This video explains curvature and refraction correction to be accounted while performing levelling at longer distance. The curvature effect is insignificant at shorter distance. Refraction effect is due to change in velocities of light when it travels through air of different densities.

Great content
I will try my best
Mam One Doubt: Why refraction Correction is CE not EB.My point is that we have to measure upto AB,then why CE?
another doubt : In our state exam one question asked I remembered answer of that question is Refraction Correction Partially eliminates Curvature Correction. How this happens?I have Doubt regarding this.
To your staff reading observed at E add refraction correction you will be at C. Then BC curvature correction has to be subtracted, then you will get the value at B. That is why it is being mentioned as refraction correction partially eliminates curvature correction. Just see the fig at 6.24 minutes in the video From CB error due to refraction you are at E. (partially removed as said)
Thank you mam for this video
Thank you too
Thanks mam super explanation
