    Ive said it before, and i'll say it again. Nuisance streaming should be made a crime, and websites that host it should be held accountable for hosting it. Tiktok, youtube, twitter, and twitch should all be held accountable for actively promoting and consistently paying people to commit crimes.

    • @solusuniversi8786
      @solusuniversi8786 8 часов назад +9

      Nah, I absolutely hate these types of nuisance streamers… but attacking the hosting sites would impact every form of content on those sites, and ramp up algorithmic censorship wherein a lot of non-offending content would be preemptively censored to avoid hypothetically potential lawsuits. It would also likely be used as an excuse for censorship of speech and expression in general.
      We also shouldn’t ignore the fact that the bulk (if not all) of the income these creeps get is from donations… and if it wasn’t being funded directly via the host, such as through a super chat on yt, it would simply be funded under false pretenses to hide it… all this to say, the hosting sites aren’t paying them much, if any, to begin with in my estimation.
      Accountability should rest squarely on the shoulders of the offenders, and the consequences they face should be significant. Perhaps holding the people who are actually donating to these guys accountable would also help.

      I hired an attorney for $3500 after being accused of a ton of felonies and facing over 20 years in jail, specifically in King County Washington. We showed the DA and the judge THE SAME EXACT EVIDENCE I showed to the detectives and all of the charges were dismissed in the first hearing. I was an idiot and thought the cops wanted to find out the truth but in reality, they tried to ruin my life after I GAVE THEM PROOF that I was innocent.
      Anyway, $6k-$10k should be plenty but then again he's guilty AF so probably not gonna make a difference.

    TikTok content creator here. I can guarantee this guy doesn’t make 6k or more a month from his videos.
    TikTok has the strictest guidelines on earth (trust me, I know) and demonetize videos for all kinds of reasons, even the slightest infraction and no money for you.
    This dudes content in general would be nearly impossible to monetize due to:
    Low Quality
    Harmful Acts and Challenges
    Harassment and Bullying
    Unoriginality
    And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. There is no way in hell this dude was monetized. He might’ve been getting gifts and things like that, but was definitely not part of the creator rewards program.

    The really stupid thing about the dog is that, IIRC, *he turned himself in.* And at the time he didn't bother to even think about the fact that just _maybe_ before marching down to the police station to surrender himself on _a felony charge,_ he might want to make some arrangements for somebody to take care of his dog if he doesn't come back home right away??
    I really hope the dog is ok and somebody responsible is actually taking care of it. To be honest, if I were that judge, after hearing that, I probably would have had somebody contact animal control to go to his house and take the dog into custody. (It'll probably go to a shelter, which is not ideal, but it's better than starving to death in an empty home while your owner is stuck in jail for weeks because of his own stupidity...)
