My Lab rescued our cat in a walk one day. She would not let my husband leave the kitten behind. She guided this kitten with her nose all the way back home, we took him in and she “took care of” her baby. We weren’t sure the little guy would make it he was so thin and full of fleas. He’s now a full grown cat and very healthy and sweet cat.
Wake up, smell the coffee, see what's Really going on here. Does this look kind/good for this kitten? I realize a dog this size could Easily kill the kitten, don't get me wrong, I just don't think it's gentle Enough for a tiny baby like this to be picked up & carried by the head, be it by a dog, person, etc.
Dog says "Darn it, you're too small to grab by the nape of the neck! I guess I'll just have to do it this way!" Kitten says "Wow! We came all the way up here! I wish I could have watched it!" Besties! The dog is incredibly patient and gentle. ❤❤❤❤❤
The fact that that pup was able to grab that kitty by putting its entire head in its mouth and the kitty doesn’t seem the least bit scared and upset truly shows how kind and gentle this doggy is! So sweet!
That's how most cats and dogs carry their young. Even lions, in the wild, will grab tiny baby lion cubs by their head, and carry them around in their powerful jaws. The cubs know not to move, and the mother is super gentle, so no harm occurs. It's instictive and quite beautiful. 😊
I never used to like German shepherds but, my exes dog is as half German shepherd and half Rottweiler. I was pregnant and sleeping in bed, when my exes dad came into the room to get something off the dresser and the dog was apparently growing ferociously and showing his teeth. The dog had lived with my ex and his parents as a puppy, so him acting that way towards his owner was so crazy to me. I felt so safe with that doggie!
"Let him do it himself" is what the woman says in the beginning and the kitten was flying those stairs without any help. Seems to contradict that understanding part of your comment.
Who says animals don't have empathy beyond their own young or pack/pack. This beautiful soul is showing incredible care and empathy across species lines.

From the time We got him at 8 wks Our big girl Rebel has allowed Rocky to bite her, scratch her, put his teeth around her mouth, she will very very gently play with him & open her mouth & he's stuck his head inside her mouth, he's yanked toys out of her mouth which being 110 pounds to his 10 pounds, she could easily take back but she always lets him have it. She's a gentle giant & You can see by this German Shepherd's mannerisms that She is exactly the same way. In some dogs, that Motherly instinct is natural. 🙏🇨🇦✌
German Shephard: Heard instruction, Do it himself, So he saw the kitten run upstairs, Point t9 the next step. Kitten want to go. But the Shephard stop saying no so first it take awhile, then the kitten submit and the Shephard pick it up by the head and carry the kitten gently o the top. place it gently down, watching over it.

В домашних условиях животные могут "подружиться" и проявлять заботу друг о друге.

German Shepherds are just amazing, I find them the best among all the breeds, because neither they will allow anyone to mess and at the sametime their not aggressive às well, Lab breeds too are good, but I feel GS is a very balanced breed.

German Shepherds have huge hearts and intelligence. They need firm and respectful owners who recognize their unique talents and nurture them - they want to work as part of the family
Right, because if the owners aren't extremely good dog trainers, the shepherds can become incredibly defensive and attack people at random. They are responsible for more random attacks than any dog.

@@Lord_of_the_PiesJust looked it up, GSDs are third behind Rottweilers and Pitbulls - with Pitbulls being responsible for almost 2 orders of magnitude more deaths than either. And even those stats are severely skewed since GSDs are way more popular than the other two, again with the gap being much bigger for Pitbulls. Unlike GSDs, you probably do need to be an expert since they are a much dumber breed with a much higher prey drive. Honestly, it feels like you mixed up GSD stats and traits with Pitbull stats and traits.

Cats grab by the scruff to move their young, dogs actually do grab (gently) by the head! Dogs don't have as much extra loose skin at the scruff as cats do.
Yes you are correct, but that's a dangerous method for him to be doing . The kitten needs another grown cat to show him the steps , yes the GSD is helping, but at a certain point that kitten will grow to hate the dog .
We had a 150 pound German shepherd, Fritz. We adopted a siamese kitten, which he walked round with just like that. Actually he'd walk around, and you saw nothing but the body of the cat. You swore that the cat's head would've been swallowed LOL😂 When you saw the cat you always new whare it had been. Its head was always totally wet. LOL😅 The cat loved the dog, they were INSEPARABLE! For those scared or concerned about the pup hurting the kitty; dogs can carry eggs in their mouths without them breaking, although it looks rough, they’re incredibly gentle. While SOME dogs have that fight or flight survival response, MOST dogs are domesticated and have been naturalised to view humans as an ally not a threat. This by extension means anyone in the pack, including furries that are not part of their own species. If the human says that furry is ok to hang, the dog will comply. Side bar: There's been countless of stories where a dog has even died by an owners side as they fell terminally ill, the dog refuses to move and even starved itself to death. Ofc this could mean that the dog had a HUGE dependency on the owner for food but dogs know were the food cabinet is, this dog however refused to move by its owner who was dying of cancer and also became sick itself from malnutrition. These are loyal beasts of man, show them a little more respect. Jesting is one thing but people who are not dog owners will read into what you're saying and get the wrong idea.

It's admirable how much gentleness and care the Shepherd exercises in handling the tiny wee kitten and taking it to safety.

German Shepherds are just amazing, I find them the best among all the breeds, because neither they will allow anyone to mess and at the sametime their not aggressive às well, Lab breeds too are good, but I feel GS is a very balanced breed.

Right, because if the owners aren't extremely good dog trainers, the shepherds can become incredibly defensive and attack people at random. They are responsible for more random attacks than any dog.

@@Lord_of_the_PiesJust looked it up, GSDs are third behind Rottweilers and Pitbulls - with Pitbulls being responsible for almost 2 orders of magnitude more deaths than either. And even those stats are severely skewed since GSDs are way more popular than the other two, again with the gap being much bigger for Pitbulls. Unlike GSDs, you probably do need to be an expert since they are a much dumber breed with a much higher prey drive. Honestly, it feels like you mixed up GSD stats and traits with Pitbull stats and traits.

Cats grab by the scruff to move their young, dogs actually do grab (gently) by the head! Dogs don't have as much extra loose skin at the scruff as cats do.

We had a 150 pound German shepherd, Fritz. We adopted a siamese kitten, which he walked round with just like that. Actually he'd walk around, and you saw nothing but the body of the cat.
You swore that the cat's head would've been swallowed LOL😂 When you saw the cat you always new whare it had been. Its head was always totally wet. LOL😅

@@alexrossi4464 There's "jest" and then there's just plain misinformation and mischaracterisation of an animal...You're trying to make the GSD sound like a viscous beast that has no morality and are instinctual based creatures like lizards (or crocodiles) who think only on their stomach and survival.
While SOME dogs have that fight or flight survival response, MOST dogs are domesticated and have been naturalised to view humans as an ally not a threat.
This by extension means anyone in the pack, including furries that are not part of their own species.
If the human says that furry is ok to hang, the dog will comply.
Side bar: There's been countless of stories where a dog has even died by an owners side as they fell terminally ill, the dog refuses to move and even starved itself to death. Ofc this could mean that the dog had a HUGE dependency on the owner for food but dogs know were the food cabinet is, this dog however refused to move by its owner who was dying of cancer and also became sick itself from malnutrition.
These are loyal beasts of man, show them a little more respect.
