Great idea Emma and Cole! Love your BTS in the cockpits and this is a really interesting aviation angle. The possibilities are endless where you can go with these insights. FBOs, training schools, maintenance!? Just make sure you keep flying since that's where y'all shine. Thanks!
This is my first comment and had been watching it as regularly as I can what attracts me more to this is Galveston Island I lived in Beaumont TX in the '80s and had to move in the early 90s and I missed Texas and Galveston was always my weekend getaways so many fond memories I can't wait for my next trip to Texas I'll be stopping in I want a bird's eye view of the island I'm not a pilot and I'm not afraid to fly.
Next time you are flying ask to see the light gun signals. At my tower we will give you the signals when you are on final so you know what to look for. Great training.
GREAT Video!!! I used to fly into Georgetown on a regular basis. I don’t fly there much anymore because they have a controller there that’s a real A-hole ! If I tune into there frequency and I hear him I don’t go there. He mumbles and has an attitude if you ask him to repeat something. That’s a shame to it’s a very nice airport.
If I'm 1200 active but need to spin 7600 do I need to select standby prior to spinning through 3456 and 345 then reselect active? When doing so when should identify be selected?
Depends on the transponder design but ideally it’s best to go standby first. You’ll also be able to double check you’re not accidentally squawking 7500 or 7700 first.
So no primary radar? just transponder. If theirs is down couldn't they use flightradar? and for flashing planes, why not use lasers. Seems to get their attention :)
Awesome video Emma.
I like what you've added to the channel.

Very interesting....Thanks. As a pilot, I appreciate what they do.
Outstanding VLOG regarding ATC Galveston controller !!!
Great behind the scenes type of video. Thanks Emma.
Loved that! Fascinating to see all that goes on up in the tower 👍
We got to go to the Bravo KSLC tower and tracon. So cool and encourage everyone to get a tour!

Such a amazing informative video! Thanks soooooooo much!
I find at least to things that don’t instill confidence. First their equipment goes down when it rains and the fact he doesn’t know all the acronyms.
You've been doing a great job with the channel lately Emma.
That was awesome.
That was Fun and SO Interesting. Fantastic Content
Great video! I think I talked to Steve a few times at GTU and also at GLS
