Gardez/Feb-2003: Blaber and the Delta term(s) used the same compound as our group did during Op Anaconda (March 2002). April of 2003, we traveled thru Khost and by the map records of the Tillman's Ranger group during the "friendly fire" incident which killed Tillman. The terrain is just so demanding, so challenging and the decision during Tillman's time to separate the Ranger's for a reason few understand was a tragic mistake. Couple with the "coverup" of how Tillman died is a testament to Blaber's assertion of toxic leadership. Blabler was in Bosina (near Brcko) whereas a number of indicted war crminals (unknown to the public) were killed during an arrest mission. The thread of the "how" came from one of our translators who spoke local language overheard talk in the coffee bars. That info went to a local Bosina Police office in G. Rahic..and worked it way up..we all thought it was Bosinans, but it was Delta. Blaber mentions this threat in his book. At Balad in 2005. RH/05-11A
Pete Blaber, what a legend. I grew up without mentors and along the way, I have created my own mentors by just learning from their wisdom and experiences which led me to CCT in the USAF. I'm adding Pete Blaber to my list.
Him talking about shooting and how he helped change it in the rangers is crazy to hear because it was just a few years ago that the marines finally did the same thing across the board.

At the end of the video with viewer Q and A a question about the British SAS rescuing a CIA officer(it was a very poorly worded question) in the early 2000’s I’m pretty sure the viewer is referring to the uprising at the Qala-I-Jangi fortress in Nov 2021 in Afghanistan where CIA officer Mike Spann was unfortunately killed. British SBS had responded along with US SF to help quell the uprising at the Fortress.

Then one of them said "All of those blown out tires by the house should have the tread removed and we can drill 2 inch sheetrock screws from this cabin and drill em in the treads to blow the tires, then hit em like a frieght train, before they can even grab a trigger".....it worked. The main theme of the book is "do not trust any intel that is not in real time or boots on the ground." "Don`t get treed by a chihuahua." the way he did(Pete) in "The Bob" during selection to Delta. He climbed a tree cuz a squirrel spooked him, and he was thinking "Bear"!!!! Anyhoo, I believe it is Blabers first book, and it is chock full of good stuff. I am sorry, I just remembered the name of Blaber`s book "The Men, The Mission, and Me". LOL, I have only watched about 15 mins. of this podcast and you all will probably know more than me in a little bit!
Like the black back ground with this guy fit's in well.
Real operator
You should try to get a hold of some of the Afghan army guys who came over here after we left.
If you’re given command of Delta then you have to be the cream of the crop.
I agree about the SGM, being a. Officer mine helped me.
Please add time stamps in the description. Thanks!
What a legendary leader
Got his books awesome
Guys. You have such a great podcast. Great guests, great stories. You guys have to take it to the next level and stop the zoom calls. Fly the guests out, Every guest, put them in a hotel and get them in the studio! You guys are not doing the show justice. The quality needs to be up to par with the guests and stories. The lag in conversation and the audio quality is not there yet. STEP IT UP!
Appreciated
As a private then later an officer in the 75th I agree with him.
AT 3:26: he mentions a website.. can someone help me with the name or a link. i cannot find it.. thank you in advance
if Pete were to call me today, without hesitation , I would saddle up.
Amazing leader. True bad ass
Would've liked to have Thomas Greer on
His book the men the mission and me is a great one
Dave, your breath dances like a whispering melody, serenading my senses. It's as though I'm nestled beside you on a bed of dreams, feeling a tender tickle as the essence of your touch caresses the strands of my hair, each one blushing under the warmth of your smelly breath…..
As always, cheesy intro and good shit keep it up.
Dave, please do everyone a favor and move the Mic a bit.
Try standing up to piss my friend.
Stop pissing with your pants at your ankles keyboard commando
Thanks for the feedback. Was the mic too close to my mouth?
Your audio was good. However you were breathing directly into your mic. Still great video.

@@bradchris2154 yikes, sorry about that. I’ll try to fix it next time.
Good to see a Brother Soldier from The 1/38 Inf. We probably crossed paths. I was there from Dec of 85 to Jul of 91. I was with Bravo Company 1/38. Very cool. I don't miss smelling that wet Burlap on my K-Pot though, Lol
1st Commander Carabajal, I’ve never heard of anyone in the military with the same last name as me even though I’m sure his was without the 2nd A in his last name like mine. Especially because he’s from California too like myself.
That many Generals and Admirals eh? I think in the IT world...they call that "bloatware".
So is he saying that they landed 3 headshots on Tillman by firing up a mountain through foliage?
Panther!
Im about an hour from Shawne national Forest, and i agre
23:05 wow. Scary.
i thought being in the unit wasnt voluntary. like somebody has to approach and invite you to try it. I might be wrong but the way shrek told his path to the unit you dont even know where are you trying until you pass everything. lt's not like i am ranger cause my goal in the future is the unit.
Can you guys prerecord your ads. Good Lord
I wish you guys would pre record your sponsor shout outs, and edit them in after the interview in post…that’s how the Pro’s do it…it’s super distracting and awkwardly cringe…when you have to stop everything and talk about a discount code for a fleshlight…it really kills the interviewees story flow and super annoying for the audience…and lots of us pay extra for RUclips premium to not hear commercials and yet we’re still hearing them…
I wish you would change your profile picture to something that’s not disrespecting those who have and are currently serving in the US military. Stolen valor is super cringe and awkward. And just because you already have tons of fleshlights doesn’t mean they should stop the ads 😂
@@thilde007 I’ll change my profile pic to me hookin up with your mom in my class A jacket…you jackass LOL
@@thilde007 🤣🤣🤣👍🏻🤙🏼
@@thilde007 he’s right tho, don’t get to butt hurt. Shit is cringe and quite disrespectful to the guest to stop them mid talking to ramble about a dumb ass sponsor. Pre record it, and edit it in post processing.
The intro is cringe AF too
Time stamps?
I have his book, Men Mission Me
You should use time stamps!!
the ARGO plan had to come through some comedian thought as related to the gorilla story.
