I like the look of your products (and techniques). Are they available in the UK? I want to cast some tiny replacement plastic control buttons for a radio mic. They are about rice grain sized and would need a double sided mould. Is the size a problem, and how much size reduction might occur when setting, as the buttons are integral to the structure. Thanks!
Great questions! House of Resin is one of our main suppliers in the UK - you can reach out to them for product availability! Silicone will get you an exact replica - we would recommend checking out the Plat line for that!
The next day, when you pour the silicone again on the previous piece, won't the two pieces of the silicone mold stick together?
Can you please provide a link for the locators?
Love your product, thanks for the tip
You are so welcome!
Can this be used to do a mold of an ear opening for in-ear headphones
Yes! With those types of undercuts you would want a soft silicone like High Strength 3!
How can we make a cast/ mold out of a functional electronic (ex:cell phone, tablet) without damaging it to make a cover?
Try wrapping it in plastic wrap! Be very careful!
Would this work to duplicate a push button in a Telefunken Jubilate radio ?
Thanks
Jose
Absolutely! You'll need to cater the process and mold to that specific piece but the overall process is the same. Great question!
