    Dr. Berg talks about the best tip for atrial fib. This is based on the book, Beat Your A-Fib by Steve Ryan Ph.D. This condition is usually triggered by a magnesium deficiency. It can also be a potassium deficiency. However, it is difficult to determine these mineral differences because of where most of the minerals are located - inside the cell. It is recommended to take a type of magnesium called angstrom, which is 1 million times smaller than other forms.

    Dr. Berg, my mother has Afib, has had one ablation 10 years ago. Her afib is back again and she is on beta blocker and may need another ablation. I have been trying to make her take magnesium but she refuses. She's on proton pump inhibitors and that further depletes magnesium due to low stomach acid.
    Guess what I made her watch your video today and now she will go and buy a magnesium supplement tomorrow! Thanks!!!

  • @Percyfaith7
    @Percyfaith7 7 лет назад +83

    Thank you Dr. Berg for explaining that Afib is an electrical problem with the Heart.
    -Electrolytes,- magnesium and potassium are needed in the cells. Vegetables have these but you may need more.
    -A very acid stomach is needed to absorb magnesium.
    -To much calcium can be problematic that is why doctors prescribe a calcium blocker.
    -Low Vit D level will prevent the absorption of both calcium and magnesium, try Angtrom brand of Magnesium due to small particles , increase salads and veggies for potassium.

Also, went low carb high fat.....feel freaking fabulous. A good nutrition plan will give you back your health. The real problem is drs have to follow standard of care guidelines which don’t include dietary advice.

      @Linda Scott In order to absorb enough potassium, one needs a good amount of salt, otherwise the potassium gets waisted. Avocados are a great source of potassium and one can add enough salt to it. Or have a big green salad with lamb's lettuce for example.

    I've had Afib for about 9 years Six cardioversions and 2 heart ablations. Female, 70. I never had Afib all the time, only episodes that required treatment when they wouldn't go away on their own. At times there were years between episodes. What really helped me was taking, magnesium (or using magnesium oil spray) plus taurine and L-arginine. They kick it out within 24 hours so now I'm on a regular regimen. And make sure you're getting at least 8 glasses of water per day because it helps the m, t, and a assimilate properly in your body.

    My cardiologist years ago had me take a blood test and he tested for magnesium, potassium and vitamin d. They were so low it concerned him and scared me. I was overweight by about 25 pounds. My afib was getting worse. So now today, I take Mag, Potassium and vitamin D with other vitamins and iodine. I dropped 25 pounds and I only get a flutter maybe once or twice a year. Oh and I stopped the sodas and drink water now. My point is for me--my afib has been drastically curbed since I did these things. Its been a rough 4 years but if I can do it, anyone can. No more drugs for me ether. DO what Dr. Berg says.I did.

So this lead to the decision to have the ablation. So far I’m in sinus rhythm and haven’t had any episodes.
      I had a monitor in august that monitored my heart rate it jumped around low as 83 to max of 215 beats That was the ultimate decision so get my ablation as well. When I met the electrocardio Dr he was concerned that I’d been in Afib to ling. ,,,, but so far so good. 70% of the time it only takes one surgery. And 30% of the time they’ll need to perform a 2nd surgery.

I have videos on my channel demonstrating this. I don’t recommend this method to everyone however. I’m still not on any medication as at the time blood thinners at my age 45 was considered more of a risk. I’m now 51 but probably should’ve reviewed again by my cardiologist.
