Good video, helped me decide to spend the bucks and order one. They're changing the laws here in Canada every five minutes and knife laws changed this year again. So better I buy one before the next elections. I just ordered it and it's on the way. Going to watch some of your other videos.

I have a BK 21 knife on the way and the long mistakenly put off BK 9 will be soon ,then I'll grow from there.

I have a kabar kukri in 1085 a little smaller but nice and light but still thick enough to chop a tree down my favorite kukri for the money is the Ontario kukri in 1095 thick tough as nails but still has a good edge for the thickness.

@@BOOSTEDLASER I really have come to like a chopper that is not so big that it can't also be used for finer knife work. Love the Esee Junglas 2 for this reason.

Thanks for putting it up against a good hatchet! I have had the GB for years, love it, but the kukri looks to be a viable alternative.

for delimiting a large knife is usually easier because you don't have to be so accurate since your have more blade edge to use

    • @ochocobushcraft1742

Both do a good job, but id give the edge to the hatchet. The wider axe head will work better on bigger pieces. Less effort as well.

I do love my bk21, however I have always been disappointed with the sheath and the plastic handles, where did you get those micarta ones, I think I would like a set.

    • @ochocobushcraft1742

Amazon has the micarta handles. Same ones fit the BK9. You have to die them yourself. I use Rit dye and then linseed oil. Black and Green are best
