I've done pretty well on this machine but you are 100% correct, it definitely is going to be a win pretty good or lose everything you put into type of a machine with rarely anything in-between. Great vid!
This game is fun because one of the possible hold-and-spin symbols is the Dragon Train. If you trigger the hold-and-spin feature with the Dragon Train symbol, you get to play the Dragon Train feature after the traditional hold-and-spin feature. The Dragon Train feature has higher value symbols and if you fill them all in, you win the Dragon Train jackpot.
First time I played this it was amazing! I must have sat down at the right time. Never saw it before and I played $2.50 and i kept getting hold n spin and train bonus. It got me up to $800 !! Never happened again, ha but it is fun!

one of my favorites --- have won the fortune feature and a hand pay with small bet size --- i tend to limit my play and walk away if no features within 50 or so spins --- have seen it eat a lot of money at times ---- rock-on !!!

I have seen several videos of other people playing _Dragon Train_ and have hit significantly big wins on it. Might give it a go sometime if I'm ahead. 🍀

I've seen people hit big on this, but my one experience with this game I had a $6.60 free spins bonus on $1 bet, 1 cent denom. Granted, I only put in $50, lol.
Played it once on my last trip at The Wynn and got either a handpay or a large payout. I can’t remember. Played it again numerous other times again after that on the same trip and just got wrecked. It’s a really pretty looking game, but I’ll be skipping it going forward.

Dragon train is super popular here in Australia (it was probably designed here like a lot of pokies!) we’ve had it for awhile too. I love it but I’ve noticed it does chew through the $ quicker.
Since you're not playing for line hits, wouldn't it make sense to do the $1 denom but only 5 lines?
I like dragon train but it takes longer to get the bonus most of the time than many other slots. I did get a double bonus on a 2.50 bet on nickels that paid about 450. I got three bonus symbols and 6 numbers on one spin. I landed the special dragon train twice which made all the difference.

I like to play 3 lines on $1 bet. The balls can be huge and in the bonus with the wilds expanding, you can get line hits

What's crazy is I play 2 cent denom at $1 bet to build my bankroll on this game. Time and time again, I've started with $25-40 in free play and have gotten up to anywhere from $200-$1,500.

I don’t mind this game. I play it in .2 cent denom, $2.00 and I do okay. I didn’t get rich, but made a few hundred dollars. It’s fun when you get the train.
The equivalence thing is for the same bet size across denominations, so a $5 bet on 1c has the same odds of hitting as a $5 bet on 10c. It’s not like a 50c bet on 1c has the same odds as a $5 bet on 1c.
Also, it would have been nice to see all the features this machine has to offer, at least the free games feature as well. Which is exactly what I came here looking for, to see how the game plays before it hits my local.

Nice video, Brantley. I love Dragon Train. Since the line hits are so incredibly awful I'm really just playing for the lock-it feature. Even free games typically stink. Consequently, I drop my line from 50 to 25 and play a bigger bet. Same with Lightning Dollar Link. Is my thinking flawed?
These games yea you’re really just playing for the bonus so your thinking is not flawed at all.
This machine plays super fast. You can burn through $100s fast! I haven't had any luck on it.
I am so board with the same bonus on every machine today. The round sphere over and over with more spins every time you get a sphere. It’s boring. One of my favorite games is Rock in Olives. The old game bonuses were so much funnier. I was just on a Celebrity Cruise new ship and most all the games had the same sphere bonus. It was boring. Give us diversity in the bonus round for more fun.
I feel like all the new games are variations on the same theme. My favorite is still Buffalo Gold and Revolution where you get the gold heads and chance for re-triggers. The Jackpot Carnival bonuses are cool too.

I got a new igt game called magic treasures at my casino. It has a free game chest full of coins on the left. Jackpot pile o coins in middle. Money bal pot full o coins on right. Of course coins mean nothing. BUT, according to the rules the higher the # on the money ball pot the higher chance of closing pot. It starts at 5 and gets no higher than 46(not must hit by). The line hits are insane. I got 2 of highest symbol in reel 1 and 2 next to it in reel 2 on $1.60 it ga e me $8. I know of no other game that givesmore than bet back for 2 of a kind. This gave 5x my bet. I got near a full screen of same symbol (no multipliers) $652 on $2.40 bet. The money ball is insane too you can get 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x, the mini, minor or maxi. I only play the game when money ball # is in the teens(higher the better) massive, regular profits

Toward the beginning you say that you’d prefer to pay for 50 lines over 25 lines. If there are a lot of dead spins, and most of the value comes from the bonus game, why does it matter? Wouldn’t you want to play at the lowest lines to get more spins and more chances to trigger the bonus game?
If I had a boatload of freeplay I think I'd try it for a higher denom to try to hit it out of the park with a big bonus round, but otherwise I think if I had to stick money from my own pocket in it I'd have to pass on that kind of volatility. 😂

I thought it was ok when I played it. Never gor the train during my session. It won't be a game I'll rush back to play anytime soon.
I'm sure I'd like it if I got a good win on it or the dragon train to come out, but otherwise I just don't have the bankroll for games like this unfortunately and they aren't fun if you can't keep it up.

This game seems like one of the games that Cowboy slot channel would warn us NOT to play if your goal is leaving the casino with profit... First thing to consider when playing high volatility games: DO NOT at all cost play at Station Casinos. Their odds are tight AF. High volatility + Low RTP = Doomsday

Played it once and will never play it again. Tried different denoms and different bet sizes all in one session and never saw a feature nor a line hit. Graphic designs are horrible in my opinion. Not a fan of the sound effects. Just a horrible game overall in my opinion.
If I'm consistently getting 3-5 dead spins on any machine at different denominations I go to a different machine.
