Nonsense. 747 production ended in 2022 and the production line has been converted to 777-9 production. There is no economical way of restarting it nevermind that the 777-9 has 92% the 747-8's capacity with less fuel burn per seat and lower costs per trip. If there is a demand for a 747 sized aircraft, it'll be cheaper and more attractive to customers to stretch the 777-9 to a 777-10.
The Boeing 747 was not initially designed for the airline companies, which wanted a larger plane, but rather is a reuse of the design that lost out to the Lockheed C-5 Galaxy.
What a good idea with Boeing having such a stellar reputation. At the moment. Would you rather have a 747 8 or a virtual brand-new a 350 1000 pretty much you have approximately 70 less passenger capacity on the Airbus.?

I wish they would build it, but with the assembly lines dismantled it does seem unlikely. One ray of hope -- there's been talk (and a video) of a twin 747. (Do engines powerful enough exist for a twin 747?) I'd like to see the twin 747 built. Hopefully engines either already exist or are at least feasible. With lighter alternative materials like carbon fiber, a new twin 747 is probably doable. If Boeing thinks it will be profitable, then maybe they will/are considering it. Who knows ... I think of the 747 as "America's Plane," representing the country everywhere it goes. So I'd like to see it kept going with modernization -- I don't want Airbus building anything better than the US! Lol... 🇺🇸✈️
