My very first tomato video. I don't know what caused the youtube algorithm to spawn this video in my feed, but I'm very thankful it did because I'm obsessed with the red man now and watch him almost daily. I know tomato doesn't read these but if there's any small chance he peeks every now and then see, thanks man you've really helped me out
I see I'm over a year late! Very entertaining to watch you play my dungeon! And funny that you mention Thief, as I made a few mods many years ago for Thief 1 and 2, and a couple for TDS and Dark Mod too. You definitely play well. You missed one of the key abilities of the control bar - swapping weapons on the fly with a quick button press (such as setting up to swap sling/rock with bow/arrows). Great work on that "round robin" teleporter puzzle. I loved watching those spider battles, so tense! Full sets of armor I think includes gloves (but it's been a long time). Excellent work on the timing of the wicked dying together. Great job finding the Battle Axe. Your best line: These puzzles are for babies!" That brute force section is just about stepping once onto a closed pit to throw off the pattern, then it works (and that's what you did when you solved it). I don't see another video on this, too bad you never came back to it, it was very entertaining and I'd love to see the rest!
Grimrock vods are my favorite even after all this time. Never played this game, certainly not skilled enough to attempt, but I just love these, the thief series and CDDA. Smile.
Complains that he needs arrows. > never picked up a stack of them from first prison cell even though he stared at it for a whole minute > arrows dropped from second spider egg nest, he says he needs to scavenge the room but never goes to the drop
Wow, i remember playing Grimrock a very long time ago, it was so difficult that i gave up and went to play something else, and there were 2 arrows on the ground at 1:02:00
The amount of people in Tomato's chat that haven't played classic dungeon crawlers or rpgs is sad. Hopefully some of them go out and get games like eye of beholder, might and magic and even grimrock to see for themselves.
Enemies drop the same thing depending on the type of monster. And enemies that drop decent gear like the skeletons. Only drop their spear and shields. Their equipment
Imagine being John Grimrock, coming home after a long day of building an evil dungeon and realizing you left your wallet by the work site... somewhere. Alternative, imagine trying to find the TV remote in this place.
Don't know that you will read this Tomato, but my last semester of University and transitioning into independent life has been going pretty rough. Thank you for giving me levity and humor to help me work through it.
Dear Tomato, you are the funnyest being I have ever encountered on RUclips gaming. You make me happy. I now know that there is someone out there more mental than me. You are awesome!!!!!
This game would make a little more sense if you were a single dude with 8 arms, because as is, there's a lot of things that a four-person squad should be capable of that aren't incorporated.
Watching this being played and it really just makes me wonder why they even bothered with the party mechanic, all of these skills could be done by a single character, and like you said the way it plays you basically are just one character with 8 arms and 4 brains since your "partners" get revived at the magic stones ala just healing to full health at a bonfire in a Dark Souls game. Watching this game just makes me want to go back and play KingsField or Shadow Tower lol.
Anyone else get reeeeeeeeeal irrationally mad about the puzzle at 4hrs 30 mins. He like... figured out the puzzle and then just didnt even notice he found it.
I already like this game, just from the movement and I'm only 15 minutes in. It reminds me of some old games I use to play, one of them being a game called Undercroft which I remember playing through a few times.
I really have mixed feelings about Tomato. I like his content when he just chills. But then he gets all mad at chat and demands they only act the way he wants. Like, you're a streamer. Deal with it. You get MONEY to interact with people. Either disable chat or quit fucking whining.
Sorta agree - on one hand I get it, but it does get a bit 'much' every now and then - when you see people having straight up panic attacks when wrongfully accused of something.
AS someone who deals with back seating, it’s super annoying to see people spoiling everything in the chat. And they do, and will. You can’t have a 50% tolerance to this, it’s 100% or 0%. You get people who rage and get mad if you don’t play perfectly, or like how they do, for not following the optimal away, and having fun. Good on Tomato for actually dealing with these people.
I actually prefer that he gives chat members shit. People can really act like assholes, especially in games like this with a lot of backseating potential. Just because he gets money from people doesn't mean he owes viewers anything. People who give him money do it of their own accord and its not necessary to do to watch him play. He's still a human being and not some robot made to entertain people.
Deflecting much with the baby insult, also why would you play a game a just listen to chat, he can think for himself, I know I wouldn't just listen to someone like you, even if you play the game better because I like this thing called fun, why listen to a tryhard.

Thanks John Grimrock. Welcome to the pit.
This man left a whole ass feature film review
“An insectoid”
Cool.
“Rogue standby boy”
Whatever.
“named Bep”
This is literally sadder than hatchi.
I love how the rock animation literally just looks like the party throwing literally everything they have all at once, and the kitchen sink
I can already hear chat complaining about the secrets.
Plot twist, every single piece of armor, clothing and weaponry in the game has previously been used by every single bastard trapped in this dungeon
"Make sure you stand up every 4 hours or something"
Sorry, but I want deep vein thrombosis.
@Ryder Reece Bounced on my boys D to this quaint botscam for hours.
Love you tamto and whoever is running this channel. Thank you for giving me hours of entertainment (:
@Prime ! You could say that he is the Toe, of the Tamtoe.
I love you too Brett

I’ve been watching about an hour or 2 of this video every day and its been super fun!

A bad case of gamer blindness.
beef brain
I can already remember getting freaked out by the giant spiders
"These puzzles are for babies!" Says man who just struggled for 20 minutes on a single puzzle.
Wow, i remember playing Grimrock a very long time ago, it was so difficult that i gave up and went to play something else, and there were 2 arrows on the ground at 1:02:00
"So you really have to use your fukken eyes" classic streamer

I was more of a fan of Classic RPGs. The twitchy animations and models lacking just enough detail were charming.
Sadly the predominate viewer base on Twitch is Zoomers
Dear Future Me: 46:00 Is the funny part you're looking for.

I love how he constantly states that he wants gear but never picks it up after killing monster.
Enemies drop the same thing depending on the type of monster. And enemies that drop decent gear like the skeletons. Only drop their spear and shields. Their equipment
I noticed that when he kills something, stuff drops and he completely goes over it. Is there some sort of auto pick up?

Alternative, imagine trying to find the TV remote in this place.
John Grimrock teleports to all of the worksites. He knows where they are because he's a responsible engineer and keeps all of the plans in his vault
Grimrock... Stalker... Thief.. All in the span of a few months? Glad i found this channel :)
If you can do more legend of GirmRock, I would be very pleased
45:55 holy shit that actually scared me.
Don't know that you will read this Tomato, but my last semester of University and transitioning into independent life has been going pretty rough. Thank you for giving me levity and humor to help me work through it.
I don't wanna soil your spirit. But, this channel is run by brett, Tomato knows about this VOD channel but has no interaction with it
@@gerihat-trick7634 that means tomato only streams now fuck
Hey man, it's ok. Keep on going! You got this.

Wtf was he doing lmao... Just keeps running left and right?
Several times lol.
Think its a side effect of playing for 4 and a half hours.

I'm atleast half certain he's just fucking around. But then again, this is the 4th stream I've seen so far, so maybe I'm just talking bullshit.

Hi
This is painful to watch when he has to solve any puzzles. Wouldn't be so bad if he'd have just listened to chat instead of being a big baby about it.
