Can a dog regain use of back legs? Zara update

six months ago our little dog lost complete mobility from the hips and rear. She could not even stand properly for a few days .
The following is a description of the process we went through to help her regain her mobility .
Tiny walks daily , to the end of the road at first . Then walks on grass .
Hip massages mid walk .
Finding her limit and carrying her at times . Lots and lots of stopping for breaks
Slow walks . Lift assists using the harness to take some of her weight at kerbs or height obstacles .
All flat ground .
Listening for foot or nail dragging.
The hip and leg massages were at times seemingly pointless but running two thumbs over her hip joints mid walk seemed to free her up .
I am not a vet or expert . I took advice from what I read online and this process has been a long one . But she now breaks into sprints if she sees a dog or even just because she feels like a run .
I think it was lucky to discover a route with soft well cut grass . This is where I took her one day with tears in my eyes thinking that she was done for . A saving grace to find that advice of small regular walks and that is why I am sharing this .
It took six months
Consistent small excursions .

Her little sprints are a thing of joy to see . Where once she stumbled and lagged she now passes us out as if to say "winning "
I have wished I could capture those moments , but such is life that capturing film and walking her just doesn't mix well .
