    Hey! I too have my benchtop drill press mounted to a repurposed end table!

      I have learned to upgrade as I grow. Nothing wrong with using something that works, even if it isn’t fancy. Thanks for watching.

      Wow! Thanks! A year later and I’m still using it the same. It still works great. Thanks for watching.

    Nice. I was going to add a cyclone separator to the mix, but now I see it's not needed if I use the thing it comes with as a baffle. That will save lots of time or money.

      Yes and it works very well until it gets over 3/4 full. After that is blows some sawdust outside. I use it as my visual indicator to empty it😂 Thanks for watching.- Ron

    You didn't show the exhaust I like the setup tho

    • @creatorsofthelostart7148
      @creatorsofthelostart7148  3 дня назад

      Thanks for watching! The exhaust is a hole in the wall that that the discharge of blower is screwed directly to. The dust blows directly to outside.

      @creatorsofthelostart7148 I seen that but what comes out what adds up on ground do you collect it

    man I wish I could just blow all the dusty air outside my shop, but where I live its cold out half the year so I cant afford to be blowing all the hot air in my shop outside.

    • @creatorsofthelostart7148
      @creatorsofthelostart7148  11 месяцев назад

      I understand that. I built a woodburner in my shop so it doesnt cost anything to warm it but I also live in central Arkansas where we only have a few days a year below freezing. You will have to run a filter on your dust collector. Thanks for watching.

    How much did it change performance?

    • @creatorsofthelostart7148
      @creatorsofthelostart7148  3 месяца назад

      I cant really give a fair comparison because I never fully assembled it according to directions. If anything, I think it may improve performance due to less airflow restriction (no filter) and longevity by stopping large chips from entering impeller. In two years of moderate use, I have changed nothing from what is shown in video. Thanks for watching!- Ron

    do you not filter the fine particulate dust? ... does it make a mess after some use?

    • @creatorsofthelostart7148
      @creatorsofthelostart7148  Год назад

      We can do that for a while or so what do you want to say

    • @beetleb1801
      @beetleb1801 Год назад +2

      If you are referring to the fine dust that gets past the separator can, he has the exhaust of the extractor venting outside. So, he doesn't need a filter. I do the same with my 2hp dust extractor and it is great. My neighbours are far enough away that any fine dust won't bother them - it just floats away on the breeze.

      @@creatorsofthelostart7148 are you venting outside?

    • @creatorsofthelostart7148
      @creatorsofthelostart7148  Год назад +1

      @@SomeGuy8796 I have no idea how the last response was posted! Yes, the discharge of the fan is bolted to the outside wall. The hole is under my lean to on the outside so I dont have to worry about rain being blown into my dust collector. I have not noticed any fine dust building up more than usual. Thanks for watching. Next weeks video will have some upgrades I added to system.
