Rogue combo rack flips over? - Testing safeties
HTML-код

- In the past we have seen combo racks such as ER and TSS flip over when the face savers were used as safeties, face savers are typically designed to only protect someone while benching NOT squatting, But could the rogue rack provide some added safety while squatting as well? Or will the rogue combo rack have a similar result as the ER & TSS? Is a combo rack a smart move in a home gym? does it replace a squat rack? Watch to find out.

This video addresses a very important question, especially for those lifting alone in a home setup. Thank you.
That's exactly what inspired the video 🙏
So happy I could help 👌
yes... dont buy a rack which has spotter arms which are longer than the legs of the rack... lmao..... the failure videos he showed are horrible shitty racks.
You saved lives with this video
Imagine he just starts pulling world record weight just to test the thing
Don't tempt me 😉
Excellent and very helpful video! 🙏🏻
Glad it helped 🙌
I was wondering about this issue... Thank you for the vid, boss.
Welcome 🤗
I'm definitely buying one now great review thanks.
you are very welcome 👍 thanks for the support🙏 rogue combo rack is for sure the best bang for your buck
They aren't for thar kind of safety. It's called a face saver. It's to prevent damage to your face while benching
I'm well aware.... But someone using it at there house this would be valuable information if it can double as a normal safety
What the mat that you have under the rack? Thinking about getting one but I want to protect my floors
3:12 I really don't get it why tf other companies don't make the foot longer than the safetys. Like Eleiko for example, they charge over 5000€ for a combo rack, and due to the "construction fail" of the safetys being longer than the foot, it can tip over. In my opinion this may not happen with a COMPETITION combo rack which costs 5000€ plus shipping depending on where you live
I agree 👍💯
Much easier to flip a ER rack over. Needs to be exactly 185kg. How I know this, well I tried.
That's great 😂
So if you have a power rack already whats the point of the combo rack?
@@adoboFosho more specificity for powerlifting
@ATPGym ok that makes more sense if you're competing cus for the average home user they wouldn't really need if they had a power rack already
Have you found that it’s easier to bump the uprights walking out or bump the face savers while benching on this particular model!!!???
I don't seem to bump anything, but I will say it's more common for my clients to bump the safteys while benching. Typically that's only someone with little experience tho
Lol nice!
had fun with this one😂😂
What size deadlift platform is that? 8x8?
It's a 6x8
@@ATPGym hi, so that is rogue combo rack sitting on top of a rogue 6x8 platform and there is room to deadlift in front of the rack? Thank you for the fast reply
@@kennybo3009 I suppose you could deadlift infront of it but I would get an 8x8 if you want to put a combo rack on top. This one the combo rack barely fits
GIVE ATLAS THE TOY BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love that 😂
Pretty sure most racks tell you to take the safetys out for squatting
I'm aware. That's why because most of them flip over. But doesn't stop it from happening aka all the virtual videos. Valuable knowledge if someone wants a combo rack for a home gym
Should have tried the same workouts that they did in your reference videos. The videos show a failure, and as they are coming down with the weight their momentum carries them backward. Not saying the rouge would fail the same way, but I think you should have done it in the same way the videos you referenced for any nay sayers.
I'm throwing the bar down into the front of the rack with 700lb+ I'm sure its not going to move. If anyone wants send me a barbell to destroy I will drop a squat on it lol
When engineers forget about stability….
@@dlvctpcyf facts haha
Just saw this and man are you kidding. You dropped the bar from 2 inches and held on to it.
You DID NOT TEST ANYTHING HERE, that is the biggest joke of a test I've ever seen and that's why I had to comment even though it was 3 years ago.
Drop from a failed squat and see what happens but Rogue made a Terrible Combo rack because the spotter arms are so short, the lifter would miss them altogether on a fail, What a Joke test
There's a reason there called face savers and not safetys like a squat rack
Any and all combo racks are only made to use the safetys on the bench
The fact the rogue one can even let the bar roll to the front of the face saver without flipping is an improvement over almost every other combo rack
Also I now own a gym with 4 different combo racks.... So I'd like to think I have some experience with other combo racks lol
