Top 6 Delivery Robots - Self Driving (Autonomous) Delivery Robots
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 15 авг 2024
- Meet the autonomous delivery robots which are shaping the future of food delivery. These could also be used during coronavirus when everbody is staying home.
Starship
A six-wheeled ground drone from Starship Technologies. Equipped with a sensor suite that includes cameras, GPS and inertial measurement units, the robot can deliver items within a 6km radius. It has a large compartment to hold deliveries equivalent to the size of two grocery bags with a maximum weight of 10kg. Once the robot has arrived at the customer, the compartment is opened using a unique code generated after placing the order from a smartphone app. In March 2017, Dominos entered into a partnership with Starship Technologies to use the latter's robots as "personal delivery devices" The company plans to distribute thousands of robots across campuses around the world by 2019.
Kiwi
Kiwi is an autonomous delivery robot that picks up and delivers food and personal-care items within a roughly 1.6 square kilometers area centered around campus. The robot uses Deep Learning to correctly interpret data gathered from its sensors and to make intelligent decisions that ensure a fast, safe and cost-efficient delivery. It can correctly identify traffic lights in order to cross streets and detect objects and obstacles to avoid collisions in a safe, reliable manner.
Robomart
Robomart, a literally little mini-mart on wheels. It is engineered with cutting-edge technology, including driverless tech for autonomy and teleoperations, an RFID and computer vision-based checkout-free system, and purpose-built refrigeration and temperature control. The bots are now used by Grocery store chain, Stop & Shop to deliver groceries to its customers. When customers want to buy some groceries, they simply tap a button in a smartphone app to request the nearest robomart. Once it arrives, they head outside, unlock the doors, and pick the products they want. Robomart tracks what customers have taken using patent-pending "grab and go" checkout-free technology and will charge them and send a receipt accordingly.
TeleRetail Robot
Using artificial intelligence to automate local logistics and minimize the ecological footprint of transportation, TeleRetail wants to help Main Street shops and small businesses to compete with major e-commerce companies like Amazon. The robot is made by the Swiss startup TeleRetail founded in 2014 by Torsten Scholl with the aim of solving the logistical problems of local businesses. With its 84 centimeter width and capability to carry up to 35 kilograms payloads, the robot is designed to travel on sidewalks, covering long distances up to about 80 kilometers
Amazon Scout
Entering the race of autonomous delivery robots is nonother than the e-commerce giant, Amazon. Amazon Scout, a six-wheeled self-driving delivery machine that is "the size of a small cooler". Walking at a human pace, Scout uses self-driving technology to navigate through neighborhoods to deliver packages to Amazon Prime Customers. The vehicle appears large enough to accommodate small and medium-sized parcels, but no word yet on what's under the hood.
FedEx SameDay Bot
So far, FedEx SameDay Bot is the latest of a long line of last-mile delivery robots that transport small packages from shops or local distribution centers directly to consumers. FedEx says it will refine it, and then begin deployment as soon as the company’s engineers are satisfied with its performance. The bot is being developed by FedEx in collaboration with DEKA Development & Research Corp., the company behind mobility device iBot. It features pedestrian-safe tech, multiple cameras, Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) and machine learning to help it detect and avoid obstacles, and navigate uneven surfaces.
Updates:
Domino pizza chain announced that it has entered into a partnership with Nuro, a robotics delivery startup, to test using its robots to transport pizzas from a store in Houston.

The best one still has to be designed
I liked ALL of the Kiwibots; but, the PRODUCE Robot Van was incredible! Imagine, have "cold" fresh vegetable & fruit coming to your neighborhood on certain days. My mother (82 yrs. young) said, that it would be a delight to shop at that Robot Van because it reminded her of the FARMER MARKETS! :-D
There all so cute. I just wanna keep them safe and make sure they get to there destination safe.
Robo simp
I definitely want to kick over these job theifs.
Why don't they design something useful like a toilet cleaning robot?
Cute, if you think a picnic cooler on wheels is cute.
I respect it ill fight any cocky mf who think they could rob WALL-E
@@jamisojo get skill and stop crying. the robot does a better job than you
The Fedex bot turned that corner like a BOSS.
I liked Starship Tech's best. The only company thoughtful enough to alert pedestrians in heavily walked, and crowded intersections using a well placed flag. Whether or not we like it, we humans are somewhat like deers, who work best in a flat environment, and who tend to ignore "anomalies," that don't fit into our "flat space," especially when "maxed out" as in walking through a crowd in a heavily walked intersection. Just like the deer who is easily picked off by hunters in tree-stands, so to will pedestrians often stumble over a rolling beer cooler trying to navigate itself through a heavily walked intersection, with no eye-height flag. Which ever company is found to be best at meeting such human needs, will be found to be the most "needed" company. I agree with the Starship engineers, that attempts to fly merchandise overhead using the whirring blades of drones, totally ignores the very human need for safety from such overhead accidents waiting to happen. Sensible robots that are conscientiously designed with human safety first will take the day.
I want it but i live in uae
2:50
Human: Hey! 😄
Robot: Yeah whatever, take your food 😒
Also they are so cute 😊
Hannon lol! The eyes 😂
Hannon lmao
Ahh I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks robots are cute 😅
Those are cool..i like FedEx one best. This won't out drivers out of work, it will make their jobs easier. This technology is years behind replacing drivers.
0:00 Starship delivery bot

Thx
I don't know why, but that's robots are very cute
Whaoo FEDEX THE BEST
Fed ex bot looks to be the best one.
yess sirr!!
Wrong, starship robots are already on duty and the robot in the video is a old mudel.
@Sam Foster Eh, as long as it gets the job done...
Yeah
This system can be useful Only few Countries like Japan, Singapore, Finland but, Obviously not in USA
the dog's reaction at the end :)
Have been successfully using Starship since early 2019 in Milton Keynes, UK’s fastest growing city. Starship provide a fabulous app with swift delivery of groceries from two different stores. It’s absolutely the way ahead for eco-friendly local deliveries. Best of all, it’s here now and now established as part of everyday life.
Wow really? Didn't know it was already being used somewhere gotta check it out
More eco-friendly than a guy on a bike?
these are honestly helpful because of the pandemic
Hey brother
Python programmers tend to forget criminally inclined Jawas also live in suburbs.
They were not kidding when they said robots are replacing people.
These things have so many logistical problems. I wouldn't expect to have robots replacing delivery drivers for decades to come
Truthfully cars had the same if not more problems then these bots when they first came out it’s only a matter of time!!
there are thousands of job fields out there. just go to school. we dont need to valuable waste man power on walking boxes to doors.
@@sirashley2355 not everyone can afford school and not everyone wants an office job
@@sirashley2355 it sound so simple in your bubble world... sound like a valley girl living off parents ... never had to work... hello privilege
Starship is an amazing little robot.
The amazon and the FedEx one they are real great plus the other refrigerator it's awesome..
FedEx robot is lhe best
Playfully stateuns but fdc would love it. Staying safe as usual I'm certain. Go great offices.
Just a idea could be good for security watch in areas.
Best RUclips Video In The Universe :-D
FedEx was the only one whose speed came close to delivering ice cream (or pizza). It handled terrain the best. If a delivery boy traveled the speed those bots traveled, he would be fired. Any distance longer than 300 to 500 feet will be a problem. They need to travel with traffic, or ride a mother ship that can. Customers can walk to the store faster. People want deliveries when the weather and/or traffic is bad. That means freezing rain on doors and moving parts, pushing and balancing on snow, many icy roads, sidewalks, and slopes, and extreme cold (batteries), not to mention cracked asphalt, potholes, and broken concrete. Pizza delivery people supply their car and gas. These expensive robots will require a business to purchase at least one, if not a fleet.
Cool
The fed ex robot looks like the best one
why would you use a robot delivery service when the store is just 2 blocks away?
That's just what we need more machines taking over human jobs, I hate this stupid world
I agree
debatable
@Jeff Zhao it isn't saving the economy, it's saving large businesses who only want more money in their pockets.
so why you don't quit use phones and computers? go back to old style letter writing. machines are better in services and they don't complain. I dont care for people's basic easy job if machines took them away.
Me too. This world started going downhill in the 90s or maybe a little before nothing like the 50s 60s and 70s
They took my Jobbbbbb!
Notice how the creator just ignored your comment....😂 everyone needs to tip these robots over
@@luizfigo2420 a way to disrespect someone’s creation don’t blame the robot for being created.. there are so many freelancing jobs just look for it
Amazon scout will end up getting vandalized as soon as it enters the ghetto xD
@@bloggerswork899 wow the white civilization that lazy and spoiled wow
I feel that they're all good ideas in a world where everyone respected each other and each other's belongings. Plus all the kids will see our toys. Grow-up world.
sooo Japan then
😂😂
How fitting to have a text-to-speech program read out the texts!
Don’t forget there were TONS of Americans that claimed they’d never drive a car when they had a perfectly fine horse & buggy. It takes time to assimilate. Relax, you’re not stopping or slowing the future by whining 😎
Wow! Well said!
iMet, yeah, they thought cars were too fast, at 20 miles per hour!
The future is depopulation. That's what the wealthy want.
We’re is John Conner we know how this timeline ends!
Good to see image of bot coming to door to make delivery.
Mobility issues make going to the curb difficult.
Same mobility issues create the need for transportation services.
I like the moving trashcan~
That FedEx Bot look like an R2-D2 prototype.
So if I live in an apartment I have to get dressed, go downstairs, and outside where it may be cold or raining, and pickup. That’s not really delivery, would be acceptable only if it’s much cheaper. If it gets really popular will there be a crowd of 10-20 robots waiting on the sidewalk outside of every building..?
The fedex looks best
Robots move to your door, saying hello. Suddenly brings out rockets and missiles and blows up your house.
Sogood
Damn I would love to have something like that in Idaho. Will companies like ON semiconductor here in Nampa Idaho. since we're growing so fast so quickly when we have all these new electrical and electronic companies coming here I'd say about time they start getting stuff like this to us would be a great test ground for it
What about an old fashion currier service? Do they no longer exist?
@@finallythere100 ew
It might work in a town like Boise. But out in the wildlands of San Fran, the snatch and grabbers would be taking these left and right.
This is awesome. I hope they don’t attack that thing.
j'aime bien la musique de fond
Can you imagine delivering gourmet food in the middle of a virus lock down?
virus lockdown most people should cook
at home to be safer.
All of them are cool
Great.....i have to look out for robots while i'm driving now.
Was nice. Go albums Kodak moments are the bests
Awesome, now I hardly ever have to worry about my food possibly being picked at.
Don't nobody pick at your food y'all can stop running with that dumb stuff if they do you're in a bad area
@@karmadeluxe6069 "Nobody is touching your food" but also "If people are touching your food then you're in a bad area". Which one is it then? The truth is that it does happen. People admit to it and even upload that stupid shit for clout all the time.
You sound so dumb, no cap fr fr. Lmao 🤣🤣
so coool!
I like the bass line in the music.
So given the amount of people employed as Amazon and skip the dishes delivery etc, we're screwed when these become common.
This is Awesome
I Love Robots. :-D
FedEx dominates them all
To answer your question I was most skeptical until I saw the FedEx one, @ least around my neck of the woods. Agree with comments below about vandals & thieves. Ex for care givers who cannot leave the dwelling it would sure be useful if affordable to use.
They are all great for my business 2022 and More
I like it alot
I think thoses things are a thief's dream.
They have cameras so thieves will be instantly recognized
I assumed they have GPS trackers since the customer can track their positions on the app, so can the manufacturer.
So are banks. Thing is, there are cameras, security systems, and a judicial system ready to punish those who would steal from either.
@@BManStan1991
Yeah right, if they are caught. I don"t think the company would waste money to catch thieves. They will insure your package up to a certain amount and that's it. It will be like the post office, if your mail get lost, there response...so sorry...end of story.
@@fernandoespinosa1596 Cuz thieves can't wear masks right, dummy.
Is it just me who finds those rlly cute I want to have 1 lol
Love Kiwi
This maybe convenient . but if these robot's become available hundreds of delivery jobs would be gone for people depending on a delivery job.
There will be plenty of robot maintenance, repair and replacement jobs..
Peasants though the same about tractor
Just in the last 100 years we've used automation to replace elevator opeartors, long distance operators, and many more. New different jobs will be created.
i like all the robots
Starnet is very close.
I like fedEX
Imagine a RUclips robot that delivers play buttons😄😂
Would still take 2 years to get
yeah it’s pretty useful because of the pandemic
I can just imagine somebody tipping them over like a beached whale.
the kiwi bot appeared like someone legit duct taped a coleman cooler with some stickers onto a sick looking rc car XD and i almost think that the whole recognition on the camera was a lie
What if I have an emergency/ bathroom/ hospital/ arrested/ fell asleep/ accident etc..do you loose your money?
I liked FedEx best he could actually climb upstairs and it has good speed but if it used to starships technology and know how similar they are using LiDAR etc. etc. to navigate obstacles
Nice
the kiwibot is so cute don’t u think
The (sameday) is my personal fav. Also i still think someone could steal whatever is in it? 🤔
I imagine a bunch of teenagers just waiting in the bushes to jump a delivery robot to steal its stuff 😂
That’s why I hate humanity
Ok but that’s just theft... it’s nothing new, plus it’s a robot... it can’t feel pain, and it has security.
Jamium yeah I don’t care about the robot, just saying kids will probably do that
Nice text to speech
I like the look of the amazon scout
What happens if they roll over, is it Game Over?
If someone flips them
They're 400lb it's going to take more than one person to roll that thing over
However how that robot for use "wheels road off" it can there if happened snow on sidewalks some it stuck?
They all kickass
Driving toilets nice im so proud of this community
😂😂😂
Some looks always nice browns box company's best s. Go good things.
My area might get them next decade.
😀😀😀
I like the futuristic of these bots 👀
Now here the biggest issue what if some a hole steals the bot is there a tracker in the product
They all have GPS trackers
could be fixed by mounting a minigun on the top of the bot, or flamethrower~ why not both?
👊😂🗯THE ROWDY KIDS ARE GOING TO TO DESTROY & ROB THOSE THINGS ...
Arm them. lol
@@dougm3037
🤔💭 seriously think about it , they hijack everything else electronic ...
@@dougm3037 Because people don't have weapons too right lol. Skynet will not go like you think it will, greedy fuck.
They'll have built in machine guns like the ED-209 in Robocop.
"I'm sure it's only a glitch."
@@clifftrainor6774 Because people can't shoot back lol. Maybe that shit will work in cucked England, not the US. EVER.
So will these robots gets tickets for jaywalking? I noticed one crossing but not at a cross walk.
I like the first food delivery bot with it's low center of gravity, but best of all... it won't expect a Tip
How to solve this problem that the robot confronts thiefs or bad guys?
I was not expecting for the kiwi bike to be self driving too, nice!!
I am looking forward to the growth in the Artistic community and having more time to spend with out younger generations. Robots do everything, We get a guaranteed minimum income. We sell much more creative items because we have the time to create them. We keep more of the profits because robots are delivering them. Looking forward to it. Bring it on.
LOL can't believe anyone believes in this bs...
Fed Ex the best one.
how do i get thow kewi app? i have a Samsung Galaxy J7
Hi, That is a wonderful nice delivery it keeps warm to it gets to you. And if anyone touches it in anyway it's a criminal charges. It should be delivered in low criminal activity areas not In fast pace areas of residences.
the Amazon scout is a starship
FedEx wins my vote for most nimble and ability to climb stairs.
literaly the 2nd one is actually a RC car just look at the bottom
Yay Free lootboxes
does it work with kids and school runs
I was looking for an experimental self driving electric Amazon truck with robots for sorting and delivering boxes
Living on a steep hill in Seattle how would the robot climb up the street hill ?? maybe a mini robotic station up on top of hill? compete with Safeway??
These things have cameras, GPS tracking and they have a loud alarm
Have you accounted for people? I see someone running this down, picking it up, and taking it home to crowbart it open. lol
"crowbart"?
@@tripjet999 😂 crowbar
Wouldn’t they track the robot?
