    Please do more of these videos! I loved watching how you broke down all of the different elements and how they come together to bring the full track together!

      Thanks for this comment mate! It actually means a lot because this is exactly the whole point of this video as I want to do content in this style and explain why I did that and that so yeah, thanks and glad you enjoy it!

    Literally don’t know how you get the track so full and loud when there is so many sounds going on.. 🔥🔥🔥

    • @ChangingFacesDnB
      @ChangingFacesDnB  5 месяцев назад +2

      This one is actually not that full but it’s important that everything in the mix has it’s own space and is well selected. You can achieve full & loud mix by these things:
      - make sure you learn more about frequencies so the spectrum is fully covered
      - use quality EQ and learn how to use it properly (really recommend ProQ3 and also checking some tutorial on the plugin)
      - also learn how to use ProQ3 on the master by using some settings like side cut & mid boosts
      - make sure you use the right sound selection
      - make sure the tune sounds good in mono and your synths are mono compatible (you can achieve this by using only one voice in Serum for example and giving your sound stereo width with chorus for example)
      - make sure everything is well balanced when it comes to the volume
      - use a sidechain (recommend volume automations instead of some sidechain plugin or sidechain via compressor) you can also use separate & more sidechain envelopes for various sounds
      - use trackspacer
      - use group processing (eg group all drum sounds and then post process them again in one channel)

    This is super useful! Would love to see how you process your drums/generally how you mixdown. Thank you for your efforts once again!

      Hello, glad you found this useful! Happy to help :) re the technical side of production - as mentioned in different comment, I'm not really a fan of this and don't really enjoy it as much as this type of content I'm doing (explaning how a track was made and the story behind it and talk more about the songwriting and some techniques that can help you think about things that might not be that common) but I'll see what I can do! It's not a no, I just need to think about it first and find more time to do so :)

    Absolutely fantastic value here-huge thanks for such a detailed video! It's incredible to get a glimpse into your creative process. I'm really curious, could you consider making a video focused on melodic drum and bass, perhaps diving deeper into chord progressions and other aspects of music theory? I find these elements particularly challenging, especially understanding their application in drum and bass, where certain chord progressions seem to be favored (i assume?). Would love to learn more about this. Thanks again my man!

      Thanks and glad you enjoyed the tutorial!
      Regarding the music theory, it's a very nice idea,
      but when it comes to music theory, I barely have any skills haha. I do everything by ear.
      Could definitely break down how to create chord progressions easily etc though - will keep this in mind and see once I have something more ''melodic'' ready :)

    thank you for blessing us with a track breakdown! how do you rate the beyerdynamics headphones for production?

    • @ChangingFacesDnB
      @ChangingFacesDnB  5 месяцев назад +2

      Price & quality ratio is very fair i'd say, but there are better ones for sure. I think it's also about getting used to these because they are kinda playing higher frequencies and you can feel like not having enough of low end and then end up with very loud sub etc. So that's when you need to start using your eyes too and always check everything on SPAN for example

    • @kerimallami
      @kerimallami 5 месяцев назад +1

      I actually had the same problem with the Beyerdynamic headphones-too many highs and not enough low end, which made it hard to produce dnb which is bass heavy. So, I switched to Slate VSX and they are incredible, especially for bass music.
      They’re probably the best solution I’ve found for anyone who can’t build a studio with proper acoustic treatment. Sometimes, I even forget I'm wearing headphones because they sound exactly like there are two speakers worth tens of thousands of euros in front of me. Hope this helps. 🙏🏻

    Hi there! Can you make video about only drum group? You use samples, or you synth from scratch in Serum, or both way? Whats about compression, fx, eq separate snare, kick hats track, and whole drum group? Im ready for personal lesson)

    • @ChangingFacesDnB
      @ChangingFacesDnB  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hey man! Thanks for your question. I will think about this, but to be completely honest, I don't really enjoy these technical things when it comes to production and I feel like there are loads of videos on these topics already. I mostly started making this content because I love explaning how a track was made and the story behind it and talk more about the songwriting and some techniques that can help you think about things that might not be that common (or at least you can't find much of these things in some videos). Bascially, I'd like to keep this ''different'' approach. I'll see what I can do thought as you are not the only one asking about the technical things. Let's see!

      Yes, but with added extra harmony (you can do this in wavetable menu) or by adding bit of distortion
