Hi! I just discovered your channel. I love how you explain the process and go step by step. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your talent! Leslee from Florida 🌞
I just love watching you work. It's simple (I mean that in the best way) but so beautiful! It makes me, as a beginner, feel like I could actually make something almost as beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. I really enjoy decoupage and wish I had tried it earlier.
Absolutely love these !! I can't wait to try. I think I would like to put a clay mold of something around the seam. I will have to try. Thanks again for sharing!
Hi Joan!, love these 🥰 but, you never disappoint . Have a lot for the napkins you used ( from vippies) I have seen the flat side ones never bought any , I will now , Hope I can fine 😬 Thanks and will be waiting for More !!
They were beautiful. I wonder if you could decoupage over top of the rub n buff. Maybe the gold would be too dark, but I wonder if you could on the silver or any other lighter color. I have not used rub n buff, but it appears to be waxy, so I am curious if it would work?
Rub n buff is an oil based paste, not wax. Please read the manufacturers label. Once dry it’s permanent. You can decoupage a napkin on top, why not? Give it a try! - Joan
I love the ornaments I would like to try to make these do you think that I could sell them on marketplace or some other place I'm looking for something I can do at home to make a little extra money for Christmas
Thanks for sharing your creative mind with us!! Love these, and I absolutely love your teaching style! You're detailed, clear, and thorough! I'm definitely going to try this reverse decoupage technique with my 14 year old daughter (if she doesnt think its for old people, being 14 lol). Question: Isn't mod podge a sealer? Could i use that in place of the duraclear or does it not work right? Thanks for your help or suggestions!
They’re round and flat. You can remove the top and put faux snow flakes or glitter on the inside. I think they may be available other places besides the Dollar Tree. You are a perfect age to try new things like decoupage! Let me know if you have any questions! - Joan ❤️
@JoanMarieDomino will this work with plastic ornaments shaped the same way or does it need to be glass to have that magnifying effect? I love all your crafts by the way!! ❤
Hi Joan Marie. I ordered the ornaments from Amazon but I have a question. Did you open the ornament and put anything in the deer reverse. It is blue. And then did you use snow Tex around the seam. Thank you for info
The ornaments don’t open except the top comes off. I added some silver balls then put the top back on. I used the SnowTex all around creating a frame. - Joan
So much fun

Hi Judy! Thank you so much for watching! I think most of those napkins are still available. That you for shopping at Vippies Designs! ❤️ - Joan
I love everything you make. I’m waiting for my order from vippies, already got some spoons, can wait to start making those Xmas ornaments.
That’s wonderful! Where did you get the spoons?
@@JoanMarieDomino hi, some I got at the dollar tree and others at goodwill.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Hi Debbie! I don’t know if they would sell as I am not familiar with selling handmade crafts. I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful - Joan

Hi! You can use Mod Podge but it is really more glue then sealant. It’ll work! Thanks for watching, happy holidays! - Joan
Hi, can I ask where did you find these flatter ball clear ornaments? Didn't see it in your list... Love your videos!
I got then from The Dollar Tree
I absolutely love this idea 😁
I was wondering if you could use something else besides dura clear sealant
Any water based clear sealant will work as a barrier.
These are beautiful as always. Do you clean the plastic bauble with anything first before you get started? Thank you 😊
You can wipe it off with alcohol if you want to make sure it’s clean.
Such a great video and I can’t wait to try making one! Can you use gloss duraclear to seal?
Yes you can use gloss 🙂
🌍☮️🌲
I don't have duraclear. Do you think a clear coat would work?
Any clear water based sealant will work. If you use a clear spray then I recommend doing that outside - Joan 🙂
Loved it but can you tell me what kind of ornament you used please. Thanks
Thank you! I got them from the Dollar Tree. I hope they get them in this year because I used all I had to make the video, lol
@@JoanMarieDomino Thank you!!! are they totally round or kinda on the flat side I am sorry it was hard to tell for me. I am 74 lol and just a beginner

Kay they are plastic not glass. I got them from the DT. Sorry I should have been more clear about that. I think Hobby Lobby has them in glass. - Joan

@@JoanMarieDomino thank you
Is dura clear the only one to use over decoupage?
Yes! It’s a sealant - Joan 🙂
Thank you
Can you use a second layer of the Mod Podge on the back as a barrier
If you want

You’re not dim, you’re fabulous! They’re round flat ornaments amzn.to/49ptAXQ - Joan 🙂
