You may not get caught right away. Places like Target will wait till you steal an amount that equals a felony. They keep all the tapes and have all the records of you doing so. They wait for a felony charge because the company gets more money back than if you have a misdemeanor. Misdemeanor charges can actually cost the company more money, felony charges sue and make money.

@@larountvasch A high schooler saving up for college. She’s lying her ass off; she knows damn well it’s pocket money for college or in general at most.
I legit almost teared up when that woman was talking about how her hours got cut from 25 a week to 9, because I sympathize. I worked at Bed Bath and Beyond and we had problems with theft and inventory loss just like that. You don’t hurt corporate when you do this, you’re hurting the sales associates that are trying to pay their bills or pay for their school. I can’t believe such entitled people exist, it’s repulsive and I hope they get caught and end up in massive trouble
It's cause they seem to think they're hurting the "big dirty corporate bastards" when doing this. They don't realize they're hurting sales associates, it's ridiculous, they really think they're "sticking it to the big guys" when they're not. I also was hurting for the woman talking about her hours getting cut, it's not cool at all.. TikTok needs to stop letting videos like this get trending. I remember when tumblr had a pretty popular hashtag for that community of "borrowers" lol
Notice how they upload everything they do to TikTok for likes. This isn't even about "sticking it to big corporations", it's about the attention and recognition they get for it. They justify their immoral actions under a thinly veiled lie.
For real! You also have to realize how big of a gap between 25 and 9 hours is. When she said that, my jaw dropped, I was so mortified. Typically, at least in my state, minimum wage is $8.50. If she was working 25 hours a week, she would earn roughly $212.50 a week, which is a good pay for someone trying to save up for college. But now that’s she’s working 9 hours, that drops to $76.50! Absolutely disgraceful and horrible that these thieves think they’re hurting big corporations when really they’re hurting average people trying to survive
agreed. i posted a comment saying that it hurts the workers and all i got were replies from angry "edgy" people saying it's okay cause it only hurts the company. Really blows my mind on how selfish people can be
The craziest theft I've ever witnessed was this girl in walmart ring up a cartful of stuff in walmart at the self check out and then just walk out. I thought she had paid because she was so nonchalant about it. But she just walked out with at least $150.00 of stuff. It was wild.
Also, might I add that there are times that the employees are actually charged for these lost items when the inventory goes in. If I'm not mistaken, they only have a specific amount that they can go missing and anything above that, the cashiers/employees are the one to pay it. Yes, it's not the cashier's fault but company policy states that they are responsible for that so.... Please never do this.
I witnessed a robbery at Kohls where a woman walked in and shopped near the entrance of the store for abt 10-20 minutes. She gathered a decent amount of women’s clothing in her arms and then simply walked out of the store. The cashier was trying to tell her she had to pay for it but she didn’t look back in the slightest. She got into a getaway car with some guy and sped off. You can hear the engine and tires and everything as they floored it down the road. So yeh.. pretty ghetto if you ask me
@@Thefellowfreak but they're stealing when they clearly don't need to. They easily have a 15' x 30' room. They don't need to steal. Leave it to the people that have to steal for them and their family to survive. They could easily just BUY what they're stealing

I don't get bragging about stealing 2 seconds after doing it. Especially if it's some petty shit. Oh wow you stole a monster energy drink, a scrunchie, and a sharpie....what a heist.
Nahhh I saw a video where a girl I guess stole a bunch of bath and body works stuff, creams/perfumes etc. It seemed like things from Victoria secret but I wasn't sure.

I use to be a Retail Worker, and what makes me so frustrated about this 'Borrowing' crap is we use to get yelled at, pushed around and shit for trying to stop or even confront people who do exactly this- and then have them just go boast about their 'Haul' on Social Media. I hope they like a huge helping of Karma.
My boss at Whole Foods caught someone stealing food. They admitted they hit rough times and needed something to eat. Boss came to the kitchen where I work and we got him some food from the “spoilage” bin which is basically food that wasn’t as fresh as the food we’re putting out. Made the same day. Empathy exists. Just ask the boss for help because most people have empathy.
Yeah, but these tiktokers are not actually needy. They are just privileged rich kids who want shit for free instead of working for it. If they were actually needy, they would not be stealing luxuries and posting their "hauls" on TikTok. I feel bad for the homeless dude at Whole Foods, but not these marxist little shits who don't need to steal, but choose to because they are lazy and entitled.
These people, in the video are kids taking things like earrings. I don’t know about if they are on hard times but monster energy drinks, earrings and lip balms aren’t things that are ‘needed’ like food.
i totally agree, but the people in this video are obviously people who already have the essentials, just based off the shit they steal. like, makeup is NOT essential, sunglasses are NOT essential, and a fucking charm bracelet is not essential. People who are dishonest like this for no rhyme or reason really piss me off. I have seen posts where teenagers think that if you see someone shoplifting and report it, that you're an asshole, but if I ever saw somebody trying to steal shit, I would definitely tell an employee so they would know who it was. Situations like what you stated should be dealt with differently in my opinion, but people who are stealing things like monster drinks and lip balm are definitely not falling on hard times, and need to be properly punished. (this isn't me disagreeing with you in case u get confused or somn btw)
OP, I worked in a grocery deli once. Broke my heart to throw away all of that fried chicken and etc. It was so hard for me to throw a full pan of fried chicken away.
@Mr Sir Employees can lose jobs because they didn't catch the thieves, it ruins lives so stop acting so selfish and making it seem as though thieves have more of a right to steal than employees actually working to earn money. Like in your previous comment, you have no idea how the retail business works. I did my business GCSE, I understand that stock that has been stolen DOES impact the business and needs to be re-paid somehow. This means that they need to lower wages for employees to get the money back. Stop justifying stealing, it is shitty and wrong whether they 'need' the stuff or not. They can literally just go to a charity if they needed it.
@Mr Sir no sir, it can absolutely get people fired if they can’t protect the merchandise/stop the thief, _especially_ if they work for higher end companies. Usually it isn’t the lower employees, however, but the management. Also, many companies work as franchises, which means if a specific location is stolen from enough, they will feel it almost as much as the privately owned ones. Stealing is NEVER okay, and the fact that you’re defending it and _mocking someone else_ for reminding you of basic morals is really concerning.
No.... everything she said about Claire’s is true. Sincerely: an ex- store manager lmfao Edit: Claire’s is literally the worst. When I worked there they made you work off the clock and would fire you for not complying with it. They lost a lawsuit about 3 months after I quit (around 2016 if I’m not mistaken) and I got a cute little $300 paycheck for my time working off the clock. Not only that, but there is literally nothing we can do if someone steals. We had to follow the individual and wait for mall security to show up (they loved to take their time). The ear piercing is a total scam. Everything she said about it is true. Little to no training. One time the gun fell apart as I was piercing a kids ear and it was mortifying. The mom threatened to sue. I was 20 at the time and it was horrible. I felt so bad, but thank god they have to sign paper work. The computers are from the 90’s and so are the training videos. They’re also super pushy about you buying the products even though they’re meant for children. I would assume the cameras in my store didn’t work because there were multiple but I never saw any monitors. (That’s why there’s so many mirrors.) Hate to see that hardly anything has changed in the years since I worked there. Especially after the lawsuit.
I’m sorry they treated you horribly, I have no idea why they’re still in business while treating their staff like that on top of the shitty piercings that cause issues.

We watched and followed ppl, we called the cops, we had real cameras installed and so much more. We had to cut our hours or us our own PTO to make sure we didn't complete cut a minimum wage workers hours by half. It's a lose lose situation for the employees when people steal.

@@overlyhuman exactly you have to go for places that doesn’t have security...I worked retail but we didn’t have loss prevention so people stole plenty. I used to work at Best Buy for the asset protection team. we caught around 60/80 shoplifters, also we use police to secret shop and hang around and wait in the hot zones. i was subpoenaed to court because we caught a kid who had hit a bunch of stores and had over 10k worth of stolen merch. He was found guilty and went away for a bit. long story short, it's not worth it.
Not only that, but justify it by telling themsleves they're fighting some perceived injustice by either "taking from the rich or supposedly bigoted company," or as "reparations."
I've worked multiple retail jobs. Shoplifting really doesn't affect employees directly. Yeah, we may have more work to do, i.e watching a certain area more closely, or security tags. Two stories. I worked 711. Theft I couldn't prevent was taken from my check. Theft contributes heavily to a stores profit and imaginary points from corporate. Theft goes up hours go down. Hours go down and store owners have to close or sell the store back to corporate. Theft is the number 1 cause for franchisees to lose their franchise. Story 2. I was in prison recently. Guy I was in with got two years for commercial burglary. why? Because he stole a monster from a grocery store. Got caught and signed a paper saying he wouldn't steal again. He stole again. He got caught again because of what he signed he basically had to plead no contest. 2 years in prison, not jail, for energy drinks.
I 100% believe that theory, I have for so long. There’s no way that someone can ‘borrow’ 2 entire bags full of random stuff wrapped in *crinkly* packaging.
Blows my mind how every day now people are getting kicked off of social media for expressing their opinions, but these "angels" are giving tips for the best ways to commit crimes & nothing!!! I don't get it!!!
In several stores near my area they started to hire private security thanks to the shoplifters, there’s also one that has armed private security that has a sign stating “guards will apprehend you by any and all means necessary if you are caught stealing” lol there’s been a few lawsuits (all failed) and including the judge saying “you didn’t want to get tackled to the ground? So lucky. And I haven’t stolen since then. It was a bad time in my life that I’m glad is over :\
Stealing diapers, feminine hygiene products, or food is way different then stealing jewelry or something that isn’t a necessity. There’s two different mindsets behind those.
Literally. Fun story for anyone who thinks the consequences of “borrowing” isn’t that deep: One of my friends got caught stealing makeup from Sephora back in high school, went to court for it and still has the charges on her record (obviously) recently, 6 years later, she got denied an apartment and her recent job questioned her about it. Most jobs don’t discriminate against minor criminal charges if you’re up front about them, but overall I would advise everyone NOT to do it. $15 lip liner is not worth that much stress at the start of your adult life, I promise you.
In high school, your friend was a minor. So juvenile arrest records are sealed so that's cap🧢. I had a carjacking, armed robbery, basically a kidnapping /false imprisonment charge, minor in possession of a firearm, and illegal possession of a firearm. I was printed, DNA taken, and tried as an adult. Not 1 time since that case was resolved has it ever been pulled up in any background check. Several jobs since 17 and I buy firearms. When I was in the military at Dyess AFB an airmen in my squadron was actually court-martialed, kicked out of the military with a dishonorable discharge (and in the process getting his wife and kids kicked out of base housing as a result) ALL DUE to the fact that he wanted to drink half of a monster inside the commisary and put it on a shelf then walk out without paying. I was one of the rotation of people in my squadron assigned to watch him for a couple days each in order to tell him to clean everything in our building, then move rocks from one place to the other then put them back as part of his punishment when he was outside of a cell before they finalized his discharge paperwork.
So there’s a trend of stealing stuff, while I’m over here worrying that people will think I’m stealing when I walk into a store and then leave without buying anything
they most likey wont say anything and if they wrongly accuse you of stealing and see you didnt take anything they sometimes give you giftcards/money to apologize
I just hope I see a bunch of future articles of these kids getting in trouble for this. They’re taking from employees pay raises and benefits and promoting criminal activity and it’s hurting a lot of people.
I actually had a friend steal something from hobby lobby. She’s 18 and more capable of getting a job. The thing is she doesn’t try to get one. She told me after we left and it emotionally damaged me. Told my parents and we aren’t taking her anywhere anymore
As a store manager for more years than I'd like to admit, I can confirm/add that: - Yes, your shoplifting will affect those employees' paychecks - I have seen some awesome store managers who are loved by their employees (worth mentioning because there are many awful store managers out there lol) get fired because they can't get the losses under control in their store, and at some stores with lots of trinkets (like Bath & Body Works, Wal Mart, Claires) and understaffing problems (often because of the theft in the first place), that can be near impossible to do at times. You see - it's only "easy" to "borrow" from those stores because they've cut employee hours due to thieves like you affecting their KPIs, so there aren't enough employees on the floor to catch all of the theft happening. - They update security methods regularly and some stores now have stickers that are glued so tightly to inside tags and sometimes to the inside of the clothing/goods and if the sensors in those stickers don't get deactivated at a cash register, you will set off an alarm when leaving. So even if the ridiculous nail clipper method gets one tag off without inking or beeping, you'll probably still get caught at the door. - Depending on the city/state/country you are in, they may have the right to search you if you set off the alarm. - Store/mall security can and will apprehend you if you are caught, and you'll be held until police arrive. They'll present their evidence to the police and they will decide what to do with you from there. - Even if the employees/security aren't able to catch you, chances are your mug was on multiple camera angles and you walked past a height measurement tool when entering so they have your specs and will leave your photo and description (and name if you were dumb enough to pay with a card and they catch you on camera later, which happens) in a directory that goes to every store in their chain, as well as any stores that the parent company owns (if there is a larger parent company). If you don't get caught at that location, you'll probably be caught at another one. - Those big brands y'all are targeting have dedicated Loss Prevention teams that work full-time on this issue. I've been in charge of LP (Loss Prevention) at store-level for a big brand years ago, and I have no doubt that they are seeing your TikToks, and that those of you who have shown your faces and discussed locations have had your videos shown to the stores affected, and perhaps to entire brands for training purposes. I mean, with the types of cameras, facial recognition technology, and AI systems that are available for the average person these days, I wouldn't advise anyone to be dumb enough to brag about your "borrowing" (let alone show your face or reveal your theft location of choice) on TikTok or any other online platform. But that's just meeeee :) Also I'd just like to note that it's fucked up that this is being posed as some kind of act of defiance against big brands (because they are telling kids not to do it to small brands/businesses), but it's not going to affect those big brands in the slightest. As mentioned, it'll mostly just affect the store-level employees. So here's my advice about that: If you want to move the world towards shutting down giant corporations (or at least kicking them off their high horses so they have to complete on a more fair playing field), just refuse to spend your money at any of them, nag your parents/family/friends to do the same, and when you're old enough, invest in the stocks of independent startups and support your friends who start small businesses. Maybe even start one of your own... and hope kids don't steal from it lol.
I actually didn’t know that! I thought that stealing would only effect the corporations and not the workers but that’s a really naive way of thinking because if the corporations are actually flawed they would put the blame on the workers so you’re actually putting trust into the ceo and owners to not do that, which of course they will. I see how stealing does more harm then good now ):
if someone is stealing because they can’t afford essential items and from large corporations, i understand and will turn a blind eye, but this is just ridiculous
yeah imo stealing worthless frivolous shit (like these morons) is not as bad as someone stealing essentials, but stealing anything hurts not just the corporation but it's workers. don't steal guys 👍
@@stighald I don’t think this is the same thing, though. These are two different principles at play. One side is that people who steal for fun, clout, or any other superficial reason are not great people. The other principle is that people who steal out of desperation or necessity are sad cases of people who are indeed breaking the law, but our empathy makes us feel bad for them/sometimes turn a blind eye. All theft harms businesses, economy, etc, but I can’t personally fault someone who’s so desperately struggling under this economy that you care so much about that they would result to theft. And then have the government further exacerbate the issue by locking them up, forcing them to pay fines, having them lose any job they have (which obviously doesn’t pay enough). IMO 🤷♀️
my sister stole from fred meyers while my 8 year old sister was with her and sat in the security office for three hours because my mom was at work and got permanently banned from all fred meyers and my parents had to pay a fine. not the most severe but anyone who is “borrowing” is really dumb

The whole Claire's thing is true! My ex-wife managed there for almost 10yrs. Cameras are fake, piercing gun, all of it. Fortunately for her I went in as a test subject for the piercings. 7 piercings in all👍🏼
I would stop shopping at any retail store that cuts the cashier's hours because customers decided to steal. Cashiers are not your security personal, go hire a security officer if you want to make sure nobody is stealing your products. Your cashiers should not be getting punished for people being shitty.
ikr but i feel like they only take it out on the cashiers because in the company’s eyes “the cashier is in charge of their checks” which i personally think is bullshit but thats how companies feel and who knows if companies used this trend to let go of most of their staff which i find again is bullshit to do
Most companies won’t do this directly, but when it comes down to it, if a company loses so much money because of theft, you cut into the profits, and thus you cut into the money that a company has to pay for employees. If the loss is high enough, it‘s gonna affect the employees. So just stopppp stealing jeeez (not you, just these fools)
I love how the TikTok girl was like .. Don’t “borrow” from small or family businesses Typical social media persona of doing shitty stuff but STILL acting all caring

Just by the way, I have no doubt in my mind that Claire's doesn't clean tools. Not just because of my own experience (I got my ears pierced twice by them, apparently cleaning the piercings as advised isn't enough to prevent infection) but because piercing guns themselves are actually horrible. They basically rip through the skin. I got a third piercing from an actually tattoo and piercing shop and I talked about my experience at Claire's with him, and he confirmed that the piercing guns are terrible.
I used to work at a little independent thrift store and someone stole a limited edition pair of doc martens (retailed for $150). When my boss found out they were stolen on my shift they took the $150 from my paycheck and cut my hours. This trend is so harmful to so many people! TikTok needs to do something about this!
As a retail worker, shoutout to theft tik tok for exposing all your tricks so it makes it easier for us retail employers to find out when you steal :) I hate people who justify stealing, it makes work harder for employees, we can lose store hours, bonuses, and people can be fired. Also imagine risking a criminal record for some random makeup.
Yeah unfortunately, the whole tiktok “borrowing” thing is getting pretty bad. My sister has stuff like that on her fyp and it made her think stealing is okay to do. A lot of things on tiktok have really influenced her too so I’m starting to despise it, I wish Tiktok moderated their content better and actually took down videos that can be harmful instead of things that don’t need to be taken down. Mind you, this is coming from someone who also has tiktok and is a minor so that says a lot
They start to misspell and reaupload videos if they get taken down. Heavier moderation also effects other creators who than get their videos taken down for no reason. It's just bad overall tbh.
@@shankeduu Actually we can just like we don’t allow pedos to post their child pornography on tik too, etc. It’s not like Tik Tok is saying that it’s okay after all. Maybe the kid is too young but these companies have to have guidelines and safety precautions on what’s allowed to be posted.
I know this is an older video... but the tattoo gun thing is absolutely true. If you are going to get pierced, look for a reputable tattoo shop (they will most likely have a piercer.) Piercers in a shop have to go through hours of apprenticeship and their sanitization practices are so much better (it also hurts WAY less than a gun)
Deadass Though, When I was 6, we went to an aquarium store, & they had this little jar of colored rocks for fish tanks, & they were 25 cents each, & I grabbed one thinking they were free, & I walked out with my Mom and siblings. Then, when we got in the car, I showed my Mom the rock I took, & she panicked & said that it wasn’t free. I literally cried a little & walked back inside and apologized at least 5 times & put it back. They told me it was okay, since I didn’t mean to, & I was so little. I legitimately felt guilty about that for quite some time. How do these people live with themselves??
Hi y'all! I'm the person from the last video (grungecryptid). I just want to say thank you Atozy for using your platform to spread this message. Theft is incredibly harmful to employees and these kids don't realize it. Soon after I made that video, we caught some more kids stealing. They had $150 worth of product in their bags and all ended up getting a class B misdemeanor, banned from the mall and all surrounding areas, and one girl got charged with resisting the police. Theft is not worth the risk. It goes on your record and you will never be able to work in retail. Thank you for helping people like me, we appreciate it so much. Have a wonderful day y'all, and please spread the word.
Many people don't understand the process of Shrinkage and Loss Prevention,so they think its a victimless crime. One of the main reasons I stopped working retail was because of theft. The sad part is that employees really can't do much about it either, which is bullshit, but it's the world we live in.
It's been 2 years but Holy god, I grew up and still am underprivileged and there are reasons why there are thrift and swap shops. You don't need to pay as much or at all at these shops. It's even worse how these people steal things that aren't necessities. Like if I saw a mother stealing food or hygiene supplies, I didn't see that. A 19 year old with an expensive bag stealing branded perfume however? Yep, you're done for. Im literally only 14 and I know what's right and what's wrong. I hope your college is going well though :)
I used to steal when i was a kid and i can say even if something only costs 5$ you think oh i could use that 5$ to buy something i can't steal and then you apply that logic to anything that you can steal and it becomes problem fast
I can bet the majority of them saying they “borrow” actually don’t, they probably pay but think it’s funny to do those TikToks meanwhile some kid does it and ends up in trouble.
The funny thing about all this is that separately their little "borrowings" doesn't amount to much, but collectively over time it adds up eventually to an amount that can be considered grand larceny...which will land them in jail for sure, fined a hell of a lot more than just a $1,000 plus probation. "Oh it's just a little lip gloss" won't sound so innocent when you're pleading for leniency in front of a judge.
If they were just “borrowing” then why they tryna hide it. They should just be able to take whatever they want and tell the clerk that they’ll bring it back😂
Thank you for saying that stealing from big companies is just going to come back to the employees of a specific store. It means a lot. We watch theft happen all the time and can only watch knowing that we're going to get screamed at later.
I love how more organic your videos are and that you acknowledge you have someone behind the camera and an editor. Rather than pretending you're in this isolated bubble like other content creator does.

I don't think I ever did that as a small kid, but I definitely know that my stupid ass decided it was a good idea to grab everything I want, stuff it into a pocket of my backpack, and walk up to the counter with the expectation I'd pay for everything. Unsurprisingly, I DIDN'T! And became all the more paranoid because I Don't Learn, but I'm not exactly trying to get an early death because I couldn't find everything, either.
The employees are NOT responsible for stolen merchandise. It's completely out of their control. The can't legally apprehend shoplifters, that would be the job of loss and theft prevention. These retailers also have insurance and just right off the missing inventory. If their losing too much money from theft they're doing something wrong.

The craziest theft I've ever witnessed was this girl in walmart ring up a cartful of stuff in walmart at the self check out and then just walk out. I thought she had paid because she was so nonchalant about it. But she just walked out with at least $150.00 of stuff. It was wild.
I did this once on accident, but I realized it driving out of the parking lot and came back to actually pay for it.
I went to self check out at Walmart once and had to get the cashier to get rid of the $70 of Pokémon cards that had been rung up and not paid for.
I live in PDX.. they fill up, leave, and no one does anything. Then Walgreens closes and they blame corporate greed. I can't.

I was in upper management and knowing that theft affected inventory which affected my team meant that we had zero empathy for ppl who stole from us. We watched and followed ppl, we called the cops, we had real cameras installed and so much more. We had to cut our hours or us our own PTO to make sure we didn't complete cut a minimum wage workers hours by half. It's a lose lose situation for the employees when people steal.
"We had to cut our hours or us our own PTO to make sure we didn't complete cut a minimum wage workers hours by half" IS this even english? People stealing from your department store has absolutely no effect on your wage, hours, anything. Please stfu.

$15 lip liner is not worth that much stress at the start of your adult life, I promise you.
not if you don’t get caught
In high school, your friend was a minor. So juvenile arrest records are sealed so that's cap🧢. I had a carjacking, armed robbery, basically a kidnapping /false imprisonment charge, minor in possession of a firearm, and illegal possession of a firearm. I was printed, DNA taken, and tried as an adult. Not 1 time since that case was resolved has it ever been pulled up in any background check. Several jobs since 17 and I buy firearms. So a 15-buck lip liner is not a felony or caple of being visible on her record.
@@Long_live_Da_Bully you know you can be 18 in hs right? And she stole way more than the $15 lip liner, she stole clothing, bras from VS, this list goes on. Sephora is not a cheap store. Even just taking a handful of things can easily be hundreds of dollars. Also, I said most jobs don’t discriminate, that’s true. I worked in hiring and most of the time we would ask, but didn’t discriminate if they did have charges. She didn’t have trouble finding a job. I’m saying she DID get denied from an apartment complex in a nice part of south florida.

Why are people litterally posting the selfs online commiting crimes
I just hope I see a bunch of future articles of these kids getting in trouble for this. They’re taking from employees pay raises and benefits and promoting criminal activity and it’s hurting a lot of people.
I actually had a friend steal something from hobby lobby. She’s 18 and more capable of getting a job. The thing is she doesn’t try to get one. She told me after we left and it emotionally damaged me. Told my parents and we aren’t taking her anywhere anymore
As a store manager for more years than I'd like to admit, I can confirm/add that:
- Yes, your shoplifting will affect those employees' paychecks
- I have seen some awesome store managers who are loved by their employees (worth mentioning because there are many awful store managers out there lol) get fired because they can't get the losses under control in their store, and at some stores with lots of trinkets (like Bath & Body Works, Wal Mart, Claires) and understaffing problems (often because of the theft in the first place), that can be near impossible to do at times.
But that's just meeeee :)
Also I'd just like to note that it's fucked up that this is being posed as some kind of act of defiance against big brands (because they are telling kids not to do it to small brands/businesses), but it's not going to affect those big brands in the slightest. As mentioned, it'll mostly just affect the store-level employees. So here's my advice about that:
If you want to move the world towards shutting down giant corporations (or at least kicking them off their high horses so they have to complete on a more fair playing field), just refuse to spend your money at any of them, nag your parents/family/friends to do the same, and when you're old enough, invest in the stocks of independent startups and support your friends who start small businesses.
Yea half assing ones principles is the way to go.
yeah imo stealing worthless frivolous shit (like these morons) is not as bad as someone stealing essentials, but stealing anything hurts not just the corporation but it's workers. don't steal guys 👍
IMO 🤷♀️
@@gabriellas_fan same principle but one case might be easier to forgive. I'll give you that, but that decision solely lies with the victim.

Especially because most of the time employees are not allowed to stop / given any training on stopping people

They basically rip through the skin. I got a third piercing from an actually tattoo and piercing shop and I talked about my experience at Claire's with him, and he confirmed that the piercing guns are terrible.

When Atozy said “our channel” so cute. Hannah deserves all the love and appreciation

The employees are NOT responsible for stolen merchandise. It's completely out of their control. The can't legally apprehend shoplifters, that would be the job of loss and theft prevention. These retailers also have insurance and just right off the missing inventory. If their losing too much money from theft they're doing something wrong.
