It may not be as popular as our other videos (time will tell) but I don’t care. I enjoyed making it and that’s what matters! And so cool you’re an American who lives in Germany! Did you marry a German guy or come for college? Or how did you get here?
Nice, there is a saying in german "Wohnen (Leben) wo andere Urlaub machen" " to live where others go for vacation?" your video is first class imagefilm for your region
Thanks Oliver 🙏🏻.
@@MyMerryMessyGermanLife Thats the slogan from my city too ;-) Lindau (Bodensee)
It is an honor to have you in Germany!
Awe thank you! 💖🙏🏻
What an excellent composition of lovely footage that doesn‘t need narration. It is like a professional advertisement for your region.
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Some say spring is the very best time of the year in Germany. It's so georgeous to see your kids out n the nature, being able to go for a short walk right into the mountains. that's a dream you live.
You captured the beauty of nature so right, this is heartwarming 💖
Thank you, Brigitte. 💖
BEST video of you I´ve seen so far! All the others are great too, but this one left me sheer speechless because of its mood, music, pictures, lyrics (quotes), the "actors" and overall beauty! Thanks a lot for this great impression of your "new" life, your family, surroundings and mindset! Welcome to germany and thank you for beeing here!💖
Awe thank you so much! What nice things you wrote. 💖
I saw all your videos about your moving to Germany,i love it.You`re a very nice family. When you have time in summer, you must visit Austria (Salzburg, the Salzkammergut,Vienna, the south of Styria,Carinthia etc...We have so beautiful Landscapes there.Greetings from Austria
Hallo Andreas! Yes Austria is incredibly beautiful! We are a short drive from Salzburg so we plan to go there very soon. Kevin and I have seen Salzburg and Vienna before and we fell in love!
This is a piece of art! The music, the pictures... everything fits! As if it was made by a world class director 😍
I agree!
Awe thanks Jörg! It isn’t world class, I keep seeing mistakes, but oh well.
@@MyMerryMessyGermanLife There is a saying, freely translated: "An artist isn't a real artist when being satisfied with the own work". So, most people creating artsy stuff are their very first and worse critics. Your video is really heartwarming and of a very relaxing harmony! Welldone!
The beginning of spring is always something special in the mountains. The quiet gurgling and trickling of melt water indicates the awakening of nature and gives new strength and a happy mood every time. - Cheers, Heinz
Very poetically said, Heinz! Yes indeed, it’s a magical time!
How beautyful...the weather,the landscape,and the family !
Thank you! Yes it is so beautiful here.
So lovely you’re living in a fairytale setting! Gorgeous! This little video could be used as an advertisement to go onto vacation in your area !
Haha that’d be fun! Maybe they’ll hire us!
Yes. Even germans go to vacation in this area 😉
Yes and I would be one of them ! As a kid from age 3-8 I went every year to Mittenwald with my grandparents for two weeks and I definitely would like to go back there and see the landscape! Haven’t been there in over 20 years! But I’ll be in Unterfranken in July to visit my best friend

@@Humpelstilzchen Yes it’s beautiful there and im thinking about moving there in a few years because I love it there !
Don't you EVER apologize for "poor footage"! I'm SERIOUS. Your Channel reflects the perception of colour, harmony and beauty in the best way I've seen so far. Truly.
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️
So pretty. And its just one facette of this beautiful country we call home
Yes just one small part of a very beautiful country.
So many places to visit! I don't think we will ever run out of cool places to see.
Germany is so pretty!!
And this is only a very small part of it!
@@MyMerryMessyGermanLife You're right, there's a lot more to see and experience here. I've been living here my whole life and my parents made trips nearly every weekend to a different youthhostel with us (me and my brother) and there are still places that I've never seen before where I can travel now that I'm 40 years old (once the corona thing is over) with my husband. :-)

@@MyMerryMessyGermanLife Well, it's a good thing to learn a lot about geograpy ;-P. When I was at the age of 19 we took part in a guided bus tour through Australia and at the age of 21 I visited the USA Westcoast.
Not everywhere. Go to the "Ruhr- Gebiet" in the North-East of Düsseldorf/Cologne. There is mutch less beauty in the landscape. Das Alpenvorland ist wunderschön.
Wow.
What a glorious film.
Felt way longer than the 5 minutes it is. Mesmerizing.

Magnificent. Your best video so fair. 😍👍🏻Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to what is yet to come. 😉
Thank you, Marco! 🙏🏻
Ihr wohnt wunderschön.. Toll, wünsch euch viele glückliche Momente
Danke shön!
Most people describe snowy winters as periods of death in nature, but this is not how I experience it. The way I see it is that spring is the time when nature works the hardest. Summer is the time of ripening for the fall harvest requiring nature’s sharp nurturing attention. Fall is when nature begins to catch it’s breath, to relax and breathe. This is the time of year when the air requires joy. Finally it is winter and nature experiences it’s well deserved vacation. Time to sleep, to rage, to celebrate, to explore the possibilities of change. Thank you for this video.
Oh that is so beautiful, thank you for sharing!
So poetic and warm Soul making, thanks🌹

Lovely! I am moving to Germany in June, and am so excited to explore this country. Thank you for sharing your journey, and the sights of Bavaria.
Oh great! Hope you enjoy moving here too.
Do you also go to Bavaria? Or do you explore the other beauties of Germany
@@maxmustermann611 No, I will be in Berlin, but I have plenty of plans to see the rest when travel is possible. I love Hamburg, Bremen and the Mosel valley from what I've seen so far.
@@deannaknudsen5462 The Berlin area is very different from Bavaria, but nevertheless beautiful. My husband and I once went from Dresden to Usedom by bike and I really loved the landscape in Brandenburg. Acres and acres of woods and flat land and a feeling of freedom and space. And the Spreewald is such a nice place to go on vacation.
A beautiful video, I loved how you used quotes to underline the atmosphere and context! Really makes me feel Heim- and Fernweh at the same time (I was born in Munich but do not live there anymore).
Glad you liked those quotes! I thought they were beautiful. Are you still living in Germany?
You have a special talent to capture the beauty around you and your family. Thank you for sharing this private moments with us. I'm looking forward to the summer and autumn edition.
Thank you so much 💖
Stop this, now I'm homesick. Even though I was sent to Germany in 1983, I've always considered Germany my true home. Keep the videos coming.
Did you come with the military? I hope someday you can make it back. It's been worth it for us!
@@MyMerryMessyGermanLife Yes. I wasn't supposed to go to Germany, only one guy in my basic training class had a guaranteed contract for Germany. What happen was the Soviet Union, so The Army decided to send all of us to Germany early because we were Pershing Nuclear Missile Crewmembers and the SSSR didn't want the deployment of the new version of Pershing, so my class was the first Army class to be sent to another country as a whole during peace time. Hopefully I can visit Germany in 2022 or 2023.
besides the beautiful art you created with the music and the pictures, i always be happy for your children - it looks like they have the freedom to explore the world ... !
Yes! Seeing them laugh and run and explore makes us happy, too.

As I kid I went to Bavaria and Austria nearly every holiday we had. I thought my parents were obsessed wirh the alps. I considering myself more an ocean person, but more northern sea (I always tell people that I am from viking ancestry :D) Seeing your beauiful video made me wanna visit the alps again. Thank you for that. :)
Love that. I really want to get up to the North Sea and show the kids!
@@MyMerryMessyGermanLife It's really beautiful. Do not necessarily go to Sylt - it's very "posh" and expensive. Rather visit Amrum ot Föhr. But I really recommend one of the eat frisian Islands, as most of them are car free. You can rent bicycles there or you can bring your own. Some of them have camping sites and you can spend your holidays in a tent.
I could sit for hours on a bench watching the waves, the seagulls, Cargoships passing by, smell the scent of the salty air, feel the cool breeze on my skin, listening to the sound of the waves. Oh, I really miss it.
@@MyMerryMessyGermanLife The North is different from the South. As Marie said, you also could visit the islands ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_islands_of_Germany ) or - this would be something just a few people do - visit a Hallig ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halligen ). Some of them have hostels. On RUclips you can find reports about them, for example Hallig Hooge.

2. Geisterberg Alpendorf St. Johann im Pongau(careful there is 2 St. Johann, one in Tirol, one im Pongau)
